I can't say enough about my experience here! I bought a Groupon that included a haircut, single process color, conditioning treatment and a blowout. By their mistake, they did my services backwards. They washed me prior to adding color. So I got a wash, then a cut and color added...and then a wash and conditioning treatment and blowout. It was all okay! We all laughed about it and my hair was still completely taken care of as promised. I left the salon feeling so good. My hair needed a lot of love, and love it was given. I don't remember who did my hair, but she was wonderful. Everyone that worked my hair was amazing. I will absolutely return for touch-ups on my hair. Had appt today and was held up at Dr. appt. Tried calling several times and the machine picked up and said they were with customers. Finally at 11:10 am someone picked up the call and I explained. The woman told me they could only do half of the paid for service. I drove to the salon and the woman rebooked me. I was very pleased with this. At 12:50 someone else called me and said that unless I went today I would not be receiving the service I paid $90.00 for. I suggest that you not go there as they are disreputable. Now I have a Groupon for that $90.00 If they had answered their phone I might have been able to arrange for someone to take care of my Autistic child later in the day. I now have a Groupon for that $90.00 to a salon I wouldn't send my dog to. RIP OFF!! read more

They look so subtle and beautiful, just as she wanted. My other daughter and I received haircuts by Jackie. The cuts and blowout was perfect. WORST SERVCE EVER! This place is unprofessional, and has no idea what they're doing. Do not go to this place. Firstly the colorist there don't know what they're doing. You tell them a color and none of them are able to provide the color you asked for as I've been here a few times out of convenience. The owner is completely disrespectful and rude. On one occasion, I bought a Groupon for a cut and highlight. Nothing on Groupon stated that you couldn't use the coupon over the weekend after I was done being styled I went to go pay and the owner happens to be there. I tried to give her my Groupon, but she said they don't except over the weekend and it was nothing she could do about it. I pleaded with her as Groupon would not refund me and it was $70 out of my pocket. She was extremely rude and argumentative. She then promised me that I could use it in the future on a weekday long story short, I tried making an appointment two months later and happen to get the owner on the phone. She asked me if I was using any coupons and explain the situation. She was extremely rude spoke over me and said that she changed her mind that she's not taking it anymore. Goes to show that this owner doesn't care about professionalism and clearly can't afford to honor her promise of $70. Pathetic. read more

I don't remember the name of my hair dresser but she was great. I have long hair and she didn't cut off too much and I got a glaze to blend in my grown out highlights and it is so beautiful. I didn't have to wait at all I was seen right away though it was busy so I would recommend an appointment. Everyone's here was really nice. I had originally called and made an appointment but as soon as I hung up I forgot that I had something planned so I called back to reschedule and they were so nice about it. read more

I go to Serena! She is so sweet and awesome! She lets you know what is realistic to do to your hair whether it is damaged or not. She is quick and professional. The vibe is clean and decorated beautifully. All the stylists are nice and welcoming. I usually get a full set of highlights with a glaze and I am in there for two hours, at my last salon I'd be there almost all day! I highly recommend this place! I've been letting Kim cut my hair for three years now. Recently I had highlights put in to help lighten my hair and cover some grey. I've never been disappointed. I usually bring in a couple of pictures of cuts I like. She is always patient and helps me decide on a cut before she starts. I don't normally write reviews but during these crazy Covid times I must do a shout out. I miss Bellissimo so much I've been coming here since it opened and I've never been unhappy. From the minute you walk in you're always welcomed with a smile from the owner Claudine. No matter how bad you were feeling going there she makes you feel like a million dollars. You won't be disappointed if you're lucky enough to receive a shampoo from Yuduth. She does such an amazing job massaging your scalp that You'll never want to leave the chair. Last but certainly not lest there is Lisa and Jackie. They are by far the best haircutters ever. They do mine and my daughters hair. They simply are family to us. We always laugh and they give me hair advice even when I didn't think I needed it. Lol. All 3 of my children had their first haircuts by Lisa and whenever I took them to her, they would fight over who got to go first. Whoever heard of kids fighting over getting their haircut first? When things get back to normal I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

My husband got his 2 daughters, Me and my daughter a $100 dollar gift certificate just this past CHRISTMAS we all went on SATURDAY Dec 27th they charged my step daughter $75 dollars fir her nails she told them she wanted French manicure set they never used the white tip and pink powder they used polish her nails now only 3 days later are a mess. My daughter got a pedicure which cost 50 they didn't even have a pedicure menu it was one pedicure for 50 and that was it her toes are already chipped I would NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN !! My husband thought he was doing a nice thing and it was he just picked the WORST salon way 2 expensive for very very very poor work I wouldn't have even given them 1 star but you have to in order to write a review it was way 2 expensive my step daughters nails look like CRAP AND THEY WERE 75.00 I would NEVER suggest this place to anyone !!!!! The woman who runs this salon is rude. I went in to get my eyebrows threaded because the price was really great ($7.00). Apparently, she had just painted her nails and was very annoyed that I wanted my eyebrows done. She actually said "you need them done right now?" well, yes, since I am here now would be good. She did them, but not well. She did not trim my eyebrows at all and did not clean up with tweezers. Needless to say, I had to go home and fix them myself. Later the same day, my mom went in for a blow out. The woman told my mom her hair was green (it is a beautiful dirty blonde) and that she can fix it. My mom asked for some loose waves in the blow out and ended up with shirley temple curls. I wish I could give zero stars, because this place is a waste of time. read more

Extremely pleasant experience, couldn't have been better. Everyone that works there is extremely nice and accommodating. My stylist was Justina. What an ARTIST. I found the salon on Groupon and purchased full highlights, deep conditioning, cut, and blowout all for $89 (full cost would have been somewhere around $200)!! I was a new customer with little knowledge of what to expect. In fact, I'm not the kind of girl that tends to take risks with my hair. I never color it and tend to only get my hair trimmed about two times a year. I went in with some pictures of what I wanted and requested a consultation before getting started. Justina was very knowledgable and compassionate. She helped me feel as if I could trust her expertise. I felt as if I could allow her to "have at it." I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She has a lot of experience and is very pleasant to talk to. I tend to not have a lot in common with hair dressers and have trouble relating to them and them to me but she had me feeling at ease immediately. I ended up leaving happy but eventually became a bit disappointed with the "chunky highlight" look. I have light brown hair and asked for very blonde highlights - like, bleach blonde I guess is what you would call it. I requested a lot of blonde, like the entire top layer of my hair. So that's what she did and I had very chunky blonde highlights in the front that looked stripes. She did a great job with that look but after living with it for a day I decided that it just wasn't for me. I called the salon the next day and told them exactly that. I told them that while she did a lovely job that the chunky, stripy, look just wasn't for me - even though that's what I asked for. They where so apologetic, even though it was truly what I asked for - as a gal who never gets her hair done so has no clue know what she's doing. They got me in the next day to fix it and scheduled me with Justina again. Now, I thought that going back to the same gal and essentially having her under the impression that I didn't like what she did to my hair would be extremely awkward, but I couldn't have been more wrong. She totally understood and it was not the least bit awkward. All I did was apologize and tell her that it was my fault not hers and that while she did a wonderful job that it wasn't for me and that all I needed her to do was to blend the highlights a bit more. She then blended it perfectly and they didn't even charge me to fix it!! She even gave me another blowout, free of charge!! She is a master "blow-outer." She even gave me a coupon for $5 off my next visit! The salon is comfortable, the location is easy to find with plenty of parking, and it's beautifully decorated. They still have Groupons available for that great price (they even have the same package but with partial highlights at a lower price) and you should totally ask for Justina. She has a lot of experience and is truly an artist. What a great experience, especially for someone like me who doesn't really enjoy that sort of thing. Also I live in the village of Sayville and I'm SURROUNDED by hair salons. I didn't just go to Bellissimo because of the groupon but went because I've tried nearly all of the salons in Sayville that are literally in walking distance from me and they are NOTHING compared to this salon. I took my 9 yr old daughter to just get her tips dyed light pink and was told it would cost $125 and last all summer. I only wanted it to last a month but sounded good. That night it came out. I called and they agreed to add more 2 days later and was told do not wash or go in the pool for 3 days. She went in the pool 3 days later and it all washed out. I called to get a refund, even half or a credit for a trim and was told I couldn't, only thing they could do was bleach the tips. I didn't want that, as when I first when I asked if she needed then tips bleached and they said no, and I wouldn't of done it. Also was told that she is young and it might not last..this is after the fact, I would not of paid that much money as a single mom for it to last 3 days. They did not acccomodate me in any way and I found that very unprofessional. Would not recommend this place. read more

I took my daughter here to get a balayage done. She had a picture to show the hairdresser, Kim what color blonde she wanted. As Kim was doing my daughter's hair I could tell the color was off. I believe even Kim knew she did not put in the correct color because she then put a toner in my daughter's hair to try to correct it. Once it was blown out it looked nothing like the picture that was shown. In addition at the top where the coloring started it was grossly uneven and choppy. The hair dresser knew but wouldn't admit she messed up because she suggested we come back for a "touch up blending" towards the roots. Does she honestly think I am that stupid? The next day my daughter's hair looked brassy yellow and orange. It was horrible. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed by a certified colorist who even commented that the job done on my daughter's hair looked like a beginner did it. So I had to pay again to have it all redone even though Bellissimo charged me $240 for the mess they made. I would say to anyone looking to get there hair colored or any related procedure to stay as far away from this place as they do not have people on staff that are certified and knowledgeable in doing these costly procedures. All the chandeliers and throw pillows in the décor does not make a reputable and well trained salon. read more

I have not yet visited this salon. I purchased a Groupon for a "Spa Day" package that includes nails, massage, and facial. However when I called for an appointment, I realized it's not a "spa day" as advertised. I had to make different appointments for the nails and facial. I also was given a separate phone number for a masseuse as they do not book his appointments. The package is misleading and the person on the phone sounded very indifferent. My boyfirend had bought me a gift certificate for this Salon and I am thrilled that he did! Donna was my stylist and she is wonderful! I thought I was happy at other salons but nothing compares to Bellissimo. Donna took her time with me and we decided on some hgihlights with a new fantastic hair cut. When she was done I was speechless (does not happen too often with me lol). I loved the cut and when your boyfriend actually remarks on how great you look, you want to stick with it.
