I had high hopes for Bellagreen when I found a restaurant that had a variety of gluten free options. It was our first time to visit and the atmosphere was super cute. My coworker ordered a pasta dish and received it very quickly, she waited for a while but I told her to eat while it was hot. I also ordered a pasta dish so I didn't think it would be much longer. Sadly after she had finished and over 30 minutes after ordering I still had not received my meal. I went and asked if it was almost done which I was reassured it was and about 5 minutes later was asked if I had ordered the meal my coworker had already completed. I said no and corrected the gentlemen realizing at that point my meal was never even started. There were 4 other tables of people who had come in after us and all received their food and were finishing before I ever got mine. I finally went and told them to box it to-go so I could just leave. I barely received a sorry as he walked away from bringing my to-go bag. Things happen but the way a business handles it is what is important. This was terrible customer service and no acknowledgement on their end that they did anything wrong. We definitely won't be back just because we obviously were not seen as valued customers. I gave it two stars versus one because the food I eventually got to eat when I made it to my hotel was good. I just wish I could have had the chance to enjoy conversation and a meal with a coworker instead of watching her eat. read more

My husband just went to pick up some food for me ...its literally less than 10 min away driving..burger and fries were cold, and veggies in my veggie taco were not fresh. Cilantro looked old and tortilla was very cold and hard..was very disappointed...my husband got stomachache after his burger. I am not sure if they really use fresh ingredients. read more

From the ordering process to the manager checking up on us to make sure everything is seamlessly delivered to our table, this place gets at least the 5 stars yelp provides as the maximum threshold for customer service and food quality. Ruggles and Ruggles Green have always exceeded my expectations when I come to Houston from NYC visiting friends, but this Alabama location has made me write one of my few reviews all year! read more

bellagreen - New American Near Me - Houston, Texas

This is an excellent place for gluten-free foodies. All plates come with a little card stating that it was made gluten-free which is nice for those like me who have been sabotaged accidentally by unknowing servers and staff. I love the salads since they are extremely fresh and unique. The combinations of different flavors are a lot more exciting than salads elsewhere and I leave full since it is a nice amount. This particular time I got the honey fried goat cheese arugula and had salmon put on top. I normally eat a lot but the nice size of the goat cheese medallion would have left me satisfied even without the salmon. It was wonderful to have something fried and it still be gluten free! My husband got the gluten free pepperoni pizza. He liked it better than other places we've visited in the area. It was a good amount of cheese and the fresh basil on top was perfect and a personal fav of mine. Bonus: This location has a very nice outdoor patio that was very cozy. read more

The food was ok but the problem I had was the pesto sauce for my pizza. They put pecans in their pesto sauce and it didn't say it on the menu . I'm highly allergic to nuts and if they hadn't have gave me Benadryl I probably would have went into anaphylactic shock!! That was very unacceptable but they handled it extremely well and were genuinely sorry but I don't think I'll try this place again. Everything needs to be listed when it comes to people's allergies. Most places do that but I guess they tried something new or something idk but it could have been much more worse and they could have had a law suit but, I know it wasn't intentional so... yeah probably won't be going back here read more

Chicken was way undercooked. I could have gotten salmonella poisoning from eating here. I had ordered from Favor and sent photos to the management, I did not receive a response. They only refunded the cost of food, without reimbursing me for the favor delivery cost. The manager used poor judgement in not responding to my e-mail. Can't believe they're even open!!! There's a reason why they had to change the name. read more

I was actually impressed. I had my doubts when I heard it's a "health food" joint but I walked out with a smile. The atmosphere is cool, clean, and relaxed. The service was great and my food was AWESOME! It's reasonably priced and there was dessert. Parking is a little weird since its attached to an apt building but it's worth it. read more

Yum, yum , yum.... I had shrimp tacos and they were great. Very spicy! The dessert is to die for. Everything is good, you can't go wrong. read more

The new location is a great space with both indoor and patio seating. Even though this place is largely self-serve, the service that does exist was impeccable and expedient. I ordered the spicy vegetable pasta, which probably isn't the best dish on the menu, but was mostly what I was looking for in the dish. A bed of angle hair filled with carrots, onions, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, and sprinkled with fresh basil, it was a vegetarian's delight. The only criticism might be the sauce, which while a flavorful blend of sweet and spicy tomato, was quite watery. Additionally, my friend ordered the salmon salad and said the salmon was a little overcooked. For dessert, I had the chocolate creme brule cheesecake, which was as deccadently delicious as it sounds. I would definitely recommend this restaurant that boasts such fresh foods! read more

bellagreen - Chocolate creme brule cheesecake... amazing. - New American Near Me - Houston, Texas

I've ordered from this place on three occasions. First time I ordered a pork panini, which was drenched in oil. Second time was a salad, which was just OKAY, nothing great about it. Third time, I ordered a burger thinking it would be great and I'm sure it would have, had they cooked the meat all the way through like I asked and not leave it medium rare. I had ordered it to go and didn't notice until I got to my workplace. I wasn't going to drive back over there. Needless to say, it went to the trash. read more

I've been to Bella green/Ruggles green several times & none of my meals stood out to me as being amazing. However, the bread pudding is extremely good!! Highly recommend it! read more

What a wonderful discovery! We were looking for something vegan for lunch and decided to give this a try. The food was so fresh and very tasty. The lettuce wraps were fabulous. While not close to home, the trip is worth it for the chocolate bread pudding alone! The manager said it was the best dessert in Houston and I have to agree. Nothing like it!!! read more

Randomly decided to try this place out and I was a great decision. Loved the environment. Comfortable seating, great customer service and food is delivered quick. I ordered the spicy shrimp pasta, the presentation was elegant and colorful. It tasted great and exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be returning!! read more

I had large order delivered Two of the orders were pecan crusted snapper. The fish was thick and tough, not the usual flaky fish usual with snapper. I am wondering If a day different fish was used. I was disappointed sorry probably will not use again. read more

The lamb burger with goat cheese and tzatziki sauce is sooooooo good! And so filling. The sauce, pickles, and cheese, really brings out the flavor. I usually don't eat pickles on my burgers, but their pickles were different, tasty, and had a very good flavor. A bit pricey but worth it. read more

Food is great but unfortunately I've had a negative experience at this location on two occasions. My chicken was undercooked a few months ago, and I got food poisoning after eating here last weekend. Such a shame because I love the food, but definitely won't be back to this location. read more

My daughter is gluten free and it is hard To find good stuff for her!! This place was amazing and she loved it. I especially appreciate that they can make each item that isn't already labeled as "gluten free", gluten free. Each item ordered GF comes with a card so that says the dish was prepared GF so that you don't have to worry about making sure. We will keep coming back and this will be our any night "go-to!" read more

The honey fried goat cheese salad with mango ranch is literally my favorite salad in the entire world! In addition to that their burgers are pretty great as well. The staff always seems very kind and attentive too! Highly recommend! read more

I had the fish tacos and they were pretty mediocre. I suggest not ordering them unless you really like swai (the fish they use). The fish kind of has a spongy consistency and a weird flavor. I looove fish tacos and couldn't even finish these....I only ate 2 (out of 3). read more

Bellagreen is a good spot for a light dinner. I really enjoy just coming and getting the veggie lettuce wraps as a meal. The veggie tacos are also delicious, and you can never go wrong with one of their salads. We haven't eaten any of the pizzas before, but they cook them in a brick oven that looks like it'd be great. read more

I come here primarily for dessert. Basically, if you have never had the pleasure of trying their White Chocolate Bread Pudding, GO TRY IT. Best bread pudding ever! Enough said. It's counter service here and the staff is always friendly. One of my fave spots to grab dessert in Houston. read more

Delicious fish tacos! Good sweet potato fries too. I used DoorDash to deliver and the tacos were put together so nicely. Nice portion too. I will definitely be back. read more

I absolutely love this place. Me and my family go here probably once a week. Delicious food, great service, and the cutest patio. We lost faith in Ruggles Green years ago before they relocated as the food quality went down. Been back a few times now and have been totally impressed! Something for everybody, everything looked and tasted incredible! We will be back here soon and regularly again. read more

The Grilled All-Natural Chicken Burger is the bomb! I'm a sucker for grilled chicken and honey dijon mustard and this always does the trick! The atmosphere is great and the clientele seems to be a good mix of college age adults and middle-age adults. I love that they offer a patio. Regularly drove 20 minutes for this place and was worth it every single time. It's pricey so this is a great occasional "feel like splurging" restaurant. read more

SUPER. VEGGIE. TACOS. They're so good! I have yet to order anything else because when I find a winner, I stick with it. Wait...I lied, I have also ordered a side of sweet potato fries that were better than any I have had before. I love coming here for lunch. It's easy to get back to work on time since you order and pay at the counter. The outdoor area is has sufficient shade, a must for pale patio enthusiasts like me. read more

The food is not good enough for the poor service. Recently attempted to go to Bellagreen, but apparently the staff were too overwhelmed with the 5 customers that were in the restaurant to be able to take our orders after 7 minutes of waiting at the head of the line. This kind of service is what I've come to expect at Bellagreen, sadly. If it were up to me, I'd never return to this place, but alas, my girlfriend has a gluten allergy so until more restaurants in Houston serve more varied, gluten-free food, Bellagreen will stay on the rotation. I suppose I'll just have to keep letting them know what I think while I sit happily at Local Foods. read more

It sucked. Kiss my butt. My food was cold. My friend paid 50 dollars for two tacos, and the chef thought the shrimp and grits was crab pasta. #what!!! I got 12 waters in two minutes and my plate was TAKEN from me like I was Liam neesons daughter. I ain't Eva comin back! #DONE read more

Just got the veggie burger through door dash with the sweet chipotle mash potatoes as a side, and it's so yummy! I love it! It stays put and it's delicious and nutritious (none of that fake meat stuff). definitely recommend. read more

Parking was easy to find, it was really clean and nice inside, and the customer service was good. The veggie minestrone soup was great. However, the turkey lettuce wraps were terrible. The Rivers Oaks Ruggles Green was a major loss when they decided to move out from their old location and into the Gables' bottom retail area. There were months and months of us saying how much we missed it, and then it finally reopened. The thing I love the most about Ruggles Green is their spaghetti squash options. They used to only have the Farmer's Market Spaghetti Squash - a pesto sauced spaghetti squash with various veggies (usually asparagus, mushrooms, carrots). Then they added the Spaghetti Squash Bolognase. Oh man, this is tasty. It's not vegetarian (or vegan, for that matter - the farmers market one is) but it's so delicious. You can tell the sauce took a while to develop - all the veggies were properly browned and the meat is cooked off so well. Both of these spaghetti squash dishes are even better reheated the next day - so if you don't finish all the food in one sitting (and it's a lot), don't worry about having issues reheating. The parking is a bit better than when it was at the other location, but if they add any more retail you can assume that the parking will only become terrible. read more
