As we got closer to the date, Lea worked with the wedding planner to tweak the delivery, set up, and removal. Best of all, as I became more of an anxious mother-of-the-bride, she spent time on the phone with me, patiently reassuring me and walking me through exactly how everything would go. Absolutely beautiful flower arrangement I definitely have to give that to them. My husband also consistently buys for every birthday and anniversary from them. But I'm noticing a lack of freshness, within 3 days the flowers are starting to die out even on the day that I got them the the rose buds were really soft and wilting. His last order was 2 months ago with a box of ferrero rocher, once opened they looked really stale and had a white tint on them. We had to toss the entire box out. I do hope that they take this as constructive criticism and put a little more effort into this. read more

We yelped a bunch of florists in the Bronx before selecting Bella's. We called late in the day hoping to get flowers sent to a church in the Bronx for a dear friend's funeral service the next day. I contracted with Bella's Flower Shop (Bronx, NY) for Chuppah Rentals. I spoke with Lea, who is the owner. She was responsive until after I paid for the chuppah. PROS: Lea was helpful, cheerful, and informative. You pay for the rental in full via credit card over the phone or in-store, which is convenient. I asked for the simplest chuppah - just the 4 posts with canopy and drapery. It looked beautiful on the day of the wedding. The price was also very reasonable - one of the cheapest in the NY and northern NJ area. It was $545 for delivery, setup, and take down. Rental time is 2 hours. CONS: The flower shop does have insurance, but if you ask them to send a copy to your venue (and you venue will typically request liability forms from all vendors), they will charge you an extra $50. This was not something they told me when I paid in full for the chuppah. They only told me that they had insurance, but neglected to mention the extra cost. Luckily, my venue worked with me and waived the requirement since the flower shop was only doing setup and take down of the chuppah. They are not responsive at all. They do not answer emails unless you are asking about something that may eventually result in business/money for them. The month leading up to my wedding, I called 3 times to discuss timing. I was asked to call back 2 times because I wasn't bringing new business. If you are not calling to ask about services and potentially promise money, they sort of treat you like "money in the bag" and you get the back burner treatment. The third time I called, I asked her to arrive at 10AM for my 11:30AM ceremony because I wanted to have time for photos before the guests arrived. The chuppah was not setup until 11AM and I did not get photos. Lea was not as cheerful as before, but instead told me "if you consider us, we'll consider you". I was definitely put off by this comment. Not very professional and I honestly considered having my credit card company refund my money. read more

After a misunderstanding over a delivery, one for which alternatives could not be reached, the simply refunded my money without any hassle or "speaking to the manager".
