I am writing to share my experience with No. 1 Automotive during the repair of my VW ID 4 after an…read moreaccident in October 2023. Although I initially chose this location because I believed they cared about their customers and the quality of service, I was deeply disappointed by the level of communication and organization. During the initial estimate process, there was a significant gap between No. 1 Automotive's estimate and that of Farmers Insurance. I had to become involved in ensuring that the two parties communicated with each other. Throughout the following months, I received no updates and had to constantly call, email, and leave messages to get any information. After five months, I stopped by to check on the status of the orders. I was informed that all parts had been delivered except for two, which were expected to arrive soon. However, after giving them another month, I decided to order the parts and work with a different vendor as No. 1 Automotive showed no interest in making progress. When I informed them that I was considering taking my car to another shop, they finally called me to book an appointment. However, when I called on the ninth day after leaving my car with them, the repair advisor did not know the car was there or that the parts had arrived. My car sat untouched for ten days while I paid for a rental. On the fifteenth day, they informed me that they needed additional parts, but did not know when they would arrive. I called VW and arranged for the parts to be delivered the next day. After four weeks, they finally finished a job that should have taken no more than a week or ten days. Furthermore, there was a discrepancy between their estimate and Farmers Insurance's! And I ended up paying $600 out of pocket for the rental car which they directly caused by not touching the car for 10 days!!!! Throughout this entire process, no one followed up with me or offered any apologies for the poor customer service. Except the general manager on site on May 18th! I strongly advise others to avoid this location to save time and money.

When I finally received the primary estimate it wasn't based on repairs, it was as if they just guessed at what was going to need to be done, listing things that weren't damaged, like they didn't really look at it. To make matters worse I see that my vehicle has not moved since it was towed in, even with authorization being given. If my insurance will accept a different shop I plan on taking it elsewhere for the repairs. After all the time that has gone by, lack of communication, and worst of all not knowing how well the work will be done, I CANNOT and WILL NOT recommend them. * my insurance company totaled my vehicle. Not only did it have the original right front damage they believed water got into the engine from sitting for over 3 MONTHS. Not only did it sit there it sat without a tarp with a known leak thru rain and snow storms. The interior is now ruined from mold and standing water in the floor boards .
