I asked if they had a certain kind of glasses and she abruptly told me that they did not carry the brand. I then asked if they could order the glasses for me and she said she would "rather not do that". Finally, I asked if they were running any sales and she simply said no, and that there would not be any sales. This sales associate seemed more like she wanted me to leave than purchase a pair of glasses. Simply put, this store seems to have poor customer service and I would suggest finding another place to shop for eyeglasses.

I came for an annual checkup and paid my vision copay. The doctor gave me medicine that I had an allergic reaction to. He said to stop back in to check on the reaction, which I did (about 15 minute visit). And Pearl Vision then turned around and billed my medical insurance which they are billing me a whole separate deductible for. I asked them to reconsider the charges and they refused. Dr Herbolsheimer is a wonderful eye doctor. I have been with him for years. However, Pearl Vision has lost our trust and future business.

On both days a nurse was rude, condescending and insulting. On the second day I asked for a different nurse because she was so rude the day before.Two receptionists said I was given conflicting information. One receptionists TOLD the offensive nurse that I was given wrong information. I was verbally insulted by this nurse. Mocked by the same nurse. I spoke up & defended myself. I received a letter, unsigned, that I was dismissed as a patient. I asked twice to speak to the office manger, she refused to speak to me. It's poor office communication, poor office management & homophobia. The nurse was rude to me because of homophobia. I felt like I was in the movie Deer Hunter, when the Vietcong soldier kept slapping Jon Voight.

When Dr. Maw came into the exam room - just as I was preparing to leave - I politely and professionally asked why I was made to wait such an excessive time. His "holier-than-thou" attitude popped right out; he immediately told me he would not be doing my surgery-that we couldn't have a successful Dr/patient relationship when I felt the way I did. He then told me I would struggle to get into another practice in less than several weeks and "good luck getting your surgery done sooner than a few months." I left the office, went back to work, called Nebraska Medicine and got into a surgeon within the week. Never, ever would I recommend this physician and his "I went to Harvard" attitude!

She ended up going in for three attempts and a different frame and lense selection before she was able to see properly and have no pain from the glasses. Rather than try to find a way for me to get seen before close, she was more concerned with shutting down her computer and getting out of the office. I had spoken with her earlier and she had said that in order to be seen I would have to have a referral. When I showed up with a referral, she couldn't figure out what to do with it.
