They do not take walk-ins, and their late policy is strict to the point of being unreasonable. I arrived at the 9-minute mark and was turned away, despite being told that 9 minutes is the cutoff. Instead of attempting to work with me or see if there was any flexibility, I was offered an appointment three hours later -- which obviously doesn't work for most people with busy schedules. There seems to be little effort to accommodate clients who are trying to make appointments work within real-life constraints. A bit of grace or customer-centered problem-solving would go a long way. What's frustrating is that the Moore location does not operate this way and has never made things this difficult. The difference in service between locations is noticeable. Unfortunately, based on multiple experiences, I won't be returning to the Norman location.

The best piece of advice I was given by one of the stylists there is that yes everyone is qualified to do anything you need but when setting up an appointment ask who would best fit your needs. So if you're a brunette looking to deepen your color and get a chop you definitely want to see Zach but if your a blonde who needs a touch up on highlights and is looking for a long tapered look, Jen's got your needs! So when setting up your next appointment don't be afraid to ask for the best fit! The Cut/Services: To sum it up in one word... Luxurious! I have never had a bad cut, color, or service here. Prices can be a little on the high side but you are paying for quality, I like to think of it as investing in myself. Even if you are just going in for a cut not only is your hair receiving nourishing Aveda products but at the bowl, they do warm facial towels to enhance the relaxation experience. I know it's hard to cut someone's hair for the first time but it wasn't anything like I wanted. I've had my share of bad cuts for sure and thank goodness my hair grows fast. It was way too short and the back of my hair was crooked, I looked like my hair was a bell. I ended up having to call my regular stylist (which was on vacation at the time I wanted a hair cut) and have her fix my hair. The price was a little too much for what I ended up with $96 and then I did a deep conditioning treatment which was another $15. I felt like she forgot about me in the bowl. And I tipped her $30 on top of that. Then had to pay my girl to fix it after all that. Still love the rosemary and mint shampoo but not the finished product. Lesson learned.
