The end result was nowhere near the expectations they had set. The delivery staff were extremely rude to our venue manager. I did some research and they were kind to work with me and get an arrangement for the services. I asked them to make something with a golf theme and they were accommodating. I broke down in tears when they texted me an image of the flowers before they made the delivery. I mean, for such a sad moment, Arcadia really did solid work. The arrangement was remembered and praised. Later, in Portland - where Jimmy lived - we held a wake at his bar. Although overall Arcadia did a good job of helping us design and execute the floral arrangements for our wedding, I can only give them a 3 star rating. The reason: We had always made or payments on time When it came to the final payment, Arcadia has already received thousands of dollars In payments and I wanted to make sure that they received the final payment on time as well. We were getting close to the time, a Saturday, when they would require payment but we did not yet know the final number of tables that we would need centerpieces for, so we could not calculate a final price. I could not reach our floral designer for 4 days because she does not work on Saturday, Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesdays and does not work again until Wednesday She was out of the office on Wednesday and we were were on our way to the Hamptons for a vacation on Thursday. The final payment was due on Saturday and we are Jewish Sabbath observers and don't handle money on Saturdays. When we finally got through, the manager insisted on payment by Saturday which was impossible for us. I had to turn the car around and drive back 90 minutes in traffic to hand deliver the final check, disrupting our plans. I owe this unfortunate turn off of events to poor communication and lack of understanding and flexibility. Arcadia is only open 4 days a week, the individual designer does not have a direct email, and the general email does not respond for days and is not familiar with individual cases. I also think that the inflexibility of the manager, who was borderline rude and arrogant, to make a clearly legitimate exception was punitive and completely unnecessary since they had had already received large payments from us. You make your own decision but I would not use them again. read more

It was a very devastating decision but we decided to continue to do a micro-ceremony on our original date with our immediate family. I'm so late in leaving this review for my small, micro wedding, held June 21, just after the quarantine ended. My expectations were beyond met. Sam, the owner of Arcadia, is a doll, and Elena, the designer, was a pleasure to work with. I had signed a contract for a big wedding, and with the pandemic, I wasn't sure whether we would postpone or cancel. I spoke to Sam, and he said whatever we decide, he'd work with us. Initially, we switched the date for our reception, but I still wanted to get married on the date my fiancé and I decided on, so we held a Zoom ceremony at home, and Sam put a soft hold for our big reception at a later date. I told Sam to deliver a simple bouquet for me at the house and a boutonnière for my groom. I asked what the charge for this would be, and he said NO CHARGE. I said, "Oh, will you, then, add the price to our big celebration later?" He said NO. He insisted on being helpful and working with us during the pandemic. He never tried to nickel and dime us. My bouquet was STUNNING. It was literally the most beautiful bridal bouquet I've ever seen, and I thought, "That's what you call simple?!" I wish I had it preserved. We ended up having to cancel the reception, that we had initially held for later. Sam said we could use our deposit with Arcadia as a credit toward anything in the future, that it wouldn't be lost, or expire. Arcadia is reasonably priced compared to other florists in the area, (not cheap but not as expensive either) and their work is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend them. Clearly their main priority is weddings as they have LITTLE COMPASSION, because why in the world would a business walk into a person's house, who's grieving on the day of their close family member's funeral, to take back flowers because of the business' mistake? Oh, right, Arcadia would. I don't think arguing with an unsatisfied customer over a Yelp review on the website is professional. I still stand by that the man I spoke with on the phone would not let me get a word in edgewise (aka bulldozing) and that disturbing a family on the day of a funeral to fix a mistake (someone please count how many times I've mentioned this) while they were grieving would have been pretty inept (aka sleezy) in my opinion. I read through the other responses the business had to other negative reviews, which were the only reviews they decided to respond to, and they were very defensive and argumentative. In my experience a business apologizes for a mistake and asks how they can rectify it. They don't come back years later to say "eh it was kind of our fault, but you're also very much to blame-maybe more than us," which is the vibe I'm getting from what they had written. I was 100% truthful in my review-no where did I exaggerate, but you know what they say "give them enough rope and they'll hang themselves." read more

We used this florist for our October 2014 wedding at GIHC. We worked with Erikka for months before to ensure I get the flowers I wanted. She was very patient when I was super indecisive at first, not knowing anything at all about centerpieces and bouquets. During our first meeting, I told her I wanted all white and purple flowers. Once I went home, I completely changed my mind and decided I wanted all different shades of purple and no white. Erikka was understanding and changed my order with no problem. She was super knowledgable with all flowers and helped to accommodate my taste. Also, she was a pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered to our hotel room as promised. The centerpieces were delivered and set up at GIHC. At first, I was a bit disappointed with the bouquets because I thought the bridesmaids bouquets were smaller than they should be. Also, my bouquet contained too many dark purple callla lilies - something I said I wanted very little of. In the end, it worked out well. The bridesmaids bouquets looked gorgeous, as did mine. One thing I hope they change - each employee should have their own email address. I kept having to email the general Arcadia email to reach Erikka and sometimes was worried that she didn't get the message. Thanks for all the help! Adrienne and her team worked with me through one-on-one meetings, Face Time Chats, phone calls and emails to accommodate for my busy work schedule and the distance of how we lived from their venue. Adrienne and her team were also very easy to work with, detailed with their responses and understanding of the tweaks and aesthetic I was looking for based on photos that I had shared. Someone was always available​ to speak to and was always able to find a solution to a question. I was very happy with the turnout of the centerpieces, arch for the ceremony and the reception, and the tall stands at our ceremony. They were also able to work with our short timeline. The bridal bouquet arrived early at our hotel room where we were getting ready. It was beautiful and looked editorial but was not to my taste at first, but the team and the designer was able to fix it quickly in less than an hour to my aesthetic and it looked stunning! Just came from my first visit with this florist as it was on a vendor list from my upcoming wedding venue. Adrienne was lovely and professional. You can tell she is very good at what she does and even though there is a year to go for my wedding she put my worries to rest. I didn't know if I would be able to convey what I wanted, but after showing her some pics, colors and ideas I had, she filled in the rest. She recommended without overshadowing what I wanted and helped me reach my vision since I don't know much about flowers. I told her my budget and she met it perfectly. The topping on the cake was when she took the flowers she showed me and that I subsequently picked and wrapped them up in a bouquet for me to take home for free! He made changes to the flowers we picked and everything was just gorgeous! They delivered to the Venetian in Garfield NJ; had everything perfectly labeled. I wish I had asked them to remove the flowers for us from the Chuppa (orchids) and wrap them so we could take home. We just didn't have time to do ourselves. For those who said the flowers were underwhelming in their review, the only thing I could think is that they had a small budget and weren't willing to pay for the flowers they wanted or were recommended. Called and older guy answered and said very nastily WE DONT DELIVER TO THAT AREA. What? He said, again nastily, no nice apology, no " anything we can do?" we could deliver to greece. It has been over 3 years from my wedding and I see that the company only now replied to my review. Based on their response I still stand by my initial dissatisfaction and disbelief of their lack of professionalism. Again, if I had to do it all over again, I would choose any other florist. Based on other reviews, whether it be a wedding or funeral, they are unsympathetic and unapologetic for their own mistakes. How they remain in business is a wonder to me, but I suppose because they have contracts with some of the venues as an exclusive vendor they remain afloat. When I had initially spoke with the team there, we had discussed a $4,000 budget for flowers. When I had added on hanging candles to my centerpieces, I expected that to increase by about $500. Our final bill was just over $6,000. I don't understand how all of our vendors were able to stay within our price range except for them and that I was never informed that our final price would be $2,000 OVER budget. I was told over the phone that my centerpieces alone cost $3,900. If that was the case, I should have been told that when I saw the sample centerpiece. What's more is that the centerpieces shouldn't have even been shown to me if they were going to cost that much. They should have been prepared with flowers within my budget. But, we needed our flowers and since it was the week of the wedding, we paid. I was once again extremely disappointed when the flowers arrived to my mom's house. The bridesmaids and myself all had white bouquets that were BROWN at the tips already. I understand that was a very hot day, but browning already? At 11AM? I didn't even save my own bridal bouquet. By the time we got to cocktail hour, mine was completely wilted and brown. The bridesmaids' flowers were also supposed to be wrapped in white which I had specifically requested but instead they were in the ugliest what I think was supposed to be gold. It was awful. The flower arrangements for the church were also described to me as "large" arrangements on either side of the altar. The arrangements were small hydrangeas that were BEHIND the altar that no one could see. At all. I barely even noticed they were there. If I remember correctly, they cost $200. For that, I could have cut my mom's hydrangeas in her yard and brought them with me. The centerpieces were beautiful but I couldn't help but care less since everything else had been a total disappointment. I had chosen Arcadia because the flowers for my sister's wedding were done by them and they were beautiful so you can imagine my disappointment when I was less than pleased with my own. I would have NEVER agreed to spend over $6,000 on flowers. Ever. And flowers that are brown when they already arrive? For $6,000? It's completely unacceptable. Our wedding was amazing and luckily the flowers were the only thing that I was disappointed in. If they are going to charge people thousands of dollars for arrangements, you should take better care in listening to their requests. We had a very large wedding and will be attending several weddings in 2017. Most of my own planning was done by recommendations, word of mouth and online reviews. Our venue made us chose this florist. I think this florist has a small capacity to fill flower orders. They could only show us the table-scape and when it came to the day of, everything was very underwhelming about their presentation. The flowers were sparse and short, the glasses were too small for the setting, the drapery we paid additional for could have been a long neck scarf. You could have spent the money at a bodega and have produced a similar feel. Flowers make or break the decoration and ambiance of your wedding, so I recommend that you look elsewhere prior to committing to these people. read more

However when I called and spoke to the manager he fixed the issue and sent me a new bouquet within the hour. My only issue was that he was really rude about it. I used Arcadia for my wedding in New Rochelle. Note, my wedding venue restricted me to Arcadia and another florist which both were very costly (about 2x) compared to other florists as they knew I was under restriction. However, Arcadia was the lesser of the two, in terms of price. The customer service was average to good. She showed me samples of the different roses. I knew what centerpieces I wanted and they helped give ideas for the ceremony. I ended up opting out of ceremony and cake decorations due to my budget. They showed me a sample of my centerpiece in my second meeting with them. However, the final product at the wedding was even nicer!!!!!! They did an amazing job with the high centerpieces as they were very beautiful. The low centerpieces were average as expected from the sample. I had 12 high centerpieces and 10 lows. I gave Arcadia my budget and they worked with it. They comp'd the groom's boutonnieres (I had ten groomsmen). The corsages for the mothers turned out very nice. I told them I wanted a nosegay look of all roses for my bridal bouquet which was nice but smaller than expected (they gave a free "bouquet toss- throwaway bouquet"). The (5) bridesmaids bouquets were very nice and bigger than expected. They delivered the flowers to my hotel in New Rochelle great on time (about 20 min earlier than discussed which is appreciated). Overall, easy process and delivery, beautiful high centerpieces but pricey. read more

I am an interior designer w/ very specific ideas about how I want things to look - I'm also very used to working with vendors & these guys are great. I worked w/ Erikka there, her mind is like a steel trap!! She remembered everything I said in the time we worked together, she is highly organized and fun to work with. She put me at ease re: my budget and the results looked much more expensive than they were. I loved that Erikka made me feel that I could have exactly what I wanted even though I could not spend a fortune. I got the look & feel I was going for and received many compliments, my fiance was shocked when he saw how huge our arrangements were - perfect for the very high ceilings at my venue. For my reception I did a combination of tall candelabras with flowers on top and low bowls. Arcadia has an unusually large selection of great containers and candelabras which are very elegant and give a high end look to your reception. The candelabras I used looked like fine antiques which perfectly suited my venue. They were extremely tall and my guests loved how they could see each other across the table, the arrangements did not get in the way. Arcadia also provided many candles with my arrangements which gave my reception a magnificent romantic vibe that I just loved. For my card table they did a stunning arrangement in a trumpet vase, surrounded by tea lights. I think that was my favorite arrangement out of all of the work they did for me. Arcadia had worked at my venue before and they were there right on time, everything with the delivery went very smooth, I actually did not even know it happened until returned to my venue and saw the beautiful flowers. I highly recommend Arcadia to any bride, they provided a phenomenal bang for the buck. My color scheme was incredibly important as I truly wanted to bring out the natural beauty of the room at the Old Tappan Manor.
