Well done Bellas! First time coming here and had to try their beef. Actually the best beef I've had in so long. Losing Harrison's Roast Beef down the street was tough but to find this place so close to home was an absolute treat. We were welcomed by a friendly greeting from Bella herself. Husband brought me for my first beef after a few days in Hampton. He's had beefs but never been to Bella's, said it was higher ranked. Wow. So good. I don't have a typical beef run down for you but the meat was warm and pink, cheese on the bottom, perfectly sauced with mayo and bread held up and has a nice toasted butter touch. When I read voted the best roast beef we had to try it and oh my goodness it was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. The meat melted in my mouth and the 3 way is the only way to go. Everyone was so friendly and helpful as we weren't sure what to order. The place was hoppin while we were there with no break in customers with a steady line for over an hour until the lunch rush was over. We didn't get there until 1 I can't even imagine how busy they were before then. The food came out quick and the same quality on every order. Huge portions on side dishes. Small place but they have some seating and some standing tables. Thankfully we're here until next week so we can go back again. The only minor "ding" would be that there were lots of small shreds of roast beef piled among the slices in the sandwich. I wasn't familiar with the size of the sandwiches. Ordered here multiple times drove half hour away and usually enjoy the beef. Last time we got it, it was bloody so this time we let them know and asked for it not to be bloody. Both sandwiches were so dry and under seasoned. One of them (both 3-way) had no sauce. Called and "Harry" had young cashier tell me that he said he can remake it but we live over a half hour away. All three were very tasty, but my favorite was the Steak Bomb. Next time I'd like to try the Meatball Parmesan! The fries were hot and crispy and the battered mushrooms were a ok. Recently hit Bella's up for some Jr. love got 1 -3way 1-sauce cheese 1-just cheese All were slightly on the small side- check out Facebook NorthShoreBeef page for what a Jr on the Northshore should look like- They were a little more grey than I have had here in the past, but buns griddled to perfection- perfect ratio of sauce to beef - and these were some of the most delicious flavor wise so add a little more beef which is the norm here anyway and you got 5! The staff here is so friendly from the time they greet you on the phone to the time you leave with your order. We called on our way to place a lunch order and they were spot on with the amount of time they quoted. I was greeted immediately upon entering even though there were a few people in line ahead of me, paid for my order efficiently and not only were our lunches (two fried haddock dinners with skin on fries and Cole slaw) accurate, they were piping hot, delish and plentiful. Especially love the Amazing Roast Beef which my grandchildren have been raving about since opening. Staff is very friendly and accurately handles phone / take out orders. The major missing element is the lack of a delivery option. I would gladly pay an added fee and tip to avoid the stress of navigating busy roads to and fro for pick up, especially during winter. I've been to Bella's 4 times now. I live quite far from the north shore but work in the area often. I've tried the majority of staples for the infamous beef. Bella's has been my favorite without question. This past week I decided to try an Italian sub to mix things up. Got a small with the works. Talk about phenomenal. I opted for untoasted as I don't think many places can match the greek style toasted grinders native to Cape Cod..and that is ok. Bella's killed it. The bread was second only to Marzillis bakery in Fall River and the quantity of meat and fixings was more than sufficient. I couldn't even finish the small. Great staff and service. Food is a bit overpriced. Over 22 clams for a sub and onion rings with a drink. They also are skimpy on the portions. I ordered a steak and cheese large sub. I noticed it was not filled very deeply and the ends of the bread had no meat in them. I ended up combining the meat from one end into the other so it would fill up. I would say get the small because it will be the same amount of meat as the large. It's a tad expensive for less. No thanks. I'm all set. These people are seriously lacking in the customer service department and were extremely rude when I called with an inquiry about a salad! They offered no resolutions to remedy the issue. The manager got on the phone & started the convo with"listen lady!" Who talks like that to a customer? They refused to refund my money when I said I was unhappy with the food & did not want it, then they hung up on me. Be aware that their overpriced spring mix or spinach upgrades for "salads" are just lettuce or spinach no veggies or anything else that constitutes a salad. read more
