I had been in a car accident and having lots of visual issues and was having a ton of vestibular and convergence problems. Because I didn't hit my head in my accident, I figured I was okay, but I wasn't. Dr Rodriguez figured out that I had post concussion syndrome, and helped me find a Vision therapist to help me heal and regain normal eyesight. Since then, he asks me every visit how I am. He has my best interest in mind, and always makes sure that my sight is perfect when I leave. He is extremely friendly and is so personable, which makes my visits enjoyable. I've had some visual changes with aura due to my migraines, but he has squeezed me in to make sure everything is okay. I have diabetes, and every year he carefully examines my eye health, and I get peace of mind knowing my pressure is in a great range! His staff always greet you by name and never push you to buy anything. They are very helpful and compassionate, and their recommendation for a blue light filter coating (prevencia) for my glasses has helped my neurological pain a lot! I've always been a contact lens girl, but because they offered me this lens option last year, I wear my glasses a lot more often because they are so comfortable! They even allow you to bring in your own frames purchased outside of their practice to get lenses put in. I love that I have that option. I highly recommend Optometric Care. It's a comfortable and intimate setting where you are treated much better than the larger chain stores. Dr. Rodriguez truly cares about his patients and will take fantastic care of you!

It was almost as if the doctor was giving a house call, because the office is literally in a house! Since Dr. Bruno had left, the office has made some changes for the better. They even replaced the century old door! This is a great place if you need to see an optometrist or a ophthalmologist. I highly recommend their services. They'll always make you feel comfortable, and welcome.

Before the surgery the vision in my left eye was near perfect. After the surgery I became nearsighted. Objects became very blurry within 15 feet. Also, a blood vessel was broken in my left eye. Upon office visits after the surgery I was lied to by Dr. Karlik that my vision was bad beforehand. A total falsehood. I now have to wear corrective eyewear because of his botched surgery. I was also advised by an employee of the Pgh. V.A. that a relative visited Karliks office for an eye checkup and was told that they had cataracts. After seeking a second opinion it was determined that their diagnosis was faulty. The patient did not have cataracts. Please beware of North Hills Eye Associates Karlik Ophthalmology.
