I wanted to go blonde, like really blonde. I took it upon myself to put Sunin in my hair and reapply it throughout the day in 110 degree heat. I had a trip planned to go to Hawaii, with orange hair?! Luckily, I continuously go to Florie and she was super understanding, did a treatment and not only saved my hair for the trip, when I got back she did what I wanted the sunin to do(lol). Jazmine my new DOPE ass makeup artist! I've struggled to find a Makeup artist in Riverside as I'm from Los Angeles. Some might ask why do you need your makeup done when you can do it yourself. First off I'm terrible at doing my own make and second it's such a stress reliever to get your makeup done before an event. Plus my mom always got her makeup done before a party & so did my auntie Melly (an aunt that helped raise me and brother). I searched YELP to find someone. Fate lead me to Jazmine! Her care and expertise is top notch. The Salon was clean and everyone was so nice. They served wine & water in addition to the spa like experience. I came in last year just for a few washes when I was unable to wash my own hair and met Summer. She was super friendly and kind--she made me want to schedule my next haircut with her as well. I've had my haircuts done with her for almost a year now and recently sent my housemates to her as well. She does a great job listening to what I ask for and also takes her time with perfecting the finished look. I'm moving back home after I graduate, but I'll still try to come back because of how much I love Bello! I'm new to the city of Riverside, finding a new dentist, doctor and hair stylist is one of the hardest things to find when moving to a new city. I booked a happy hour blow dry service here and left happy. I booked an appointment for my daughter the following week. She was charged a $2 Covid fee hahahaha. Why do you charge a covid fee if you don't practice covid safety protocols?. She was the only person in the salon who wore a mask. Her temp wasn't taken. So why a covid fee? I wasn't charged a fee and if I was. The receptionist didn't tell me. salons have been open for over a year since the "shut down" why still charge a fee if your prices went up? When I booked my appointment online and over the phone. I was not advice of such a silly fee! There was a time I would have given Bello Salon a 5-star rating but that ended yesterday. I wanted to book an appointment with Diana, a gifted stylist who makes your time with her enjoyable, for a simple trim. However, I was told by someone other than Diana that a $25 deposit over the phone is now required because: * OTHERS have not kept appointments * It is a policy from the salon I have never had to put down a deposit on a little hair trim. No time consuming extensions, no expensive chemicals ... a trim. Stunned, I asked, "Even though I am a repeat customer in good standing?" The gal said yes and asked if I still wanted to book. I said no thank you. (Beyond being penalized for something I didn't do, why should I trust them with my credit card if they don't trust me?) Later, I received a text stating that they wanted to apologize as: * It was not their fault * New software can't accept an appointment without a deposit Sadly, changing the reason and offering an excuse is not apologizing, it's trying to save a sale. Diana ended up contacting me herself to apologize about the situation. I still think she's great and wish her well. It's just that I cannot support a business that treats people this way. As I stated, I never stood them up for an appointment or cost them money in lost product. I can only think that they are not wanting to service the person who only wants a trim. read more

Charlene, the receptionist, is also very great, which is why I'm giving two stars because of her customer service The reason I'm giving 2 stars: I made an appointment in advance. I was asked to pay a deposit for the appointment and I did. I drive here from cities away because I wanted to get my hair done here. And they don't keep my appointment. So I'm not sure what the point of paying a deposit is if they themselves don't keep the appointment. They asked me to either come back later or reschedule another day. Neither option was available to me because of my busy schedule. This occurred because they messed up and decided to prioritize the customer they were already working on. All I needed was a haircut, but they were helping another customer instead because her hair was so damaged. I understand that they tried to fix this by offering me a discount on my rescheduled service that I couldn't even book because, again, my busy schedule. The most that they could do was offer me 20% off of a eufora product I was buying. Thanks, but this doesn't make up for my time wasted driving and waiting the 37 min before they told me they couldn't cut my hair. My end warning: Be careful. I was able to get a same day appointment for my daughter. My daughter is only 3 and this was her first ever haircut. They did an amazing job with her and with her hair. She has very curly hair and I have been struggling to find the perfect shampoo/conditioner and leave in products to keep her hair hydrated and looking fresh. I was unable to get in with Mayra but she asked the owner Michelle if she could take me in on short notice & she did. So amazing. I went in to get my hair dyed gray. Michelle recommend the best solution to my situation without having to damage my hair. She dyed only the front (that's where all my grays are) and it came out beautiful. This place is honestly so wonderful. The vibes in the salon are just great. It feels like being in a room full of friends. Everyone I talked to was so nice! It's very clean and organized. Charlene is absolutely incredible. She explained everything she was doing with my hair and made me feel so comfortable. Absolutely recommend this salon! I called and Michelle had picked up the phone. I told her I wanted to come in for a haircut. Most places would just give me a time slot and that's it but Michelle wanted to know more about my hair, length, texture etc while on the phone. I got lucky and was able to come in to see Diana for my appt. the receptionist(I didn't get her name) was amazing as well. She gave me a tour of the salon and introduced my to all the stylist, that was so sweet. It made me feel really welcomed. I sat down with Diana and she really took the time to see what I wanted. She gave me some great recommendations for my hair. I have curly hair but I often straighten it so she recommend a few things and a haircut that would look good both ways. I didn't want people to know how awesome this place is and make it difficult for me to get an appointment. I've been coming here since 2006. I was a grad student at UCR and this place was convenient. Even though I moved, I still come here and won't go anywhere else. Michelle hires the best people! Everyone who has done my hair is excellent. They're kind, professional, they take pride in their work and make sure you're happy. They're knowledgeable and they've always taken their time in explaining things to me and giving suggestions. I feel comfortable here. When I first started coming Christina did my hair, but then she left due to a disability. Then Donna did my hair. She was excellent and I was sad to see her leave ( she decided to be a stay at home mom). While Donna was on maternity leave, I saw Amber twice and she's great. I currently see Lili. I love Lili's creativity and she is very knowledgeable when it comes to color. It is my dream to have my hair completely purple/blue, but sadly it would be frowned upon at my work. Lili has left a few purple strands and has worked her magic to where I can have some of the purple I love but I can still hide it when I have to be "more professional" I've also sat in Yessie's chair twice where Lili was unavailable and Yessie is also great.
