Linden is phenomenal, I come in 3 times a week on my lunch break and he is always so pleasant!

I was surprised I didn't like it more - the French onion soup had too much mozzarella and there was no bread that evening! (the cup doesn't come with bread but I ordered it and they were out!). Also the crackers given with to compensate were stale. No one had anything to say about it. The most serious issue - because I took a friend as a nod to her birthday- was that the frosting on the chocolate cake tasted like it had been in the refrigerator uncovered. Delicious! I came here from out of town on a whim looking for gluten free eats, and boy howdy did I make a good decision. This place is delicious! They have stubborn soda on tap, free kimchi slaw and a great menu with rotating specials. Would come again if in area. read more

Really disappointed with take-out order. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with french fries and ice tea. The chicken salad sandwich had maybe 2 teaspoons of the chicken salad in the sandwich. The french fries were stone cold and greasy. The ice tea cup had maybe 8 ounces of tea; I guess I should have ordered the large tea. There was no ketchup or straw in the to-go bag. All of this for $14.00. This was my first and last time at this place. read more

Been a huge fan of all the ruggles locations for many years ! I'm so glad this opened back up on west Alabama since its closer to me than all the others. Seems like some of their old staff is back which is great because they are all super friendly the food is fresh, and of course delicious ! I'm a regular customer at this location and others. I have Celiac disease and they have many gluten-free options. Whenever I have ordered, the staff always asks if I NEED the food to be GF, and I say yes; I always ask that they use as many precautions as possible to prevent cross-contamination. I was shocked to learn a few days ago that the "gluten-free flatbread" is baked on the exact same unwashed brick surface as is the glutenous bread. The restaurant takes zero precautions to prevent cross-contamination. I think it's extremely dishonest to represent this bread as "gluten-free". It's DANGEROUS for people like me. I've contacted Ruggles Green and am waiting to hear from them on this, but I think other people need to know that the flatbread is not safe, and really the entire menu should not be trusted. read more

We are in town visiting friends and they brought us and our kids here for lunch. Hands down the best meal we have had here! I wish this place existed in Boston where we are from. We sampled salads, burgers, pizza, dessert and everything was spectacular and the service was incredible too! Restaurant is also a great space. The manager Nader was warm and welcoming. Had the southwest chicken pasta from door dash. I subbed the quinoa noodles for whole wheat spaghetti. Didn't like it much. It felt like a lot of ingredients tossed in that didn't really come together as one. Sum of the parts were greater than the dish as a whole. Spaghetti was a bit under cooked. read more

Holy fly infestation Batman. Fruit flies were everywhere you turn and I don't mean one or two. Don't use the condiment bar just sayin. Parking situation is also annoying. It's an underground lot which you'll completely miss if you don't go slow enough. It wasn't all bad though, service was fabulous. The girl behind the counter took our large and complicated order flawlessly. We got our order fairly quick. Food was just ok but be prepared to swat those fruit flies away. read more

I am so glad Ruggles Green reopened in River Oaks and the current food is consistent with the old location. Awesome salads, weekly specials and my all-time favorite veggie burger. They can accommodate just about any food allergy, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable- considering the quality of ingredients used. My only complaint is the parking garage...very awkward parking, but that's not the restaurant's issue to deal with. Ruggles Green will definitely be a staple restaurant for me. read more

This location has the BEST spinach dip and bread pudding EVER!!! The employees were so considerate and kind. The location is beautiful and it is a great place to have a meal by yourself or with someone else. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone! read more

I have been wanting to try this place for some time! As They do not have one in the clearlake area and I had a class in the medical center so I figured I would try it! It smelled amazing as I walked in! All menu options looked delicious! I ordered, paid and went to fill my drink of water and put a lemon on it, they also had pickles and jalopenos out, and there was a baby roach (if it's a baby you know there's more where that one came from) on the counter.. By the tongs used to dispense the said items. I immediately told the employees and they didn't know what to say or do, they apologized. Proceeded to leave the said items on the counter (as far as I am concerned they should have been disposed) at this point I wasn't sure if I should stay or leave... i ordered the goat cheese salad with blackened chicken which was delicious. After I finished I went to the restroom...the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned for months!! Definitely will not be making a return.. I can't imagine the kitchen at this point. For an upper Kirby restaurant I expected more. Get to cleaning! read more

It's finally back!!!! My favorite go-to for fast, healthy and yummy food is back with a whole new look and best of all, ample parking. This place has the same management as the last location on west alabama and with it, the same, consistent, great food is back. No other ruggles location compares to this one. You must visit this one!!! Had fried fish tacos and goat cheese salad with grilled salmon. Topped it off with bread pudding. Unbelievably delicious!!!!! read more

Love this location. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it. What I love most about Ruggles Green is that their restaurants all share a commitment to quality, it is consistent between visits, and each restaurant has a little twist on the specials that are available. This location is no different. I love that since moving into the new venue down the road from the old River Oaks location, the parking situation has improved immensely. So same great food, but no headache for trying to get to it. Nearly the entire first floor is commercial parking so you'll be hard pressed to find yourself in a bind for parking. My fave is the salmon pasta (changes throughout the year, by just a few things) and the fish tacos (grilled!!). They also have a loyalty program too so you can stack up free rewards for eating awesome food. read more

I came here for lunch today because of all the positive reviews. I ordered the fish tacos with a side of vegetables. The tacos were full of everything but fish. I deconstructed one to see if any fish was actually in it. What I discovered were tidbits of fish that had not been cooked throughly. I moved on to the veggies. I soon discovered they were way past grilled, more like char-burnt. There were a few carrots I picked out that I could eat. I guess this restaurant is not for me. read more

Excellent service, fresh and delicious food, just can't go wrong at this place...I've never disappointed and I try something new every time. This week I had the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken instead of the tofu. Vegetables weren't over cooked, the dish was flavorful, and the noodles were perfect. Great job! read more

Nice venue. Good staff. Clean. Some of the food is not that great, though. And it is overpriced. I had a grilled chicken breast a la carte, and it was dry and chewy. Couldn't eat much of it. The chicken soup was disappointing, with undercooked vegetables and weak broth. On the other hand, the pizza was very good. My companions all seemed to enjoy their meal. But I struck out and since I paid for everyone, I do not have a fond memory of my experience. I thought the manager was pretty cute. read more

I have always been a fan of the different Ruggles establishments, but I really like this one a lot. Nice ambiance and decor. Cool light fixtures. Plenty of seating. I like the different seating options too (long family style tables, booths, small cafe type tables). The service is helpful and friendly. I've had several items (veggie wrap, veggie burger, kale salad) and have really enjoyed them. The friend I was with wanted to split the veggie wrap. I wouldn't have chosen it on my own, but I ended up really liking it! I'd order it again for sure. read more

In have order from Bellagreen thru Favor many times. Usually its good and only one other time was not good but did not complain. Well, my baked chicken was do overcooked it was not edible as well as the roasted veggies, I would have not accepted it if I were dining there. I did send in a complaint but no response in a week so I am posting here thinking maybe they will see it . read more

Love this place! Lots of good vegetarian options with pretty good sized portions! This is a casual style restaurant with less than casual prices (prices aren't terrible, though). Everything is made to order, but the food comes out pretty quickly. My favorites include the friend goat cheese and arugula salad, and the bread pudding! read more
