I thought I found a great salon that I could come to for everything but after this visit I was so disappointed :-( I booked an appt with Viola for a color, when some other person applied the dye it was only at the top of my hair, I asked if they were going to put hair dye on all of my hair because I needed the dye really on my ends because they get lighter and I wanted my hair to be even and all one color, dark brown, but they said it would be an additional charge. I have never in my entire life been to a salon and they only dye half your hair. When the girl was washing my hair she asked me if I wanted my hair blow dried for an extra charge, again I have never been to a salon and they don't dry your hair after a service. I was already irritated from not getting a complete hair color so I said no and left this salon with dripping wet hair and got charged $85 for and in even hair dye my ends are still lighter than the top of my hair and I booked my appt with Viola and someone else ended up doing it. Extremely disappointing experience and will definitely not be returning

Honestly no one bleached/colored/processed one single hair in my head but Viola in the past 4 years and I love her for it. She got my black hair to beautiful blonde. She was so gentle and handled my hair with care, she does my hair the same way I would do my own hair. Unlike a lot of Dominican hair salons she doesn't use excessive amount of heat. After finally having the courage to trust another hairstylist years after this incident, I started…read moreto reflect on what made me so apprehensive to give it another shot. They also agreed that what I experienced was unacceptable and informed me of other ways I could have had my voice heard. You never truly forget how someone made you feel and I feel led to leave a review here so that future clients are a least aware of how this stylist may handle mistakes. First, I wanna say that this stylist does create a comfortable environment for her clients. At my appointment, she had good music playing and was easy to talk to. She had her natural hair out, which made me feel like I was in good hands especially considering it had been years since my last press. As she was preparing to flat iron my hair, the usual flat iron she used died and she had to pull out a different one. If I remember correctly, she would typically use a black ceramic one and the day of my appointment, she used a titanium (silver babybliss) one. From what I know now, titanium irons heat faster and typically need to be handled with more care than ceramic irons. This is where everything went downhill but I didn't know it yet lol...I enjoyed my deep condition and she trimmed my hair very well. My silk press came out nicely and I thought everything was alright. An hour or so after my appointment, my scalp started to feel sore and gradually got worse as the days dragged on...Initially, I'm thinking that my scalp is sore because I haven't had my hair pressed in years and of course heat on your scalp has never been the most comfortable thing. So I put heatless curls in my head and let it be. However, a few days later I noticed that there were dark marks scattered throughout my scalp which I realized were burn marks. They were on the smaller side but it definitely hurt. It's almost worse that they were small and in several different places rather than just in one centralized location. I took pictures of the ones I could easily see and texted her via the number styleseat provided. She did not answer for a few days and I then reached out via instagram where I was able to get a response. She apologized for her delayed response and then mentioned that me reaching out days later was unfortunate, but did offer a scalp treatment on my next visit and recommended tea tree oil for my scalp. Even though I thought it was thoughtful, ultimately I let her know coming back so soon would give me anxiety. To me, it was an uncomfortable power dynamic because god forbid something else went wrong. So instead, I asked for a partial refund of $39 which was half of the $78 silk press--not including the add on services. Which I felt like was more than fair considering my scalp was burnt. She then told me she does not offer refunds for completed services and did not apologize for the damage done. I understand this policy in certain situations, however when there is actual damage (which took a while to heal btw) caused to someone, I feel like exceptions should be made. I did at least try to partially dispute it with my bank through an automated system, but failed to actually speak to someone, which obviously did not lead anywhere. Lol but you win some and you lose some. What I feel like was the most disappointing part of this experience was that not too long after our conversation, I tried to leave a review on style seat and I discovered I was blocked from booking and leaving a review. Being blocked from booking was fine because I was too traumatized to go back anyways, but now I can't even leave a review? #wereyousilentorwereyousilenced Lol I was honest, fair, and respectful anytime I communicated with her so to proactively block me from sharing my experience was extremely disheartening and unprofessional. It really is less about the money and more about how I was treated afterwards. I feel like some stylists hold their clients to standards that they don't even follow themselves. Because how was me bringing this to her attention 4 days later (the approximate time it took for my scabs to form) an issue, but she also responded to me 4 days later as well? Mind you, I had to reach out through two different communication channels to get a response...Why aren't clients given the same grace? I don't expect much to come from this especially since it was so long ago. Although, I do hope that this helps someone in the future in case this behavior is a pattern. Anyways, this is just a warning to customers that regardless of the high ratings you may see, some stylists may be suppressing reviews so just be careful!

Hair creations is a fine salon. I've had consistent cuts once per month that give me the same look…read moreeach time. The owner, Nancy, always does a good job. It's best to call ahead, as with any salon. However, on each occasion that I've needed a cut, she's been able to squeeze me in without an appointment. I always call ahead to be sure I don't drive over and find myself sitting there for forever because of my poor planning. This time, I called ahead, but I got no answer. Somewhat hilariously, once I got there and she asked me to wait a moment, she called my phone - I didn't realize it was her calling me back, since I don't have the number saved in my phone - and I didn't answer since I was about to get my haircut. So, in the span of about 10 minutes, I called 4 times, sat down in a waiting chair, was called to a salon chair, and got a call back with her letting me know that she missed my call and if I needed anything to just call her back. Phone tag! Anyway, Nancy has been doing hair for years and years and moved here a few years ago to pursue the same, but in her own salon. She's a very sweet lady and she enjoys having a conversation with whomever she is working. However, her accent is extremely thick, so you might have to have her repeat a lot in order to understand what she's saying. The price for my haircut is always $14.00 and I always tip $6.00 to make it an even $20. I've been to places that are a few dollars cheaper, but I also got a new stylist each time I visited, so the results varied. I saw here, that someone else got a dye-job done poorly. I'm sure she would have done what they asked for had she had a picture. My guess is that the individual didn't show her a picture, opting to describe the look instead, and said something like blue highlights or blue streaks. The picture offered here in reference to what she "asked for" is clearly nothing remotely the same, so it's unlikely that the description given was appropriate. Regardless, had the person been up front with her about the result being completely wrong, then shown her a picture, and finally, given her more time- I'm sure the situation would've been remedied. Nancy's good, but she can't read minds and she's got a bit of a language barrier. Make up for that by being as explicit as possible- and ALWAYS bring pictures.

I purchased this hair on 3/20/2018, and this week 4/16/2018 I will be removing the hair that I purchased for $246.10. Upon purchase I noticed that the bundles were significantly thinner than normal, and 3 bundles were not enough to cover my head. This hair was great for a few days, then it started tangling and I have split ends as if I have had this hair for over a year. My boyfriend even asked what was going on with my hair, he said it looked horrible and cheap! When I spoke to the owner, he questioned me as if I am not sure if I add products to my hair. NO I DON"T. He tried to give me suggestions for products to put in the hair. There should be no need to add products to new weave!
