On June 5th, I called to schedule another appointment. After trying several times, my calls either went straight to voicemail or were abruptly disconnected. At first, I thought it was just technical difficulties -- but now it's clear: my number was likely flagged and deliberately avoided. When someone finally picked up, there was a delay, background chatter, and eventually I was told that Linh is now "uncomfortable" servicing me -- not because I was rude or inappropriate, but because I asked her to shape my nails. I was shocked. Shaping is a basic part of any nail service, and I only ever asked for adjustments when the nails were left too sharp or snagged on things. I've never been nasty, disrespectful, or difficult -- only a paying customer asking for the service to be done properly. What made the experience even worse was how dismissive the young lady on the phone was. When I tried to calmly explain my side, her response was, "I don't know what happened between you all." She cut me off, didn't even pretend to care, and never gave me the opportunity to express my perspective. It was completely one-sided. Today I went to this nail salon, I was the first one in the shop. I got a gel manicure something very simple. They have really bad service and on top of they can't do a simple gel manicure. You should appreciate all of your customers and treat them with respect no matter what service they're receiving. I came in to have my acrylic soaked off and then a manicure with a clear coat. I guess that wasn't worthy of decent service. I was bounced around to different technicians and left soaking in acetone so long that I had to go up to the front desk to request help. The technician who finally came over to finish the job, seemed highly annoyed and impatient - like I was inconveniencing her. When she started applying the clear coat immediately after cutting my nails, I told her I was also supposed to get a manicure. She was even more annoyed at the additional 30 seconds that she spent hurriedly cutting my cuticles - so rushed that she cut one too deep and it bled. A technician nearby could see my bewilderment and she tried to assist, asking what kind of mani I'd asked for. I didn't even know there were options. The other tech was long gone by that point. I'd been meaning to try this salon since they opened and that was my first time. I will never go back. The setup is nice but the service is awful. I have been to this location several times but after yesterday (4/29/24), never again!!! I initially went in for a take off + manicure gel (which didn't end up happening). The lady RIPED MY NAIL OFF. I could not believe that happened. It was so painful and bloody!! All I got was a "sorry" followed by "you only have to pay $5". Are you kidding me??!!! I was (and still am) in a lot of pain. However, this store has a policy that you have to pay a $3 fee to use your card for services. That's the reason why I took a star away. With a $100 fee...who carries this much cash around. it's an unfair practice and I think it's taking advantage of customers. what is the $3 fee for? I may consider a different salon next time. This place has awful customer service from the techs to the management. The tech who did my nails had long nails and she was hurting me when grabbing my fingers. Her nails kept going into my skin. I let her know and she told me I was too tensed and to relax. She continues to hurt by fingers with her nails. Long story short, her attitude was horrible and the management did nothing but talk to her in their language and said "what do you want me to do" very nasty. After I payed, she shoed me away with her hand. These people are not interested in you having a good experience, they only want your money. I got a gel manicure in preparation for a destination wedding in Mexico. I got my nails done on a Monday before my trip and by the end of the day on Wednesday when I arrived in Mexico, the gel on three of my fingers had lifted off. I wasn't going to attend the wedding with half done nails so I ended up having to peel all of the gel off, and it came off quite easily. I took photos with date and time stamps to show to them when I came back and they informed me that they would only be able to take 15-20% off my service because I did not come in the next day to have them repaired. I asked them how I could possibly do that from Mexico and they did not care. Horrible customer service and horrible service overall. I was never crazy about this place and this just sealed the deal. Sadly I feel like the way I was treated this past Friday evening called for this review I have to write . I have been a customer for many years and Im sad this happend over something like this. About 2 weeks ago I came in with my mother and we got our mani and pedis and mom decided she wanted all of her nails a different color (5) different colors. Really??? On a friday evening , holiday weekend too ? My bestie was a good sport and suggested a place in jenkingtown next to buckets where we could try . We were in luck because they took us right away and gave us warm hand massages , leg massages and back too! They had tons of opi colors and lots of options for designs . So thankful we got in and our nails and toes were so pretty. Im dissapointed how management & my nail tech at Bellagio nails & spa treated me ! They should have called me before this appointment to tell me they were not going to be able to service us before we got there . On a Tuesday afternoon, my mother and I just wanted pedicures. We called ahead and the front desk gave us a 15 minute window to arrive. The front desk person was very nice and accommodating. After we arrived my mother and I selected our nail polish colors we were shortly escorted to the pedicure chairs. Now I will point out that the salon "has" socially distanced chairs, every other chair has a sign on it. The sign side, not in these exact words, "Please do not sit here, social distance required". Something of the sort, you get my drift. They let my mom and I sit next to each other, weird, but okay. My mother got a traditional pedicure with an oil message and I got a gel pedicure. We both agreed after our services we have had waaaayyyyyyyg better pedicures for what we paid. Once I got home I was scraping a lot of excess gel from around the bed and sides of my toenails ( -__- REALLY?). There was an uneven coat of gel polish on most of toes and a week later I'm still getting off that excess gel off. Super, totally, honest feedback, YOUR'RE PAYING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT! This nail spa is discrimintory and unprofessional, they will not fix your nails if you are unsatisfied with the service nor will they compensate you. Furthermore, should you speak up and communicate dissatisfaction, they will then refuse to service you in the future. I asked for an overlay with pink acrylic which ive gotten more than several times prior, my specific nail tech was not in so i was serviced by someone else who decide to use dip powder to brush on my nails like acrylic and then lie to me about it. I explained that this was not what i asked for, i asked for them to be fixed to which i was refused and then i asked to be compensated which resulted in a 10% discount ($5) and ultimately being told they would no longer service me when i returned to have then fixed a week later. They are also unsanitary as a pedicure with caused a small rash on both my feet. They did not compensate or even offer a solution they just told me its probably an allergic reaction. So I left with my nails looking like this and realized 30 minutes later that this was unacceptable for 90$!! Especially when my fiancé told me he could have done a better job at painting my nails! I went back the next day to get it fixed. I sat and watched the man that :does check in push my ticket back every time someone would come in. I got up to ask what was going on, and he ignored me along with the other 4 people at the register. I asked again, they said something in they language, and took me back. Hello Mr. Nguyen, I am writing to express my great disappointment with the service, or their lack of, I should say. I have been a customer of your nail salon for several years now. Kevin was my nail tech during this time. I have had several problems with Kevin and remained a good paying w/ tip customer until yesterday. We went through the burning my cuticles stage, to him telling me I am too picky and not like his other customers and that makes him spend too much time with me when he is performing a service. I explained to Kevin that I haven't changed, nor will I. I don't pay for a service for him to provide what he wants me to have versus what I want. Kevin has become increasingly lazy and incompetent, his design technique is horrible and needs reinforcement and when you ask him for something or to fix a problem he replies I know what I'm doing. But I found myself back in a week to fix a nail because he refused to solidify the area when requested. This happened twice. That is a waste of my time and money. After our last meeting when he said I was too picky, he had the audacity to start talking to his neighbors about me while he was doing my nails and I told him to stop. This Friday I received a call from the front desk stating that Kevin can no longer provide a service to me 1 day before my appointment. I see Keving once a month. he had 28 days to contact me or tell me at that time and neither choice was exercised. I have talked with other clients of Kevin who are currently seeking another nail tech as well. I have encouraged them to put a comment and review Kevin's services online as well. I am not sure what is going on in his life, but he is the most unprofessional, lazy, narcissistic, incompetent nail tech I have ever met. We work in a society where a consumer pays for a service that they want, not the service someone wishes to provide them because that service provider has become complacent instead of working on their skills to provide a better service or experience. I have never been rude and disrespectful to Kevin so his comments and outright disrespect were unprovoked. I asked for your information before was ignored. I went on a Tuesday for an acrylic overlay REFILL* with a gel topcoat and a pedicure. My nails are not even long, mind you. It's a "pretty" salon, big columns, big pedicure chairs, but they're using fancy, uncomfortable and a little scary dining room table chairs for the nail stations and you can hardly fit your legs comfortably. Anyway, for all the "fanciness" the salon provides and the pricing, you'd think you'd be getting top tier service? No. I was charged $50 for the nails ALONE-- a refill mind you--no nail tips. My real nails with acrylic overlay, gel top coat And $35 for the pedi and I tipped well I went on a Tuesday night, the following day the gel is chipping and peeling on some fingers. I'm watching it. By Thursday morning, one of my fingers peeled completely. I was livid. I go in around 10am, I show them the issue, they say come back later we will fix for free. The man changed my polish, told me the brand they used prior was cheap so made me pick a new color under a different brand. (Mind you, I've never seen any of the brands they carry in any other nail salon. They have no Kiara Sky, no OPI, no ESSIE should've been the first red flag) They fixed it Thursday night at 6:30p. Friday by 4pm, there was a bubble in my pointer finger, it completely peeled off, I went back over there livid. $85 and $50 for the nails alone FOR THIS????? They offered to fix it again but I told them to keep it. I don't want them fixing anything--they refunded me for the nails.
