Microwave, fridge, iron, etc. Clean, comfortable bed and pillow.  Elevator to upper floors. Very secure, well lit parking in cove between this and the Holiday Inn next door.  Only one way in/out. Not very attractive to criminals. The outside doors actually lock and require a door key to get in.  Close to restaurants, gas, stores.  They are renovating many rooms. The Holiday Inn next door is the same owner so that's where we get to go for breakfast, at least temporarily.

We did, they talked with hotel and stated we were a "no show" and no refund would be coming. That was a lie right there. We did show up and were turned away. I feel this hotel just stole our money and being on a retirement income I can't afford to just have people steal my money. I have tried working with credit card company and it gets blocked by hotel every time.

She checked me in, helped me select my nail color and then offered some spa water while I waited for Lauren, their nail tech, to finish up with her client. Lauren did a super job on my nails and was very polite and friendly, I enjoyed our conversation during my manicure. Both make you feel welcomed and at home. A very relaxing and elegant spa.

Upon entering the room the chair was blocking the door ,and it wouldn't open all the way so, I rearranged the desk and a long dresser so we could open them door better with our bags in hand. We ate food , so there was crumbs and wrappers we threw away. At checkout time the owner was walking around to each room. And he walked out of ours and yelled at me to move that furniture back the way it was. I told him it was difficult to get in and he said I was a liar. As I moved the furniture back around he insisted on telling me that was how the legs broke by sliding it. I said I had hell when I moved it that night and I returned the furniture to it's original location. He then said I had purchased the room for one person and I had two and that we were blacklisted now because we lied about how many were in room,. There was only my husband and I and because we rearranged the shitty furniture. To. And he threatened to call the police. I hope everyone reads this and knows that you get what you pay for in this place. And there was no need for the treatment we got. The man was rude and even if we weren't blacklisted now I would have drove 20 more minutes to Booneville anyway. No need for treatment like that.

I predominately stay at Hampton and they vary quite a lot around the country. And yes, there are such a range, but most all fit a Hilton standard that I found comfortable with traveling as much as I do. The staff was very sharp, Carol is the one who checked me in, was very detailed on locations of breakfast coffee bar, etc. as their layout was limited yet the new design made this older building stand out very well. Elevator is right there next to the entry and new carpet everywhere paint and bright art on the walls made this a 2023 hotel that is certainly probably seen many years of use in a unique location very much in need of a hotel like this. The bedroom was clean and fresh, bathroom was impeccable, the beds are my reason for staying at the Hampton Inn, and were extremely comfortable, air conditioning, worked well, and Internet was standard. Everything I'm looking for. This is a very off the road location for me on business but glad I found it and highly recommend it not only to business travelers that service, local industries, but visitors to the lake looking for a nice hotel. Antique furniture throughout the hotel which gives it that early 1900 vibe. Our host, Sheri Farris, was most gracious and is the definition of Southern Hospitality.

Last time I thought it was getting bad but this time was the pits. Here's the breakdown: Pros: -The staff was friendly, kind, and respectful -Breakfast was your typical holiday inn express breakfast. Nothing to complain about really. -bed were comfy and sheets seemed clean Cons: -waited close to an hour past check in to get in room. Staff said there were many rooms checking out and only 4 housekeepers working. -rooms have not been deep cleaned in a long time (probably because they don't have the time with limited staff) - dust everywhere -mold around a/c vents, bathroom -paint peeling from ceiling and walls -furniture was ripped and dirty -floors were sticky and dirty to the point of wearing shoes in the room - door handle was broken to bathroom -cockroach found under bench where luggage was placed -trash was thrown in one lamp. Was also dusty -hall light was hanging from ceiling -not enough towels. Had to go to front desk. Not enough there either so had to wait on housekeeping to come bring extra. Positive was that the housekeeper was very nice. -keys didn't work most of the time. Many visits to front desk. Other families were in rooms and they had a ripped couch where there was pieces were missing where staff covered it with towels. Under their couch they had a half eaten brownie. When doing her nails the mom used a black light dryer and unfortunately saw the couch under that light. . Their key didn't work so much the front desk gave them a master key . Another family had to be moved because a/c would go any lower than 78 degrees. Their next room had a pull out couch where their daughter was to sleep but it wouldn't pull out. She had to sleep on the couch but the sheets were filthy. Luckily her mom brings extra sheets for situations like this. The pool: the device for allowing people in wheelchairs into the pool was broken. The water was chilly. The sky lights were broken and covered with trash bags. Water wasn't horribly dirty. Two towels available for all swimmers at 10 am. Breakfast area: staff kept food supplied. One staff member was friendly while another did her job and was not overly friendly but that is okay. Both were attentive to cleaning the tables and floors. Overall, breakfast area was fine. Lobby was okay as well. Overall: wouldn't recommend. This is unfortunate. This use to be a really nice hotel but it has really gone down hill. This is beyond needing updating. It needs an overhaul and deep cleaning. Then the morning of their departure the outlet tripped.
