I truly only wanted a dusting of my split ends and layer upkeep, explicitly stating I needed to keep my length for my upcoming wedding. Amber agreed and said she was taking off an inch at most. Instead, 4+ inches came off. Even worse, the layers were not blended properly, leaving my wavy hair feeling completely disconnected and heavy. I reached out privately first because I deeply respect small businesses. While her response was polite, it felt pretty dismissive, suggesting I just wasn't used to a "big change" and that I should have reached out sooner. Her only solution was to have me book and pay for a future bang appointment so she could look at it, but that just sounds like losing even more length, which was my hesitation to begin with. I think I was in denial of how much I hair I'd lost. No real accountability or compensation was offered. Now I have to spend months trying to grow it out and am even looking into expensive extensions. This is a nice salon, but I'd be extra careful if you have wavy texture and specific length goals. I went to her for the first time in Dec. 2020 and was very satisfied with her work, she is a very friendly person. I returned to my normal esthetician due to the smell in the salon from the nail products.   Fast forward to July 2021, it has been 4 weeks since I had my eyebrows shaped and my esthetician was fully booked, thankfully Sofi had one opening for Friday, the July 4th holiday weekend. Good news is she is out of Jazzy Nails and has her own space in Tucker....it is super cute!   Details -soFACE brow studio is located in Tucker and is appointment only, you schedule everything online through acuity scheduling; it provides a description of each service and the price. Sofi is the owner, she is a licensed esthetician and brow specialist; this business is women and black owned. Check out her IG account for link to scheduling and pics of her work (@soface_bysofi).   Customer service - Sofi is very friendly, professional, and has very positive energy.   Service - Both visits I've had my brows shaped and tinted ($30), this included precise brow shaping, threading, and a professional brow tint that lasts up to 2 weeks.  I use to frequent random threading shops and only pay $13 but I was often not pleased with the work, my eyebrow were ruined, or the shape was different. It really makes a difference going to a brow specialist, you truly get what you pay for and I have no problem paying $30 every 3 - 4 weeks for a tint and shape.

Okay, so I usually shave my hair around the back and sides and I usually have the top braided in some type of individual braids, but I've been letting my sides and back girl out since New Year's and it's not long enough to braid for a sew in. So I decided to go with my first quick weave and I had been asking around, but it seemed like a lot of stylists don't want to bother with my hair because it's very short and natural. I spoke with Miss TJ after I spoke with a couple of other stylists and I immediately knew I was going to like her. She was professional and very informative She also had a lot of patience with me when I told her this would be my very first quick weave. She fully explain to me the process of the quick weave and also requested that I send her pictures of what style I was looking to achieve. Then we set an appointment for 2p today and she was there on time and waiting for me. She also went so far as to explain each step to me as she was doing it and my style came out great. There were only two things I did not like about the salon: 1. The name of the salon is called Glamour Styles and it's on the second floor of Tantrums (a preschool toddler care or something like that). 2. The stairs are kind of scary... would be very easy to fall down. Once you get past all of that, the salon is very beautiful on the inside mostly wooden has lots of shampoo chairs and dryer chairs and also each hairstylist is in a different suite. So you don't have to sit in the middle of the open floor while everyone watches you get your hair done. Bottom line: I would recommend this salon to a friend and I will be going back to get my hair done again.
