The table has a nice individual light, and a bottle of water on the table. Unlike some other local restaurants, soda refills are free and a pitcher was brought by the table to serve refills of diet coke. What was not good was the large beer poster of the St Paulie Girl with her nipples hanging out. I realize these are beer posters and I realize they are German and things are different there. But this was a prominently placed poster. I just wouldn't think a place where a lot of families dine would put this in such a prominent spot, or any spot really. I'm not a super prude, I just raised three sons. So the sandwich though, was very good.

I have purchased from this establishment twice. Both times I ordered the same thing. I only ordered take out, I have never eating in the restaurant. The pizza was very good, better than most pizza shops. On both orders, the person who took my call had a very dry personality, and their answers were very short, border line rude. When I arrived, to pick up the order, their personality matched those on the phone. On my second call they took my order and hung up on me. They just had this attitude about them that they really didn't care if I ate their food or not. The parking is also TERRIBLE. The first time I barley squeezed my vehicle into a small side lot space, the second time there simply was no place to park. It seems to be THE pizza parlor of Abingdon, judging from how busy they get. But just for the dry/rude demeanor of the staff, I probably won't be back. read more

Pizza is good. They are rude, plain and simple. That turns me off, especially since I grew up here. That's probably the last time I'll go there, it was that bad. Not one person greeted us, not one thank you ($35 bucks for two large pizzas, you can muster a "thank you") and the guy bitched at us for coming to the window that you used to walk up to to get your pizza. (Their renovation is confusing and no one was at the counter to help. Instead of saying "if you want to go to the counter and someone will help you in a minute" the guy just kept yelling "you ain't supposed to be back here!") Yeh, I'm out . I came here after biking the Virginia Creeper Trail and there was nothing fancy or spectacular about this place. Their food was average and their pizza was okay. The service took forever but I do attribute that to us having a large party of 20 and also considering that they were really busy. The service was friendly so that really helped make up for how long the order took to came out. Everyone around me seemed to really enjoyed their food. I went to Bella's pizza with about 20 people. We called a head, but when we got there, the tables weren't set up and the service was a little slow. Once we got our food, it was pretty good. The toppings tasted good, and the pizza tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. My friend got a "large" salad which looked the smallest salad I've ever seen. Had dinner at Bella's Pizza after riding 34-miles of Virginia Creeper Trail on a bike and was very hungry. I ordered chicken salad and enjoyed very much. There was not much chicken in it but it was still and made me full pretty quickly considering how hungry I was. Very nice place to visit with your friends and have some nice food. They have TV so you won't get bored if you are alone. Recommend everyone! read more

I went there with a few friends and we made a weird combination of toppings (Jalapenos, sausage, bell pepper, pineapple and pepperoni, weird right?) for our pizza, but we enjoyed it. There are plenty of good restaurants in the Abingdon/Damascus area and Bella's Pizza/Subs is not one of them. The pizza is overly priced, overly cheesy, and overly greasy. The salad is mediocre with what obviously appears to be frozen, preheated chicken. This restaurant is also not group friendly. For groups larger than 10, the restaurant charges an 18% gratuity. Do not waste your money here. read more
