BUYERSBEWAREBUYERSBEWAREBUYERSBEWARE!!!…read more Go ahead and drive a lil bit further (10ish mins) to K & K Tires instead! K & K Tires is located at 823 Fairview Ave, Linthicum Heights, MD. ---- Last night (6/15) my front left (driver's side) tire had a hole in it and I had to pull over to a 7/11 in Glen Burnie to get air. The air wouldn't keep. I checked my other tires and noticed I had a bubble and gash in my front right tire as well. I couldn't drive home. It was late. I called multiple tire shops that were open, they couldn't help. I was able to speak to a Mobile Tire Service who said he could swap out the tires for me first thing in the morning so I had to lyft home and leave the car overnight. The next morning (6/16 == today), my mobile service tech picked up [what was supposed to be] two 235 tires from Gillies. We wanted to put a slightly wider tire on for both of the fronts (recommended is 225). I met the tech at 7/11 he put the two tires on and I asked him where he got them from because my back tires were closed to being bald as well. He said Gillie's. So I got the address and immediately went to Gillie's. I noticed my car was making a noise and wasn't driving like normal but I'm think it's just the new width of [what was supposed to be] the two 235 front tires. I pulled up to Gillie's trying to get back tires to replace the back tires. The service guy/worker (who actually sold the tires to my mobile guy) told me he didn't have them (the back tires) in stock and also that my car was staggering down the road/limping. Still unbeknownst to me that we (I and/ the mobile tire service guy) were sold two different sized front tires from Gillies, I went to three other tire places who didn't have the size of the back tires. I ended up finding K & K Tires this morning (thank god) trying to get the back tires replaced (which they had in stock), however, when I got there their mechanics were telling me that they couldn't change the backs cause the fronts were not even the same size. I ended up having them change the front two tires to the SAME/matching size. I was already seriously late for work so I had to go to work but I contacted the mobile tire repair guy to contact Gillie's while I was at work because I couldn't have my phone. He contacted them and told me to go back after work so they can fix everything. After work (within the last hour), I drove to Gillie's and was immediately met by the serviceman who told me earlier that my car was staggering, and he told me that he already knows what I'm here for (he got the call) and that he was going to get the manager, "Gillie". Gillie, instead of coming outside to speak to me directly, kept relaying messages to his employee and also my mobile tire repair guy (who I was on the phone with trying to get this resolved). Back and forth back and forth. I was waiting outside for 30 mins before I told my mobile service guy to call Gillie and tell him to come outside to speak to me because Gillie didn't want to fix the issue that they caused. My whole transmission could've went bad as the tires were different sizes and I have an all-wheel drive sports sedan. Gillie finally came outside trying to belittle me telling me "I don't know cars", "he was on the phone w/ the mobile tire repair guy when he was changing my tires" and a bunch of other lies. Definitely lying about being on the phone w/ the mobile service guy because I was right next to him as he was putting on the tires. At this point, it's a scene, there's other patrons there witnessing everything. Gillie wanted to just give me two 235 tires (which was supposed to had be the case in the first place), which wouldn't have fixed the situation as K & K Tires properly put two matching front tires on so I wouldn't ruin my transmission as I have to drive a lot of miles across the DMV. Gillie told me "it's on me if I want to make a bad review". Gillie would rather risk the reputation of his business than to make things right by his customer. PLEASE GO TO K & K Tires not too far from here if you value your vehicle and safety!!!!!!!!!!!!! The location (for my account) says SanFran (account defaulted to that) but this is for the "business" located at 4904 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225 (it may say Brooklyn, MD in some places/websites online).

Also unmistakable as there are cars and tires everywhere, making it look one step up from your uncle's backyard. There is a sign directing you to service in the back, so if you're a first timer you'll automatically follow that in only to get waved back and told to get in line behind the regulars who know how their operation works. Then you will notice the cars parked at the stop sign across the way. That was a little annoying as with all the cars everywhere there was no real way to tell the customers apart from the workers or even the neighbors. However, from the time I arrived to the time I spent in line to getting worked on and paying and leaving was exactly one half hour. My tire had a nail in it and I figured I would be spending my entire Saturday waiting for it to get fixed. They have an impressive and efficient operation, and they had that tire off, examined, and patched - not plugged - practically faster than it takes me to pump my gas. I was also impressed at the ridiculously reasonable price they charged me for that service. Now that I know where they are, what they do, and how well they do it, I'm going to be happy to line up as one of their regulars.

The staff @ K&K took good care of me & they are easy to deal with not to mention reasonable.read more

Grease Monkey on Ritchie Highway is unlike any automotive repair shop I have encountered in the…read moreBaltimore-Glen Burnie area. What separates this location from the typical garage is their combination of speed, mechanical capability, immediate service, and determination to finish the job correctly. I brought my vehicle in for substantial rear-brake work involving new brake drums, wheel bearings, brake components, hardware, and the related parts needed to properly complete the repair. Instead of telling me to leave the vehicle for several days before a technician could even begin, they started working on it immediately. That is the remarkable part of their business model. They provide the urgency people expect from a quick-service operation, but they are capable of performing serious and complex mechanical repairs. When additional parts were needed, they were able to obtain them from nearby suppliers extremely quickly. In one instance, the replacement drums arrived in roughly 15 minutes, and the technicians continued the repair without unnecessary delay. I also observed other customers arriving with automotive problems and saw the same sense of urgency: diagnose the problem, obtain what is needed, and get to work. There was no attitude of, "Leave it here and maybe we will get to it in a few days." The young leadership and technicians work with tremendous tenacity. If a repair requires another component, another adjustment, or another step, they keep moving forward until the vehicle is properly repaired. I did not have to stand over anyone or repeatedly ask whether the related components were being addressed. They handled the repair comprehensively. Many dealerships and traditional repair shops can keep a vehicle for several days simply because it is waiting in line before anyone begins working on it. Grease Monkey has created something different: bring the vehicle in, get the repair started, obtain the necessary parts quickly, complete the mechanical work, and get the customer back on the road. Their building says, "Done Fast. Done Right." After experiencing their service firsthand, I can say that is more than advertising. It describes how this location operates. For drivers, families, commuters, and businesses with fleet vehicles throughout the Baltimore and Glen Burnie area, this is a shop worth knowing about. Five stars. Grease Monkey is not simply another repair garage. They are demonstrating what modern automotive service should look like.
