It has been several years since I've left a review for Wild Orchid and my experience with this has never changed. I appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to satisfying all customers the best they could. With my recent experience, i ordered arrangements with a smiley mug. They were kind enough to reach out to inform me they do not have a smiley mug but will do their best to find one. I wasn't upset about it or anything and also let them know if they couldn't locate one, i can option for a heart or something. Luckily, they were able to locate a smiley mug anyways. The effort and customer service they have provided me all these years since 2019 or 2020 until now has been phenomenal. I truly appreciate all the hard work the staff does! I am all the way in the West Coast. These arrangements sent to loved ones, they mean a lot to me and to my loved ones and their family. I had a great experience ordering my flowers from Flowers by Wild Orchid for my wedding last September. I visited several locations in The Bronx and let's just say my experience with the owners of this shop was refreshing. My bouquet was stunning and beautifully put together as was my husbands boutonniere. I had a cake made nearby at Conti's Bakery and they delivered flowers to them for my cake topper which was fantastic and very nice of them. Terrible flowers delivered for my daughter's 40th birthday. I picked out a bouquet online with dark purple flowers. They sent droopy half dead white ones & added some lavender flowers. The water was spilling out all over. I called & was told by a woman who answered that they have the right to substitute flowers. She claimed that she called me and left a voicemail in that regard. No message was received. My iPhone didn't even show it as a recent call. I had to request another bouquet. The new one was delivered, and the original was taken away. Now, how CHEAP can you be. I have to wonder what unsuspecting customer received the bouquet taken from my daughter's home. What a nightmare! I also paid for a box of candy and was told that the box was upgraded to Godiva, because they did not have the dark purple flowers I ordered. What a farce! read more

Was having a wedding cake made by contis bakery a few blocks away and had to pick up some fresh flowers (as they advised real flowers were more attractive than sugar flowers). Anthony helped me with picking his best roses (I wasn't picky with color), and he did such a great job and took care of me so well, that I ordered a few centerpieces from him 2 days before my small intimate wedding. I've learned that going local is the best way to do business. I'm all the way out in San Francisco, my mother lives in the Morris Park area of the Bronx... I didn't actually *forget* her birthday, but I definitely lagged on sending a card or a gift and all of a sudden it's her birthday... FLOWERS! But online delivery can't guarantee same day and the lowest priced arrangements start around $35, not including delivery or taxes... I looked here and found that this florist was closest to my parent's house... When I phoned, the lovely woman who answered accommodated my price range, wrote out a card, took my billing info and said she would make up a nice bouquet for my mom. It was delivered to her in less than an hour and my mother could not be more pleased. YAY! Thank you, lovely local flower shop. You saved my ass and made my mom so happy. read more

The people here are lifesavers!!! Due to a lack of communication, the bride had no bouquet for her courthouse wedding. I know, what the hell! We needed flowers and we needed them fast! As a friend, I went searching for florist that could really come through for us. The first stop was at a place was at a shop that was too busy eating their breakfast than to actually help us out! Thankfully, we came across Wild Orchid. We got a great bouquet and some beautiful flowers for a reasonable price! Her teardrop cascading bouquet was falling apart even before she got to walk down the aisle. Her bridesmaids flower were purple and she ask for coral. I found this flower shop through a search on yelp. I was looking for a shop nearby to get a corsage for my son's prom date. Of course, the prom was today and corsages need to be ordered in advance. However, to my surprise, the florist was kind and understanding and said my order would be ready in an hour. Exactly an hour later she called me to let me know the corsage was ready. Simply wonderful!!! While I recommend placing orders in advance and not waiting until the last minute, I was so grateful for the exceptional service I received. i feel sorta odd writing a review for FLOWERS i saw at a FUNERAL... BUT... here goes... i was at a FUNERAL recently.... it was sad, of course. we all gathered to support a woman/friend who lost her husband. amidst conversations and remembrances, i notice some BEAUTIFUL floral arrangements flanking the coffin. vibrant, beautiful, well-crafted... the arrangements suited the occasion, but also lent an aura of "class" to the proceedings... again, it is strange to be writing ANY kind of review about a wake/funeral... but these FLORAL ARRANGEMENT were worth mentioning... and complimenting. i hope ANYONE reading this does need these type of flowers anytime in the near future. but, should the need arise, WILD ORCHID would be a perfect choice. if this is the kinda work they do for somber occasions, i can ONLY imagine what they turn out for HAPPY/POSITIVE occasions! read more

When Angelo found out that the delivery truck was having problems and wouldn't be able to deliver my arrangement on time, he took it upon himself to make sure the flowers arrived on time - no easy feat at 5:30 in his area. We used Flowers by Wild Orchid for our wedding bouquets and centerpieces. We worked with Lisa and Anthony, who were both very friendly and attentive throughout the process. We actually made a few appointments while we were figuring out what we wanted for our centerpieces, and they were very accommodating. We also found their prices to be reasonable considering how much wedding flowers can cost in the NYC area. The only glitch was that the delivery and setup was later than expected, so I didn't have flowers for our First Look, and our table numbers were delivered after the photographer had already taken detail shots of our centerpieces. Aside from that delay, everything else went very well. I also noticed the care that Anthony took when he was tying my bouquet charm with a photo of my dad onto my bouquet, and I really appreciated that. Thanks again, Wild Orchid! read more

They are the WORST... I would not put my money in there greedy hands ever. They took my money and, gave me a absolutely poor service. They (Flowers By Wild Orchid) in the Bronx on Morris Park Avenue...can NOT be trusted. They were suppose to deliver my flowers for my wedding in September 2008 by 3p and they showed up to my wedding at 4:30p. Not all the grooms men had their flowers and my reception flower arrangements were the worst. The reception flower arrangement looked like I ordered something for my cousins birthday gift!!! After all was said and, done they told me to my face..."you got your arrangements," really not on time, but you got what you wanted to give...unprofessional, thieves and full of greed. NEVER ever..will I pay full price upfront. I will have a retainer for every vendor from this day forward!!! If I could give NO STARS...I would!!!! read more

Based on Yelp reviews, we ordered about $300 in table centerpieces and a wedding bouquet. The staff was friendly & helpful the day I came in to order. On the day of the ceremony, a family member picked up the flowers because they'd said they'd be too busy with Valentine's Day orders to deliver. Now the bad news. The stems of the centerpieces had been cut too short above the water, so by the end of the evening, half of every arrangement was wilted. And they forgot to include the bouquet (!!!). Family member had to rush back to get the bouquet. I had ordered the bouquet as a small handheld bridal bouquet that could be easily split into two smaller ones, for the Presentation of the Flowers to Mary and St. Joseph. What we got instead were two bunches of brown-edged gas-station type long stem roses. Who's walking down the aisle with that?? Poor Mary & Joseph. We waited until after their Valentine's Day rush to let them know we were disappointed. No apologies, no credit, just complaints that we'd waited too long to let them know about the problems. I chose this flower shop because of a bridal show I went to. Their service and flowers are horrible. I chose from a book of pictures for my bouquets and when i went today after leaving 150.oo my bouquets were HORRIBLE, the owner JOE was not willing to help me at all. I took my money back and went somewhere else which offered me a better price and much better flowers, I already saw my bouquet on display and it was beautiful. I received a dozen red rozens as an Anniversary gift from my husband from your florist. The flowers were beautiful on the day they arrived and they have actaully gotten even more amazing with each passing day. The lily's that were mixed in the arrangement are the largest I have ever seen. Each day another seems to bloom more spectacular than the last. The roses are in pristine condition. Its now 5 days later and my flowers look and smell fresh as they day they were dleivered. I have received various flower arrangements over the years, from different florists, and this one is without a doubt the best ever. I visited Flowers by Wild Orchid for my wedding. My mom told me she'd take care of the flowers, but when we were about a month and a half away and nothing had been done, I realized I had to find a place FAST. They definitely came through for me. The price point was terrific and they did everything I asked for in time. The only reason I took off a star is because I did communicate to two different people at the shop that I wasn't very picky, but I definitely didn't want any orange flowers. One of the main batches they delivered were bright orange daisies. It turned out not to bother me as much as I thought it would, and they looked beautiful regardless. I'm not the pickiest person so even something like that didn't overly offend me, but because it had been mentioned twice I wondered why they had chosen that flower. It's possible that someone else did the ordering, but I know that they had written down my request for no orange. Still, I have to reiterate, you won't find a better florist in the area. Wonderful people, beautiful flowers, and great prices. Can't beat that! read more
