    Small Chicken Parm Sub
    Sandy D.

Heard all the hype about Brando's so just had to check it out. We went on a weekday around lunch time. Small place with 6-8 tables to eat in. We took ours to go. While we were there a gentleman was eating ziti and sauce and was saying how good it was. We ordered a small Chicken Parmesan sub. I am not wild about Chicken Parm so thought I would have a couple bites to try out. I asked for extra sauce before we left and got a small container (something like ketchup would come in) at no charge. When we opened it at home it was a bit shriveled but expected that. The sandwich was fried chicken cutlets, sauce and cheese. We got a regular roll instead of the seeded. All in all, it was OK...a sub. We were not crazy over the taste of the coating. A small sub is about 12 inches and I have heard the large is 24 inches. Most subs are $15.99 to $18.99 for small size, and $21.99 to $27.99 for the large. Can't say how much meat is in the cold cut subs. The Veal Parm is $23.99 for a small and $28.99 for a large. Haven't tried the veal so not sure how tender it is. I haven't tried anything else as I have not been back since, but they do have pasta and other type subs. Not sure why they don't have a website...

    Chicken cutlet

My son spent over $100 on sandwiches today from Brando's. We heard so much about their chicken cutlet sandwiches, etc. we were anxious to try them. Sandwiches are very big which is always nice but without going into details, the cutlets were too chewy. Most of it went in the trash. Don't waste your money!

I was in the area and had heard so many good things about Brandi's that I just had to try it. The place is immaculate, you can tell the owner loves this place. The menu is small, which I think is great. Do a few things really well instead of a ton of things average. I ordered a small chicken parm sandwich on a seeded roll. It can out in a very reasonable amount of time. The small was huge and looked amazing. I wasn't overly impressed by the taste. The sauce was kind of blah and the cutlets didn't have a ton of flavor either. I need to go back and try some of the other dishes and maybe a plain cutlet to really taste it. Props to the owner who was sitting near the tables and talking to everyone in the restaurant. I will always support a restaurant with an owner like this.

Huge chicken cutlet based subs with a few Italians., pastas also, a few desserts. A fee tables to sit down. But most people were taking it to go. Price reflected the Huge sizes. Smalls $19, larges $23. Wait time was almost 45 minutes. We thought they lost our order but they didn't. They were busy but people who came in after us were leaving.

Thought of the Roma Restaurant that we heard was under new management and really good. My husband went in and asked if they were still open for dinner. They said yes that they closed at 9:00 and it was 8:45. I thought that was phenomenal because I can't tell you the number of restaurants say they're closing at a certain time and then when you go, they break the news that the kitchen closes a half an hour or an hour earlier. We went in and decided to eat at a high top in the bar because there was no one in the dining room because it was so late. I will say the dining room is very elegant. And...has cozy booths, which we love! Our server was Dodi who was very pleasant and accommodating. Ordered drinks. And just ordered our entrees right away knowing it was so late. My husband ordered Veal Parmesan and Ziti which was $30.00 and I ordered Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo which was $26.00. Very reasonable for the amount and quality you get. I always say, if you have to anything with an entree because you are not making the margins, go up on price...don't go down on quantity and quality. This place has done that. They brought out some crusty rolls that I believe were meant to be served warm, but weren't very warm, but considering the time, were good none the less. Our entrees came. I've got to tell you; my husband and I are the pickiest people you know. We will drive an hour to a restaurant. I don't like any restaurants in my close vicinity. My husband said this Veal Parmesan was the tenderest veal, a huge portion, and super delicious. As he was eating, he said we are definitely coming back here! The chicken in my Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was super tender! Usually, you get stringy chicken in these dishes which is cheap chicken. It came with fettuccine pasta which the next time I would change to ziti, for no reason except ziti is easier to eat. The alfredo sauce was freshly made from cream, not some globby pre prepared stuff. Very, very good. Nothing like years ago. If you haven't been to the Roma in a million years as we had, don't judge your past experience. Try them out! Very pleasant surprise and somewhere for us to go that isn't an hour away! I will tell you the only mistake the new owners made is in keeping the same name as the old Roma. The reviews on Yelp are mostly based on the old Roma which was a dump. If they insist on keeping the name, they should add something to it and get a new account on Yelp that reflects the new patrons reviews.

There were 2 other couples when we got there. I ordered the Red Sangria that was 1/2 wine 1/2 orange juice. Not to my liking. Exchanged for a glass of moscato. Dinner i got the seafood special that said shrimp, scallops, lobster tail, and mussels over linguine with a pink sauce. He got the cannelloni one beef and one spinach. My entree had no price listed on the specials menu. I have never let price deter me snd I Was shocked to see it was $60. We eat out a lot but that was in no way a $60 dish. The portions were small. Seafood quality was mediocre. And the lobster tails were rock lobster. Which is a coarser meat and not as flavorful as Maine lobster. Which was misleading on the description. Overall one and done for us. In my opinion its too expensive for what they are serving.

The crust on the pizza I ordered from Spaziano's was excellent. It seems like a lot of the other pizza places around here use a Greek crust which isn't my favorite. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the eggplant that they put on the pizza I ordered was just plain eggplant and it didn't seem fully cooked. I thought it was going to be breaded like the way it usually is when it's in eggplant parmigiana or in an eggplant sub. I might request breaded eggplant on a pizza next time. I definitely recommend Spaziano's pizza, though, and I look forward to trying more from the menu there!

After eating here, there is indeed bad pizza. It was the worse pizza I ever had. The pizza dough was the frozen type, no reasonable effort for the dough or crust to be good. The sauce was from a jar or can, and was over seasoned with dry Italian seasoning. The cheese felt like the type you get on an Ellio's pizza -- it melted in shreds. Bland and flavorless. Or maybe just overpowered so bad by the Italian seasoning. I wouldn't ever order from here ever again and I think this place should be embarrassed that this is the pizza product they put out. I genuinely don't know how they have repeat customers when there are so many other pizza places that care about the taste, quality, and presentation of their pizza. The Ellio's I compared earlier would probably be a better choice than here.
