I didn't realize my new prescription hadn't gone through until I was down to only one pill. I first called the pharmacy. They told me they hadn't received the 'script. Then I called my doctor who immediately resent the prescription. I waited for a short time, then followed up with another call to the pharmacy. I requested expedited shipping/overnight when they had a chance to fill the prescription. I still expected that would take 3-5 days. (The overnight shipping did cost extra, which I was very glad to pay.) The pharmacy somehow filled it right away, and I did receive it the very next day. I very much appreciated that!! I have had the pleasure of being switched to this pharmacy recently from another in Scottsdale by my physician. I called on two different occasions a month apart with questions on my script and both times my call was answered in the same day with professionalism and kindness. My physician had a bad date for shipping and when I contacted the pharmacy they corrected same day and got my script to me on time before I left town. Super positive experience. read more

Like the others, I switched to WIP due to low price, and the customer service was great. The pharmacist would personally speak with you and was helpful. Then along came Belmar and that all went away. So did I. I haven't returned, since the reviews say it all. I hate paying more, but my local compounder will talk to me and give me straight answers with 2 day service. read more

Belmar bought out Women's International Pharmacy, which was wonderful. I am very unhappy with the switch. They take 10 days from receipt of prescription before they fill it. They didn't tell me they didn't have my payment info on file, so just sat on it since they do nothing without payment details. I've found them to be rigid and unbending, very corporate in their approach. The organization as a whole is not remotely patient friendly and ties the hands of any employee who tries to be helpful. And they are very expensive while dishing out rudeness for free. I am looking for an alternative. read more

I have used this pharmacy for years, beginning when it was Women's International. I have found their service to be great. I place my refill order online and within a week or so I have it at my door. I just have to make sure to remember to order it before I know that I will run out, knowing that it takes time to compound it. read more

I live in Arizona, and thought I would get my RX filled quickly. Nope. They took the payment 5 days ago, and I am still waiting for the tracking info. I called and was told it just came out of production today and may or may not be shipped tomorrow- depending on how many other scripts they have. They won't issue refund- but can't guarantee it will be sent out either. RIDICULOUS! Do not recommend. read more

I used this pharmacy when they were Women's International Pharmacy. Since they've been sold to Belmar they must have been given permission to be rude because I've had nothing but trouble getting one prescription filled. Apparently they couldn't get a hold of my doctor to verify a signature (which has never been an issue with any other pharmacy). When I mentioned my doctor was very busy, a representative who said his name was "Fee" said, "As are we." Nice customer service! No wonder their average rating is two stars. This is a summary of my experience with WIP (AZ) as a customer over the last several months. My primary prescription with them is a compounded medication that's required many adjustments to get to the right dose. Usually, it took five-ish business days for them to get a new formulation sent out and I typically had enough meds to see me through. However, the last time the dose was changed, it took 10 BUSINESS DAYS for it to be SENT. I had to resort to cobbling together leftover meds. Not happy. My latest order was a refill that I called in on 11/20/23 (Monday before Thanksgiving). The tech was not the friendliest I've spoken with. I let her know how long it took to receive my last order and asked how long this one might take. She was gruff but said she'd see what she could do to get it sent out promptly. I was notified later that day that it was sent and I received it on Wednesday, 11/22. The meds have always been packaged correctly and, for the most part, their techs have been helpful. Almost gave up on WIP but their recent quick refill of my prescription will keep me with them for a bit longer. Moving forward, I plan to ask how long it might take to receive my meds and if I'm not notified in a couple days that it's been sent, I will call to inquire. Recently, I heard that the government is cracking down on compounding pharmacies and that there are and will be fewer of them. WIP's shortcomings may be a result of trying to serve as many people as they can. read more

First and last time ordering hormones from this completely inept pharmacy. Took over two weeks to have hormone creams filled. They needed to be cool while shipping, wrapped in ice packs they sent them out in July over a holiday weekend. Hormones arrived, hot. Ice packs, hot. Cream separated. Called to get help and reorder replacement, no help at all - they refused to replace. $150 waste of money, time and energy. Will NEVER use this pharmacy again. read more

I have been a mail order customer for some 20 years and as long as I do not have to call them, all is well. I started with them on referral from my doctor. My Rx comes from Wisconsin, and like another reviewer here, they have 'not received anything from my doctor. I was at my doctor's when they faxed it in January. It is now May and the receptionist, who could use an attitude adjustment and should not be answering phones, tells me that they have still not received anything from my doctor. Every month I have to wait almost a month for my prescriptions to be filled. and when I do call, they are very rude, when I'm just asking them questions. Then I have to pay $40.00 to rush my prescriptions. because I've had to wait so long. I get a three-month supply of my prescriptions. But one month I am chasing Women international pharmacy trying to receive my medicine before my hormones crash. they always have so many excuses why they cant just send your prescription out, it's never there fault though. Actions speak louder than words, just look how many bad reviews there are on just yelp alone, it speaks for itself. this was the last straw; I've been with them for about 13 years. Not getting orders done within a week! I called on Monday January 23 to have two prescriptions refilled. Tech asked if they could be sent separately I said either way is fine but I only have 14 Progesterone capsules left so please send them Fed Ex overnight. After numerous calls to make sure they got doctor approval and ship them to my vacation address, one week later they still have not processed the order. In short they are not getting it done. I have used Women's International Pharmacy for over 15 years for my hormone needs. They have been one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They have gone above and beyond to meet my needs, and they are always kind and understanding. I am aware that it is taking them a lot longer these days to get prescriptions filled, and still longer for the mail to deliver them, but I believe that is a result of what's been going on in our country the last couple of years. It has gotten difficult for most businesses to deliver as efficiently as they used to. I was on the phone this morning with Terry, one of your technicians, and she worked creatively to get me my hormones as quickly as possible. Everyone has always been extremely helpful and my orders are always filled quickly which is nice because I'm not always the best at calling for a refill. I used them for 15 years! Recently, maybe a year ago, the click top (grey) was changed and it is clogged a lot. Each time I did a dose, a different amount seemed to come out. I learned that compounding pharmacies are not sanctioned by the FDA. They follow no rules to protect us. There is nothing on their website about quality control and measurements. We don't know if we get the amount, we should need to protect us. Luckily, I found an alternative, after all these wasted? years. You can get bioidentical estrogen hormones in patch form. And there's a bioidentical progesterone also. And if you do it, like I did, save an s-load of money! read more

Ordering and shipping went smoothly. The problem I had was with the quality / potency of the product. I was previously with a different compounding pharmacy, and wanted to try Women's International because the cost is lower. Unfortunately it seems the quality is lower too! Unfortunately, I have to join the reviews regarding how much their customer service have deteriorated for the last year or more. I have had my bioidentical hormones replacement filled by this pharmacy for several years, always timely and accurately; The last two years however, there has been nothing but problems; So, at the last time, they sent me a refill for the wrong hormone, although I have talked to them three times regarding the right one, it was over a month late, and when I called them back, they took an hour to transfer me from one to another tech, until the pharmacist finally gave me a refund, but still charged me shipping for this unapproved hormone and never sent the right one! I switched to a local pharmacy and I am just hopping they settle down and start providing again their old level of service. read more

I unfortunately find myself joining the "bad review club". I do not usually post reviews but I am just pain exasperated. I had been a customer of WIP for at least 30 yrs but switched over to Belmar Pharmacy a few years ago. Belmar was EXCELLENT in every important area - Customer service, timliness and more. Unfortunately Belmar temporarily cannot mail to my state so I decided to switch back to WIP. This is the 2nd order I've placed this year and both orders had problems. I knew my physician had place the order the day after my appt. I waited 4 days to call and when I did they said they were waiting for confirmation from the Physician on some matter but had not heard back. I found this HIGHLY doubt as this Dr is amazing , it's a small office and they respond to whatever is needed Immediately. I called the Dr and sure enought they had never heard from WIP. I called WIP back and relayed the informationriday It has now been 11 days since the order was placed and when I called today they said it would be shipped out today - which is Friday - So who knows when it will arrive. Women's International Pharmacy was excellent until they were purchased by Belmar in 2021. Now they are the worst. They keep you on hold for 20 minutes, don't return calls, and don't keep agreements. I talk to a different person every time. One person tells you one thing. Another person tells you the opposite. They claim that they need three to five business days to process my order because they have hundreds of other orders ahead of mine. read more

But ever since the business was sold, the wait times for receiving my meds (via mail) have gone from less than four days to almost two weeks. Now I find out today that they are being delivered by UPS and NOT USPS. And they should have been here tomorrow but now won't be delivered until next Monday. Almost two weeks after I requested the refill. I've been with WIP for 20+ years. I, unfortunately, may need to look elsewhere. My heart is breaking over this. read more

I'm very happy with Women's International Pharmacy. My doctor recommended it. The prices are a lot less than at other compounding pharmacies. I did have a problem with a delivery as I live in Phoenix, Arizona and during the summer I had them send me my prescription through the mail. Bad idea! The ice pack was like a hot water bottle. The medicine had melted and was ruined. They immediately replaced it. I have never had a problem talking with any of the staff regarding my prescriptions. read more

Had a positive experience getting refills for one of our pet's medications, but after that cat passed away it's been difficult trying to get our other cat on a new account for a prescription. Vet's telling me one thing, these guys are telling me another, and confusing both my vet and me. Way more aggravating than it needs to be. I had a terrible experience with one of the pharmacists here. They sent me a 6 month refill and charged my card $150 without me being signed up for auto refill or asking my permission. When I called them after receiving 6 containers in the mail and finding the charge, the tech I spoke to was perplexed and apologetic while the pharmacist was incredibly rude. She offered me a "one time courtesy" of returning some of the containers. I, instead gave them the one time courtesy of charging pharmacies. Do not trust these people. read more

My poor review and complaint is listed below the line, but a follow up is necessary. I got a call from an owner/manager at my house, If i give a real bad review, I think it warrants giving the business a chance to call you at home. I've had good/bad luck with this, but today it was, frankly, excellent. The gentleman I spoke with admitted that his employees dropped the ball, that communication wasn't up to their usual standard, and that once a mistake had been identified, more options to fix it should have been taken. He spoke as apologetically as I would, at my job, for a personal error, taking responsibility for the goof, and lack of empathy perceived. He offered better future service, and free shipping on our next order. While free is always nice, it is completely unnecessary, but the gesture is appreciated. My review was for one star, I've upped it to two, and I'll see if the spouse wants to continue patronizing this business, I'll actually try to convince her to give it a second chance based on the conversation I just had. If we can go a year without lackadaisical "tudes" I'll up the rating some more to a more neutral three stars, or more......stay tuned. A request for another order filled and fed-ex'd denied, we will have to wait for the ground mail. We are not talking about narcotics here.....just a hormone supplement. Every woman out there, consider this? How would you like someone to take your ovaries out for 10 plus days a month, at random, without your say. And when you ask to have them put back in tomorrow, your female pharmacist says....you'll have to wait up to another 10 days. Their website says customer service is a priority...I THINK NOT! thoughts that come to mind: Bad, Condescending, Horrid, Degrading, Chemical Abandonment, Ignored, Service and communication minimal. This the worst pharmacy ever! My doctor authorized my refill on 6/22. I contacted the pharmacy on 6/27 to confirm they received it. They received it on Friday 6/24 and did not have time to fill the prescription before the weekend. They said they would fill it on Monday 6/27 (the day I called) and get it in the mail. My c/c was charged on Wednesday 6/29. I called women's pharmacy today 7/6 and they said the prescription was still not filled, the tech said they had 3-5 business days from 6/24 the day they received it. If you do the math my order should have been sent out on 7/1. I always get the run around from this pharmacy. Women's International Pharmacy has incompetent employees! read more

AWFUL!!!!! First and foremost, rude. When I called to have my prescription refilled, the woman I spoke with acted like I was trying to refill some narcotics or something because I was asking prior to my three months. Tried explaining to her I travel a lot and don't want to forget to order and run out. Still met with complete and uncalled for rudeness. Come on now, do you wait until you are completely out of toilet paper before you go buy more. No, you buy more when you get low so one day you aren't sitting on the toilet and have one paper. Geez Next and the worst is the other day (June 4th) I check my mail and there's my prescription sitting in the boiling hot mailbox! Postmarked May 30th. So there's a good chance it sat in my mailbox for at least 3 days. No cooling pack, nothing. It says right on the label, "Store at room temperature away from HEAT! It also goes onto state "Your medication will be shipped ON ICE". Of course when I called with my concerns I was told it is not an issue and they never ship with a cold pack. WRONG, my 1st shipment from them was sent with a cold pack and that was back in April when it wasn't even 100 degrees out. Though honestly the cold pack doesn't stay cold, even in April. Needless to say, I will be reporting. They are gambling with our health. I am taking my scripts to try and regulate heart and kidney issues and not getting the results my Dr. has hoped for. After reading many reviews by others, I am now questioning the quality of what they sent me back in April. In the trash can they go :( read more

I've used women's International Pharmacy for about 4 years. Although once or twice I've had spotty service, most of the time they are very quick with delivery and excellent at communicating with me. if something is going to take longer because I'm out of refills, they always let me know, and my orders usually arrive within a day or two. When they have made a mistake which has happened a couple of times, they have apologized and reimbursed me for some extra postage or unordered product. The website is fantastic- so user friendly. I think they work hard to do a good job over there! read more

I have been ordering my bioidentical hormones from Women's International Pharmacy for over a decade. Initially my interactions with the company were good and deliveries were timely. However, over the last couple years their timeliness of completing refills and their customer service has really deteriorated. Late in 2019, it took over a month to have my prescriptions filled even before the COVID-19 crisis had fully disrupted business services. The Pocket RX app does not notify me of the status of my prescriptions even though my email address is listed. There is lots of confusion in the organization regarding credit card info and valid prescriptions. Often the technicians are short and challenging to deal with. I'm not sure how their pricing compares to other pharmacies, but I may have to "jump ship" and find a new option. read more

Do not use if you want the correct amount of medicine each day. I tried them for 3 prescriptions and had the following problems: 1) Put first two prescriptions in a wrong container. 2) Could not get prescription strength correct after 3 tries. 3) Talked repeatedly about their precision and how they were never wrong even after their pharmacist in another state admitted the delivery method they gave me was not precise. I tried them for a prescription I have used for years. It was a topical prescription and I asked if I could have it in oil rather than cream.They said they could do this. The Pharmacist also offered that I could take the drops sublingually but I declined as I didn't want the medicine going through my entire body instead only absorbed in the muscle as I had been doing for years. When I went to pick it up, they give me a glass bottle with a cap and a separate dropper in a baggie. They said use the dropper to measure out drops but don't leave it on the bottle because it would leak. This meant every time I used the dropper it got oil on the inside and out and that would get all over the inside of the baggie (and whatever else it touched or dropped on as I was applying it). The prescription was supposed to last three months but only lasted about half that time. I called about the problem saying I felt that the prescription strength and definitely the prescription volume were incorrect. I talked about the problems with the delivery method and I said don't you have something like a vinegar bottle that puts drops out instead of a stream that we could use instead of this dropper. They said they had a different bottle that would work better and they made a second prescription saying it would be no cost to me. However they did use one of the refills on my prescription which but I would have to get a new prescription sooner. I picked up the second prescription and it was in that exact same bottle. I handed it back and said no we are using a different bottle this time. The pharmacist came out to talk to me about it reading notes and she said you are taking this sublingual correct?. I said no topically. She read more and said oh you're right we were going to use a different bottle and we put it in the same one. They went in the back and came back with the prescription and Eye dropper bottle about 5 minutes later. The second prescription lasted longer But it still did not last the full 90 days. It also still didn't feel like the prescription strength was correct. It was the holidays and I had long crazy hours so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had a third bottle bottle filled, this time they put it in the correct bottle. The holidays were over and my life was back to normal. This bottle felt like the first one. Even though I carefully measured drops there was no way they had the correct volume. And the strength of the medicine was not correct as I was still getting symptoms as if I didn't have medicine in me. I called and asked to speak to the pharmacist about the problem again. They connected me to a pharmacist in another state and that pharmacist said well drops are not precise they have variation in size. This was after the local pharmacy told me how exact their drops were. This confirmed I was not getting the correct amount of medicine as well as why the bottle was at mastic the correct amount of time. She said they would do an investigation if they mixed it correctly and get back to me but by then I said I think I need to find a new pharmacy. I did get a phone call back a week or two later from someone saying they had correctly filled the prescription. I said what about the pharmacist that told me the drop size varied. He said I'm just passing along a message. My new pharmacy said the drop size can vary greatly. They did calculations and gave me twice the volume at the same strength as this pharmacy did. Which means I was getting half the Dose at times and no wonder it didn't last the 90 days of he prescription. Their bottle with a dropper did not leak and could be left on the entire time. However they gave me a syringe for exact measurement. The syringe works great and that's what I use. I would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone if you want the correct dose of your medicine. read more

NEVER call in on a Friday to place an order, you won't get it for a week and DO NOT tell the technician you only have a couple of days left of your prescription, they will send it when ever they want, no priority to the patient. They took my money from my account on Fri the day I called. It is now the following Thurs and the mailman still hasn't delivered my order. I just saw the mailman leave and my mailbox is empty. So now I have to suffer hot flashes etc for another day until I can get my cream. Looks like they don't care either way. Usually I get my prescriptions within 3 days. So A) order on a Monday and B) Never tell them your going to run out in 2 days. read more

I am so disappointed. I have used Women's International for years without issue but in the past few months they have really gone downhill. Two months ago I received an Rx that based on my lab results appeared to be compounded incorrectly. This seems to be confirmed because now my doctor had to adjust it to get me back on track & it's been 3 weeks & I still don't have it. I pick mine up so they can't blame it on the mail. Twice last week a customer support rep told me it would be ready in a day or two. It's Monday & today they told me it might be ready today but they can't guarantee it & they will text me I don't need to keep calling them. I called back & asked for the Pharmacy Manager & was told that all of the Pharmacists are on the phone so I could leave a message. Unbelievable! 3 weeks & still waiting to get an honest answer of how long it will take to get a prescription filled. In the mean time I am out of my medication. read more

I have always relied on my internist for recommending. Professional and courtesy staff handle your needs when you call in to get your compounded formulas. They are delivered in a timely manner and packaged carefully. I have had them deliver to me when I have been in a summer location without any difficulty.
