But the new girl there made my nails too thin. It took too long as well. When I went Back there, they were too rude and didn't do anything. This salon is in major need of some new paint on the walls (probably never been done), a dusting (also never done, nail clippings and foot dust everywhere), and a deep clean on everything in the salon. Wouldn't hurt to update any of the decor or pictures on the wall either. I recently did a drop in pedicure and I would say it was the dirtiest salon I have ever been in. I really wish I could write a positive review about this place cause they have such nice colors. My appointment started well with Julia doing my pedicure. She is a sweet heart. I was handed over to Amy to do my solar powder nails. For some reason, their light wasn't working, the polish just wasn't setting. Amy gave me this face like she had hated me since her past life. Then she would blurb out a bunch of Viet which I have no clue what she was saying, then pat on some more polish in hopes that it would work. When she was done, I had polish on my skin, my nails looks like a Pringle wavy chip.. it was horrible. Amy blamed me for not putting my hand in the light properly.... any nail tech who blames their customers should be out the door. I complained to the manager Michelle... Michelle was super nice and apologetic.... she agreed with how terrible of a job Amy did and she offered to redo my nails despite how busy they were. I honestly think Michelle tried her best, but I certainly wouldn't come back. This is the final product. I could do a better job myself without painting onto my cuticles. Over the last couple years I have probably visited this place at least 20 times. The ladies that do my nails don't speak a whole lot of English but they do an excellent job. I always get a little extra massage which I love. I usually only get pedicures and am pretty happy with the results. Sometimes I get a little nail design which is pretty cute. I came to Bello's for a pedicure for the first time and was extremely disappointed. The girl that was doing my pedicure cut all the length off my nails after I told her that I would like to keep them long. Also, she cut them on a slight diagonal just make things better. But the worst part is that she cut me 4 times ! Twice my cuticles bled and twice more she cut my skin with the pumice while going too fast and hitting the bones that sticks out above the hill. Extremely disappointed. However, the salon itself was also questionable. They bring out their equipment from the back and you don't know wether it has been properly disinfected as it did not come from a package, etc. After cutting me, she did not disinfect the equipment either... she just kept going. And the whole time you are sitting there, the smell of the cheap products and other nail treatments is really strong, which I am sure is not healthy to be breathing in. read more

After hearing positive reviews about Bello's nails I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, they wasted both my time and my money andthe whole debacle resulted in me creating a yelp account, just to inform others of my horrid experience. I called Bello's wanting a fill, and they were available to fit me in for an appointment on short notice. Everything was going smoothly until my nail tech was filing down my nails after the acrylic application. She pressed too hard with the drill on my nail bed and caused me to yell in pain. After, she made me bleed doing the same thing on another nail. Fortunately, I was happy with their wide variety of nail colour options. I decided to go with a light blue iridescent colour. On the nail wheel the colour looked smooth and sparkly, however once my nail tech began applying the colour I was completely turned off. The nail polish looked to be about 7 years old and I could see her scrapping the bottle in order to get what was left of it. It seriously looked like something you would find in your grandmas medicine cabinet. As soon as she started applying the colour I told her I did not like how the colour was setting. The colour was dried and did not apply smoothly to my nails. I asked her why it was clumping on my nails and she assured me it was just the sparkle and it would look good after a few coats. The manager heard me voice my disapproval and she came over to tell me that it was what I picked and it was the result of the polish being sparkly. With every coat she put on I became more and more frustrated as the colour was bubbling from it being so old and not like the solid colour displayed on the nail wheel. After applying three coats on each hand she asked me if I liked the colour. I would be embarrassed to ask anybody that question if I was providing a service and my work looked anything like that. My nails looked like they had been done by a toddler experimenting with watercolour. I was so upset, especially after I voiced my concern to the nail tech several times. I told her it was not what I wanted. The manager was now standing over her shoulder listening to us interact. They basically waited for me to come up with a solution to the problem they had let go on for so long. I was becoming impatient and told them to lay a similar colour over the original colour as I was wasting my time. The nail tech buffed my nails but the prior colour was so patchy that even with 2 coats of new polish the colour was not uniform. I asked her to do another coat of polish, despite her telling me they would chip easily with more coats. Even now, they still look patchy and there are bumps and bubbles from the original colour underneath. Not to mention, she did not even cover my entire nail with polish and the sides and edges look terrible. I also have baked on nail polish on my skin because of the sloppy job. The manager knew I was visibly upset and when she asked me if they looked good I replied with "fine." Definitely not worth the hour and forty five minutes and 50 dollars I spent to come out of a salon feeling like I created the problem. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Please do not waste your precious time and money to receive sloppy work and customer service. And to think I was trying to save another 10 minutes by going to Bello's instead of driving to my usual nail place, White Sparkle Nail in Port Coquitlam. Never going to Bello's Nails again. Trust me, White Sparkle Nails is definitely worth the extra 10 mins in traffic if you're coming from Port Moody or Coquitlam! read more

My first appointment at Bello's was amazing. Initially I had booked for a shellac removal and wanted to get another set put on, but after I showed one of the nail techs a picture from their Instagram account they recommended that I get a set where they put on "fake" tips. Needless to say, they were SUPER flexible and wonderful about this change. They were thorough and did a wonderful job. It was a really great experience as it was my first time getting a "fake" set!! The experience I had at Bellos has honestly given me PTSD. Me and my gf went in for pedicures and everything seemed great at first. My friend is a regular here and has been happily coming for years. So naturally we thought they would be able to handle two pedicures. They finished our pedicures and they looked good except my friends big toe. The nail polish was clumped on and was not setting properly; it looked streaky and clumpy. We told the girl the issue, who at first just took her brush and moved around the polish. Clearly this did not work and she removed all the polish and started again. Every time she would do it the same thing would happen. They had closed at this point and my friends toe still looked like trash. The girl was not letting the polish dry before putting on the top coat which kept resulting in the polish streaking and being clumpy. She had redone the nail 6 times when another lady came up to us and asked if we were ready to leave. We explained the situation and that we were unhappy with the result. We had been at the salon for almost 2 hours while this girl redid this one toe. The lady explained that they did not know why this was happening and that it was basically not their fault. Basically blaming my friends toenail???? At this point, we had to leave as we were late, and i told the lady we were not going to pay for this as it looked horrible. You would think as a customer service establishment they would appologize and try to make it up to us. The lady took a cotton swab and wiped the nail off and started to redo it for the 7th time, even though we had told her we needed to leave. Thankfully 2 hours and 7 tries later this lady was able to do it right. The customer service we were given was some of the worst I've ever come across, basically yelling at us for their own lack of skill and poor customer service. I made a last minute appointment here. I was happy that there was an availability because I was dying for a basic pedicure. The shop was busy so I assumed the nail techs are good and professional. The lady worked on my toes was pretty average until she started to scrub the bottom of my foot. She was scrubbing me as if I'm a bathtub that needs to be cleaned. Very rough and obviously she knew cuz I reacted and backed in my feet. When I looked down, the side of my foot bled! I remained calm and pointed it out to her. She acted normal and tapped the blood off with her hand (she had gloves on). She didn't even apologize. Also she didn't apply any disinfectant or those blood stopper drops on it! I should've said something but I was very shocked. The scab on my feet took 2 months to come off. I was scared that I might've contracted something. I arrived a few minutes early and I was given nails to look at to find a colour. Since I did have an appointment, i sat down with Kimmy at 5. She was amazing. I'm always skeptical of salons, especially Stanley nails because of how they literally change prices on the spot for you but Bello's exceeded my expectations! I've been wanting to go to bellos for years since i've only heard about a few bad experiences, so today i went in. I was getting an acrylic set and i like getting longer nails so i showed the girl the length i always get. By the end of her finishing my shape, my nails turned out the shortest i've ever seen them and around an inch shorter than i asked. the thumb is crooked and nothing close to coffin shape, it's a square. And to top it all off, she used green for a design that was supposed to be yellow. this is by far the worst nail experience i've ever had in my 3 years of constant acrylics. i ended up having to pay $70 and was too mad to say anything in the moment, which i should've. i honestly don't know what to do now since i just wasted $70. read more

I get frustrated when I get my nails done (shellac) and it chips a week or two later. I am currently rocking 4 week old shellac; Yeah, they are grown out and gross... but the shellac has not chipped. The downside is it's a busy place, so you almost always need an appointment. But still well worth the $$. read more

My 3 other friends and I went to Bello's and we will honestly never return. First of all one of my friends asked for her toe nail to not be cut to short and they cut it as short as they could and her nails started bleeding, then later was unhappy with the colour of her nails and instead of helping her find another colour the owner started to blame my friend and was not very helpful. A second friend of mine her toe nail was not filed straight and they told her it's straight but afterwards when it was all done she saw it wasn't filled straight and once again instead of helping out they started to argue with us that it was straight. Made an appointment here this morning, everything seemed great at first, but I guess looks can be deceiving. I had Linda as a nail tech, she seemed like she was in a rush most of the time and very rough. She then carelessly cut my with the nail file and when I pulled my hand away she got mad. I asked if I could go wash my hands because she cut me and she told me No, and to give her a minute. The manager then came over after hearing my upset tone and both of them ganged up on me saying that it's OKAY that she cut me because it happens often because I wanted stiletto nails (I know right) and that if I didn't want to be hurt I should have told Linda ahead of time not to cut me!!! I've been stuck near Port Moody and have began visiting this salon. Always a pedicure as I can't reach my toes. Nothing more, nothing fancy. Something cool to note though is they always got this tool that buffs up my nails making them glossy shiny. Even though my toes are mostly covered it's nice of them to pretty up those uly toes. I took my mom to this place since the place I always go was over booked .. The staff are so rude. I told the girl that my nail color was not even and that she missed painting the sides of my nails .. She starts taking nag to the others girl about me in another language and then the lady that worked there came up and said "it's the way that the color is applied " what ???? I stopped into Bello's after brunch at Cora's (the BEST brunch place in the Tri-Cities btw!) and I am soooo happy that I did! I have found my new place for pedis! ($30) Their chairs are a DREAM! The lady that did my pedicure didn't speak much English, but she did a great job on my feet. I'm very ticklish and tend to jump around a lot, but this didn't faze her one bit. I am very happy with the results and have been back many times since! (I work as a lifeguard, so my toes are on display year-round) They also do a good job with sanitizing and cleaning their instruments/stations. I used to love coming to Bellos to see Kallie & Emily. They were amazing at doing what I needed and Incredibly helpful. I loved going here the girls were always personable and kind to me & always took the time to help me with whatever service I needed! Prices were OK could be better sometimes over priced & I did not enjoy Michelle always coming over and speaking a different language round me. I found it quite rude & unkind. My problem with this salon is the fact that when Kallie & Emily left, Jenny and her mother decided to send me a text message with such disrespectful information. Talking badly about your previous employees is NOT OKAY. Especially when they were the best employees you had. It is not professional to text message all of your clients to tell them rude things about their favorite nail artists just so they will continue to give you business. I will not go back to Bellos just because of this. I was thinking of going back to them to have a pedicure but I would much rather take my business to a salon that is respectful of all their employees and their previous employees. Not a salon who is jealous and upset about their best estheticians leaving. It is unfair and rude. As clients we do not need to know what happened in your salon and the drama that occurred. I came here to get a set of nails with a French done one weekend and was disappointed with the result. They offered to fix it and I took them up on the offer and wound up having to have more of my nails filed down, but in the end, the desired look was achieved. I decided to go back and get my fill done there as they had been kind to fix my disappointment the first time. This experience was the last time that I will ever go here. My nails did not look good. There was discoloration from the previous nail gel, to the new gel from the fill, there was small pieces of black fuzz in a couple of places and I had to request to have the white portion filed down underneath my nail and still it was uneven. A few days later, the sides started to lift and my nails were so awful that I had to get them removed. I wound up going somewhere else to get them removed and they were astonished as to how damaged my natural nails were and how thick the gel was. Today, my nails look horrible and are so very thin and destroyed. I do not recommend going here on my own personal experience. I am sure they do fine work as well, but for me, it was not a pleasant experience. read more

Getting too busy with walk in's... I have been going to Bello's for many years (with great service) but the last few visits felt rushed, and the shellac didn't last as long :( Pro's: The staff are friendly and the salon is clean. There is a great selection of colours and nail art. Con's: Lately they take so many walk in's that even with an appointment, there is often a wait. Plus if you are already having a service, it feels rushed, as the salon is so busy. I want to give a better review but I've been disappointed my last few visits here. I can understand not wanting to turn people/business away, but I feel that focusing more on existing clients & doing a better job, would build more customers in the long run? That's my opinion. the person who did my nails were really aggressive and made my thumb bleed. also, the glue got under my real nails and stuck my finger to my nail. overall, the end result left my hands very messy with leftover product everywhere. definitely not worth the $90 as the service wasn't even that good. no shade but she seemed very unprofessional as they used used nail files to file my nails. nail files aren't even expensive so why won't y'all use new nail files? read more

Unfortunately today I was taken in and had my nails prepped for a shellac manicure, but then was kept waiting in my chair for 30 minutes because they had mismanaged the schedule. I eventually had to leave without my shellac, and wasted my only free time today while the baby napped - so disappointing. we were 4 people getting shellac pedicures, the total came to $215, and they had ruined 2/4 of our toe nails & when we tried to point it out to them and complain they would tell us 'your toe is crooked' instead of being mature & actually knowing how to deal with complaints they put the blame on their customers. we went back in to get them to fix it & they started screaming at us telling us its not their fault. while we were there trying to explain how my nail is not like this normally another lady came in to complain about her shellac manicure being ruined aswell, and they said its her fault. if you do not know how to treat and deal with the issues of your business do not act like you are the best in the tri cities. this is why half of your nail techs that started out with you guys left & decided to work on their own or for other places. no manners. can not take responsibility for their horrible technique. 100% do not recommend, if you are looking for good nail salons or techs, go to mimi at blink nails, white sparkle nails or coquitlam nails with callie. Visited Bello's Nail with my Mum and Sister. 3 shellac pedicures and 1 full acrylic set. Obviously, a lot of coin was dropped for the services. I have never been so disappointed in a salon. My technician used a USED Nail file for my pedicure. I have now have a nail infection that requires antibiotics!!!! I wish I had something as it was happening. So bad..I went here twice. First time they don't even blend the holographic color on my nails and you get an additional charge which is fine, but I would expect it to be mediocre at least. Extra charge for disappointment. This time I was desperate to get my nails done. Not even 1 week later, my thumb nail has snapped in half and it's so painful. The shellac on my index finger has fallen off too. This has never happened when I went to good nail techs. Their stuff is so cheap and the nail techs dont seem to have any experience. I want to start by saying this is MY PERSONAL experience and feel the need to share. I have read many reviews about how great Bello's Nails is but unfortunately my experience was not great. When you are reading this please keep in mind that I have had nails for years! I took a 1 year break to give my nails time to breath. I contacted Bello's Nails by phone to set up an appointment for my best friend and I to get full sets for our vacation to Cuba. I had found a glitter I feel in love with on Instagram, it was very "mermaid-ish". I asked on the phone if there was a way for me to send the picture to them to see if it was a glitter they have or could make. I was given a number to text the picture to. Bello's Nail responded with what seemed to be confidence that they would be able to do my nails with a similar glitter. I was excited but found a second design just in case the glitter wasn't what I wanted. My best friend and I went to our appointment and wow we were not impressed by the staff. My nails tech was openly hung over and it was clear that she did not want to be there. I showed her the picture of the glitter nail that I wanted, right away she said they don't have that glitter. She was not willing to mix glitters, I even said I had texted in and was told they had it and she just said "no". So I showed her the second option, a split nail of pink and tiffany blue with chrome. Again, I was told no, which really upset me because now I'm sitting there with no idea what design to get and her Instagram was so good and it really seemed hard to believe that she couldn't do it. After me sitting there visibly upset she said she will try to do the chrome. $100 later (because I also got 2 full nails of sawarski), I left happy. Shape was amazing, polish was smooth, loved the sawarski placement, chrome turned out great! After leaving and talking to my best friend she told me that her nail tech was talking sh*t about our friend who does eye lash extensions. This is not professional. 9 days later, mid vacation I was putting my bathing suite on and my nail broke. I was so upset, all I had done was sat on a beach! How could this happen? I have nails for 2 years before taking a break and not once did I ever have a nail break! Okay, fine this sucks but not worth ruining my trip. Now at this point I'm home and message Bello's nails on Instagram saying how sad I was that my nails didn't even last my whole trip, someone responded and said I could come in and get it fixed, at this point I had had them 2 and a half weeks and would be going for a fill soon so I told them I would wait it out until then. 3 days later another nail broke. 2 day later I noticed 3 nails were cracked mid nail bed. I sent them another message explaining how disappointed I was in the quality of my nails. I asked if they kindly would remove them and that I did not think I should have to pay for this. No response but message was read by Bello's Nail. Now being upset by the customer service I have received, I messaged them again 5 days later asking if they were planning on responding. THEN I got a message apologizing saying they were on vacation and would have someone contact me. I was not contacted. 1 week later I messaged them again asking if I was ever gonna be contacted. I finally got a response saying that I could come in and get my nails removed for free. Guess what? Next day another nail broke. SO 3 nails broken, 3 nails with cracks in the middle of the nail bed with in 4 weeks. I declined their offer to remove my nails as I will not go there again. read more

We have both paid multiple times to go to a different nail salon to put our nails back on. At one salon they commented on the poor job the previous people did (Bello Nails). I got there and was immediately struck by the burning smell of acrylic and gel. i sat down with tammy, which after my appointment i whought was a pretty ok nail tech ( exceptions being filing down my real nails with the drill, which is a BIG no in my book, putting too much glue on the tips, so much that it spilled over onto my skin and had the nails stuck to my skin for the better part of a week). i mean she was fast, pleasant to talk to, and the shape i was really happy with. but boy oh boy is that salon DIRTY. when you raise your eyes from your own nails to take a look around, the whole salon is FILLED with nail dust. and i mean FILLED. it's everywhere. and it did not look like the dust was just accumulated there over one day. they probably don't clean there, EVER. the walls were dirty as well. when i looked down at the towel my hands were on, it had hot pink nail filing from the person before. they don't bother to change it in between appointments. the actual nail file she used looked like it had been used on another 100 people before me and that to me is just unsanitary. anyways, i got my nails done short notice for the event i needed them for and walked out. now, two and a half weeks later, my nails are in pain. due to the amount of glue that she used, my nails didn't have enough room to grow, so they started cracking underneath, right across my nail bed. now i have had acrylics on plenty of times and i have never had this happen to me before. needless to say i will never be going back there again. read more

Terrible experience. Never coming back. Went for an acrylic fill, was told on the phone they only do solar, later found out they do offer acrylic (according to their brochure), I understand up selling but just lying about your services is a different story. The girl who did my nails had no idea what the difference between nail shapes are. I asked her to just file my nails down a bit, she cut half of them off. I asked for a tapered square shape/ coffin shape nail (even showed her a picture), ended up with round tips. I got so frustrated I asked her to just remove everything. The owner then came out and asked about the situation, I explained it to her but the girl who did my nails continuously talked over me in Vietnamese to the owner. I just find it pretty rude that I was the one with a complaint and they have the audacity to tell me it was my fault because I didn't inform the nail tech properly. Maybe there was a miscommunication but the way the situation was handled was terrible. Worst experience at a nail salon ever. I've gone to my fair share of salons and this place has terrible service and is overpriced for their location and services.. read more
