Let's be real: this Throggs Neck florist isn't trying to be high-end or Instagram-famous. It's basic, but in that reliable, no-drama kind of way. You walk in, there are fridges to keep certain flowers chilled and an assortment of flowers to choose from. They have the usual lineup: roses, carnations, daisies, lilies- nothing wild or exotic (I don't think), but they keep everything looking fresh and the price list is straightforward. I usually stop here to grab a "thinking of you" bouquet for family or friends and honestly, the price isn't breaking my wallet. But if you want to go all out, they'll make it look nice without overdoing it. It's not the kind of shop that screams luxury or does fancy arrangements for magazines- but if you need flowers, quick and decent, Jerome delivers. Simple, clean and no show-off energy. Plus Chandra is a sweetheart- who wraps up my bouquets to make them look nice. read more

I ordered a gourmet gift basket at east Treamont location as a sympathy basket but it arrived three days late and was of poor quality, completely different from what I ordered. Despite multiple calls to customer service, they just told me it had been shipped and never asked for any further details or took action. Ordered a bouquet on Mothers Day for the same day, my order was accepted. When the delivery driver turned up, he gave the wrong name, he said Jasmine which wasn't the name on the order. Since it was a surprise, my mother-in-law wasn't expecting any delivery. I ordered from the UK, however, I did include the phone number of my mother-in-law if there were any issues. She received no call. The next day she called & spoke to a really nice woman that apologised & said they'd include a complimentary box of chocolates. By 5pm on the 12th there was still no delivery so she called again, this time speaking to a rude man. He said nobody was there to deliver so she wouldn't get them till the following day. Maybe an hour later my sister-in-law found the flowers on the porch sitting on a chair!?! Nobody knocked or called. We had included a note with the flowers. There was no small card with the message we included. Instead, they included a receipt with the message on there. Terrible service & very disappointed. The bouquet was lovely & came in a glass vase, so while it was a stressful experience the flowers were worth the price & were beautiful. Edit: The rude man even had the audacity to say there was an issue with my credit card. First of all, my order was accepted! I paid for it via Apple Pay, so if there was an issue it would never have went through. read more

My flowers were never delivered!! I contacted the shop, first thing the next morning and was told "the order came in late, my delivery driver doesn't go up that far, that's why it wasn't delivered". So, I asked why wasn't I called or messaged, and he didn't respond. I also told him, according to the countdown clock on his site, I got my order in on time to meet the same day delivery. Plus, the website accepted my order for delivery, AFTER the recipients zip code was entered. He responded "Well!......I'll get it out today". But, I asked him to cancel the order and refund my payment. However, it's been days now, and MY MONEY STILL HASN'T BEEN REFUNDED. Then, to make matters even worse, I received an email confirmation, stating the flowers were delivered, and my order was complete. Absolutely horrible customer service! read more

My family has supported this business for over 40 years. I can't even begin to understand why this happened. Incredibly disappointed doesn't begin to describe my recent experience. Since my father passed away (over four years ago), I tried to keep his tradition of sending my mother her flowers for her Anniversary and Birthday. Same flowers, same order, religiously. A few hospital deliveries and other occasions. The usual associates I deal with know me by name and order. So based on my previous experiences, I must have gotten an OWNER, because no one they hire would have spoken to me the way HE did. My usual order was more than doubled in price and he explained that it's been like that for years (in his dreams) then hung up on me. When I called back he claimed we were "disconnected" and wasn't even sure he'd have the flowers by tomorrow. I explained that it's NEVER been a problem before, since they expect my order (which they comment every time how sweet my gesture is). I'm a bit devastated that I have to go elsewhere but unfortunately that's the way they are treating LOYAL, LOCAL CUSTOMERS. Shame. Terrible florist!!!! I placed a floral spread for my mom's funeral this week. I put the order in on Sunday for Tuesday 10 am. My mom service was at 3-5 on Tuesday they delivered the flowers Tuesday at 5:30pm at the end on my mom's service. I called 800 flowers all day and the florist told lies!!! First they was no service for my mom they call the funeral home next was they were calling me all day I didn't pick up. Then the flowers are in transit will get there by 2:30. While I'm saying goodbye to my mom before the close the casket the deliver the flowers. I will never deal with them or 800 flowers again. The worse day for me and you do this and don't even call or say sorry beware people!!!! read more

This has to be the most Unprofessional, Rude, and damn right disrespectful flower shop that I've been to. And being that it's so highly recommended definitely surprised me. The two people in there were extremely rude and inattentive, once I was helped, which was one question, the lady proceeded to go in the back, talk to someone, and then get on the phone and help another person, and only to tell the me after I asked someone else that the flowers I asked about weren't "good" whatever that means, then dumb jerk in the front would rather help white females then a man wit a beard. I felt this place was racist and discriminative towards me when I was only polite and respectful. If I was some tony soprano schmuck then I'm sure they would've been more then willing to help smh. Very nice staff. Went in here to purchase a Valentines day Bouquet. Wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but Eddie was very helpful. The flowers were beautiful and fresh. Prices are fair and much cheaper than 1-800 flowers. I also went here four years ago to order flowers for my Grandmothers funeral and they were helpful then as well, which is why I keep coming back! read more

I ordered flowers at 11 o'clock last night to be delivered on Wednesday. After realizing the recipient wouldn't be in the office to receive the flowers I had to make a change. I called at 8 am this morning and spoke to a nice gentleman that said he'd have them there today before 12. They were there by 10 am and they are beautiful. The arrangement is better than the photo. Unimpressed with this flower shop. When you deliver flowers it should be a nice surprise, not an unexpected chore. Flowers were fine, but overpriced. The issue was with the service. I was away for work when something happened to my girlfriend that I wanted to send flowers for. The form asked for the recipient's name and number, I assumed as a last resort because I've purchased flowers like this before. When I returned I found out that their "delivery" was someone calling ahead to let her know she had a flower order, and that she needed to be home, and that the delivery was on their way. Then after that the guy called to let her know he was about to leave to make the delivery (so the first lady was misrepresenting the time). Then when the guy got close he tried to convince my girlfriend to come meet him somewhere that he was parked nearby to pick up the flowers. Ended up agreeing to the lobby. When you pay $100 for a bouquet of flowers, they ought to make an effort. read more

Very disappointed and upset. I ordered from here all the way from Florida. Bought a very expensive bouquet for my grandmothers 86th birthday today. Do not waste your money ordering from this place. The girl that works there is very unprofessional and lacks customer service. I called her yesterday to check on order and she said everything is ok. I received a call from her today stating that the flowers I purchased a week ago she no longer has. I asked her 'Why didn't you tell me this yesterday when I called " She gave me a huge attitude and stated" I don't know what to tell you, I can only attempt to help by providing purple roses or giving back your refund" I was telling her its not fair and the business needs to be handled better. She disconnected call on me. I attempted to call back but she would not answer the phone. Disgusting customer service. I feel so bad that I've taken so long to write my review. First of I want to say that Lou is great! He is a pleasure to talk to and always made time from his busy schedule to speak to my husband and I. On our first meeting he created a "demo" centerpiece to show us what our centerpieces could look like. We tweeked and added this and removed that on that day. But on the day of our wedding, our centerpieces looked exactly like the "demo" he made for us months prior. My cascading bouquet was to die for! Everything was up to par. I went there to buy plants for a Christmas gift and the staff was very helpful. They greeted me warmly from when I walked through the door and offered to assist with selecting some cute bamboo plants. The cashier wrapped the plants beautifully. Service was efficient, prices were affordable and the environment was welcoming. I didn't give 5 stars only because technically I didn't buy a floral arrangement, so I can't comment on that aspect of their service, but I was satisfied with my experience! read more

I used Jerome Florist for my fathers funeral because the owner is a friend of a family member. I was highly disappointed. The arrangements I ordered were over priced! The ribbon on a $300 arrangement was hand written in sloppy childlike handwriting. I also ordered a $100 arrangement of blue and white roses but was sent yellow and white. read more

I trusted luis to work on my wedding flowers ... It was the worst choice i made .. He didnt deliver the centerpieces i paid for, the forgot the candles, petals for the tables and corsages and the boutonnieres were missing.. After i called them i were able to bring somewhat what was missing but than the guy was waiting for me in the isle as prove .. Let me start off by saying how TERRIFIC the owner, Lou is! He was hands down one of my best wedding vendors for my 09/15/17 wedding. My husband and I met with him about 7 months before our wedding. He was very knowledgable and gave us his honest opinion. He made suggestions about ways we could save money instead of trying to upsell us like many other places easily would have done! He took us in the back and made us a centerpiece right there on the spot and even let me help! It was awesome, that he let me do that and made the experience that much more memorable! For what we got, the price we paid was exceptional! Lou even gave me his cell phone number so anytime I had a question or issue, I could easily reach him. And he always responded, which is a huge plus because I had some vendors that were horrible at returning emails or phone calls. The night before my wedding, I was texted a picture of my bouquet for approval which I thought was so awesome that they even took the time to do that!!
