This is definitely a 5 star Hampton. Starts with very friendly staff. Also, the property is very clean and up to date. The room was modern with a very comfortable bed. Nice big flat screen tv too. This is a great option for splitting up a long drive between St. Louis, MO and Fort Myers, FL especially when traveling with your furry family member. The room and hotel property inside and out is clean, well maintained and the complimentary breakfast offering is good. The KS room is quite spacious and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The staff is very friendly. We will stay here again the next time we follow this route of travel. read more

Although very clean, the evening I checked in, the key machine wasn't working and apparently hadn't for a few days and wouldn't be fixed until the following week. A huge inconvenience for me as I have a service animal and had to rely on the very young and couldn't-care-less staff, especially the front desk manager Pebble, who flat-out lied to me when asking questions, I will refrain from sharing, but it was very unprofessional and, well, laughable. They had to walk me to my room each time I left the premise to then let me in my room, which was several times and having to wait at the front desk for the staff to do so, was again, another weird inconvenience. As a diamond member, I wasn't offered any water or an apology for that matter. When asked if they would throw a few points on my account for the inconvenience, I was barked at by Pebble, again for simply asking a reasonable question. The following morning, their printer wasn't working properly, and although I did receive a print out of my bill, it took quite a while. I've stayed at hundred's of Hampton Inn's for my work and this one really missed the mark. read more

Terrific hotel!! My husband and I stayed here for two weeks while our Tiffin motorhome was having some warranty work performed at the nearby Tiffin factory. The staff at the Hampton Inn were so nice and accommodating. Everyone from the front office/desk staff to the two ladies working the breakfast buffet in the morning. They kept everything well stocked all morning, the area was clean, and the food was quite good. it's a very quiet hotel, and once the buffet shuts down in the morning there are plenty of seats and tables for just relaxing, reading or working on your computer in a quiet atmosphere. Had a last-minute trip in the area and decided to stay here at the Hampton Inn. I arrived at night time and was able to check in with a digital key on my phone which was nice. Room was very clean, with extremely comfortable bed. The best part of this hotel was actually the staff that worked in the morning. Matt that was in the breakfast area was always cleaning and there were plenty of breakfast options that were good. I had this older gentleman that was so kind. We had a nice little chat. Then overheard a couple asking for some hot sauce., at first he could not find any and actually had offered to drive over to the nearest grocery store to get them some. The ladies at the front desk were so nice. It just reminded me of that sweet southern hospitality that I love about this area. read more

We are traveling from Tampa fl to Oklahoma. We like staying at Hampton inns because the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are normally clean. We have stayed here,at this Hampton in Winfield AL many times. We were so tired and desperately needed sleep. The heat stopped working around 1 am. The shower doesn't work. But worst was waking up to 2 or 3 children and a dog jumping off the beds and running in the room above us. I called the desk and asked them to call the room before I start screaming 'no running.' My husband told the young man about no heat and no shower but the clerk just looked dazed at my husband' and didn't say a word. The you g girl who helped us check in was very nice and accommodating but not the clerk on duty this morning. I'm very disappointed in our stay. We are older and need our sleep. Great place to stay. I would consider this a 4 star hotel. The staff was friendly at the front desk. All sported tattoos. :) The rooms were clean and new looking. Breakfast was ok... It would had been better if they had eggs. They had French toast instead. Off the highway, there is only one hotel, this one.. Along with 2 gas stations. Not much on this exit. That being said, I would had expected the hotel to be a bit cheaper. I would visit again. read more

What a marvelous hotel experience we had at this Hampton Inn. During this time of Covid, we were uneasy checking in. But Shea quickly eliminated that feeling. Behind a plexiglass shield, she warmly welcomed us with that big Shea-smile we looked forward to seeing again, and again. She understood we might stay one day or two weeks as we were having repairs done on our motorcoach. It was quite all right with her and she made us feel comfortably welcome. When we went into our room the first thing we noticed was a seal on the door. In order to get in one had to break the seal. That made us feel so comfortable about who had been in our room during this time of Covid. In the room, we found everything spotless. Everything was so neat fresh and clean. We had no trouble relaxing and enjoying the time spent sleeping or handling the TV remote-control. We just knew everything had been wiped down and put in perfect order. The next morning, as the breakfast bar was closed, Pebbles graciously, without me asking, immediately provided us with a to-go package for each of us. The package contained two bottlers of water, two hard-boiled eggs, a container of orange juice, a bagel and cream cheese. (Talk about ample!). And, Smilingly, Pebbles suggested we might enjoy the coffee across from the check-in desk. There was a coffee bar with excellent coffee- decaf, morning-blend or BOLD, our choice. The cups were all individually wrapped as were the coffee additions like creamer or sweetener. Better yet, the coffee was outstanding. Wait!! You like coffee? In our bathroom, was a coffee-maker and cellophane-wrapped cups AND cellophane-wrapped coffee in its own plastic container, ready to be inserted into the coffee-maker. Sanitary to the Max! To summarize, this is definitely a five star hotel. When in Winfield area, you must find a way to stay there. read more

Giving this a three star because the staff there was non-existent. I waited and waited and waited for someone to come to the front desk so I could get a key since the digital key wasn't working. No one around. I called the front desk so that a ringing phone would hopefully draw attention to the front desk attendant. It didn't work so my husband went looking for someone. He found the lady in the hallway talking to a maid. He told her she is needed at the front desk, she finally shows up and rudely lies and says she was in the bathroom. I'm seriously like my husband literally just pulled you away from talking in the hallway which she seemed annoyed at him for interrupting her conversation. It's a shame she lied to me. Same when I went to check out, no one around. I needed a receipt for my stay but I had to leave so I left the key and walked out. So I give this hotel 3 starts for the hotel part and 0 for the staff. I checked in around 7ish when Gotham premier was starting. The front desk clerk didn't upgrade me being a gold member but that was okay. However, I did get a drink and snack. I got a Fresca and Toblerlone so had something to snack while I watched the premier on TV. I used the swimming pool the next day which was nice to do some laps. I also got to use the fitness center which was a lot better than Jaspser Hampton Inn. The pool was a tad bit smaller than Jasper but the location was key for me. It saved me 30 minutes in driving from here compared to Jasper. The breakfast is always standard here so avoid the plastic fried/scrambled eggs. read more

I have stopped here for five years on my way to another location further west. I have always loved the staff and the rooms. This year I found that things had changed. Even though the room was as expected, clean and comfortable I got a sense that the staff was not the same. Early in the evening I heard a truck pull up outside my window. I assumed it was a delivery truck so I ignored it. Several hours later it was still parked in the parking lot below with its motor idling. I finally called the front desk and was told that the driver comes twice a week and always parks his truck there with the engine on to keep the pizzas cold and that it would be there all night. I suggested that that was like a truck stop and she argued with me. Even inexpensive motels can have some standards. read more

They were all very proud of their service, in fact I these guys rated ridiculously high in their state and country within their class...maybe it was all hilton hotels or something...can't exactly remember. Trustworthy staff and a great hotel. I was forced here by a snowstorm - roads were closed and people kept piling into the hotel lobby since the hotel was sold out. The hotel handled it REALLY well and I'm sold on their service level. They had 30 or so people camping out in the lobby and what was their reaction? They passed out blankets and pillows and let people pillage the breakfast area snacks so they wouldn't go hungry. This hotel bent over backwards to take care of plenty of people that weren't paying. Being a Hilton honors member we tend to stay at Hampton Inn's when traveling. This one was clean the rooms were appointed as usual. We had to get two queen bed as the kings were all taken. The beds were comfortable. Slept well. Breakfast was OK but not spectacular, But breakfast is free so you really can't complain. The coffee is always good. Since I'm unsure what other hotels are in the area I don't to say this is a good choice. read more

While visiting the area this past weekend for the Haleyville 911 Festival with Lonestar as their musical act, I chose to stay here, which is about 20 miles away because I am a bit of a hotel snob and there are only local one star motels in Haleyville. It was everything I expected it to be and maybe a little more. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the complementary breakfast was welcome (especially considering my experience with the one restaurant, Huddle House, within a 5 to 7 mile radius) I stayed in a king room with shower only and it was great! The room was well-maintained. The shower was incredible! That may sound funny but I'm as picky about my showers as I am about my hotels and a bad shower will ruin the entire hotel for me. The pool area was very clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you're in the area. read more
