DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE!!! Love the staff along with the high quality clothing and name brands…read moresuch as Ralph Lauren, Neiman Marcus, Peter Millar, Patagonia, and Lululemon...and muchhhhh moreee. I just bought three pieces of clothing that retail for 200.00+ for LESS THAN 40 DOLLARS. Definitely worth the hour drive from where I live. Thank you guys!!

This is where you should go in central Texas if you need a suit…read more Michael, the owner, was working the counter when I stopped by. Second Looks is clearly his baby: he's not just an attentive consultant, responding to your preferences on house, material, and tailoring (thankfully, he is not hesitant to offer his excellent suggestions on fit and styling), he's also a gentleman and a scholar, eager to share his considerable knowledge about the history of menswear, soul music, and rodeo, having been a cowboy himself before working in radio and taking over Second Looks. Michael's selection is fantastic. he showed me suits and separates from Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, Drake's, Canali, and local Austin bespoke tailors Capra and Cavelli. He's got Allen Edmonds shoes and a great collection of belts, which seem to go very quickly. I didn't peruse his selection of casualwear, but it seemed just as well-curated and complete as his formal sections. I walked out with a Golden Fleece jacket and alligator belt having spent about $115--he gave me the educator discount. I couldn't have asked for better value. Having lived in Boston, Cleveland, Charleston, SC, Eugene, OR, Granada, Spain, and Norwich, England, I've never been so impressed by a menswear shop, let alone a secondhand store, or by its owner. TL;DR: Go see Michael. He's got the goods.

I absolutely would not return here to sell or consign anything…read more I dropped my clothes off around noon and was told there would be about a 2.5-hour wait. The girl who initially helped me was brand new and very nice, and I completely understand that new employees are still learning, so I had no issue with her. I accidentally entered one digit of my phone number incorrectly, so about two hours after dropping everything off, I called the store myself. I was told my items had been processed about nine minutes earlier. At no point during that phone call did anyone discuss what they wanted to purchase, what they were offering, or ask me to approve anything. When I arrived, they were still going through the items, and I noticed one of my pieces had been listed as a medium T-shirt--which immediately stood out because I don't even wear a medium. I was then told the item had already been tagged to be sold. That was extremely concerning considering I had never reviewed or approved what they were taking or what I was agreeing to sell. Riley was professional throughout the interaction, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the overall experience. Other associates seemed far too comfortable inserting their personal opinions rather than simply addressing a legitimate concern about the process. I've sold and consigned clothing before and have never experienced anything like this. If a business is purchasing someone's property for resale, there should be complete transparency about which items are being accepted, what the seller is being paid, and an opportunity for the seller to approve the transaction before their belongings are tagged for resale. The entire process left me feeling like the priority was getting merchandise onto the floor for the lowest possible cost rather than making sure the person selling it actually understood and agreed to the transaction. Then, when I questioned it, the responsibility seemed to be shifted back onto me. Completely unprofessional experience, and I would not trust this process with my belongings again.

I was so glad to see this spot was still here when I visited Austin again a few weeks ago!…read more I visited this fun store about 5+ years ago when visiting a friend who lives in Texas and I remembered on this trip that they have a table with a bunch of crystals on it. We were nearby having lunch and walked over and it's still there! Tons of beautiful crystals and I was able to get a Rose quartz and two smokey quartz towers - all really good quality for insanely good prices. They have some great vintage clothing inside and some cute accessories and fun items. Great location near to some other cool shops and finds and Hillside Pharmacy for fabulous bites. Super friendly staff who wrapped my gems up with love and care for the trip back to VA. A+

Charm School Vintage is one of my favorite stores in our neighborhood…read more They've carefully curated vintage pieces with western flair (clothing, jewelry, etc). In addition, you'll be able to find items from various eras as far back as the 30s through the 70s. I've seen some stuff there even older than the 30s. Everything is of exceptional quality and condition. Not only do they sell but they buy as well. If you've got vintage wear you'd like to get rid of, try them. They give cash or credit for things they'll buy from folks. As with most stores like this, you'll get more in store credit for your stuff. Fun fact: they've also got a location in Waco.

We were able to quickly find the sections we wanted to see and try without feeling overwhelmed. The baby section was especially impressive. We really appreciated being able to see and test different stroller displays in person. Since strollers can be a big investment, it was helpful to explore options hands-on before committing. Even without making a purchase, we walked away with a much clearer idea of what we'd want for our babies. The store truly has something for everyone--men, women, kids, and babies--all laid out thoughtfully. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience. Keep up the great work and thanks for keeping the space so clean and inviting. Cheers
