I can't get enough of this place not only is the staff amazing but the chef here has the magic touch every time I have come he sees to amaze me with every dish he makes. If no one has come here differently recommended. Recently moved to the area from Chicago where mexican food is found everywhere. I didnt have high expectations for mexican food out here, but after trying a few different restaurants, i can say this place would give any joint in the city competition. I dont know enough about the area to comment on the location but they have drive through which I personally think is convenient and awesome. The food: the food was delicious. The chips were made fresh and were still warm when they got to the table. We were a group of 8 and ordered various meals, and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had Carne Asada tacos and Carnita tacos and while tacos de carne asada were good, the carnitas blew the carne asada out of the water. They had horchata which as also really good. The service was good, our waiter was the owners son and he was very polite and attentive. The food did take a little while to come out but at least I know they were making things fresh back there. I will definitely be coming back to this place for mexican food atleast once a week. read more

First time visit and will return. Let me start by mentioning the young gentleman that took and made my order (he drives the orange Camero) in the lot. He was by far the nicest, most polite restaurant worker I have ever encountered. A true asset that any restaurant would be lucky to have. I ordered the burrito lunch special. It came with fries. I asked for rice and beans instead and it was a $1 upcharge, but still a good deal at about $8. The buritto was a decent size and very tasty. Rice and beans average for any Mexican restaurant. Located where Dante's and Scooby's previously existed, all of Bella Vista's food is made fresh every day, and you can taste it! The food is very authentic, from the tacos to the burritos, to the tortas and tamales, This Mexican restaurant rivals El Molino in quality, and is one of the best-tasting in the area (and among most I've been to). The service was phenomenal. Bottomless complementary homemade chips and fresh salsa are served to dine-in customers, and your food brought to your table. Drink refills are offered and provided on a frequent basis. The atmosphere, a mixture of Mexican music and decorations, was relaxing. The portions are generous, with one burrito plenty to fill up a hungry customer. The prices are very reasonable, with tacos and tamales costing $2 each, tortas less than $6, and burritos less than $7 (side dish included). There are many other meal options, including, but not limited to: assorted appetizers, soups, chile rellenos, enchiladas, steak dishes, tacos, tamales, burritos, and more. The outside of the building isn't much to look at, but is extremely worth it when you step inside and try the food. I plan on making Bella Vista a regular stop for food when I'm in Algonquin! I live in wauconda and we have a place called burrito express that is simply amazing but I've passed this place a lot while working so thought I'd give it a try. I and a couple friends tried this place out for lunch. It is a smaller place with a breakfast and lunch feel to it. The wait staff was courteous and attentive. We got complimentary chips and salsa, it was very good. The chips were hot and the salsa tasty. We all had their tacos with different types of meats. The tacos were great. I will go to again. We just happened to see this place as we were driving by and decided to give it a try... it was great! Chips and salsa were great. My husband and I had enchiladas, and my parents both got the 3 taco meal. All delicious! The restaurant is dine-in and take-out. Definitely worth a try and budget friendly! I've driven past this place for years and I'm so glad I finally stopped in. I got food for the family to go. The staff was friendly, and I didn't have to wait long. After I got home I was please to have flautas that were still crunchy, and filled with moist chicken, and nachos that were loaded with goodies. The steak was so tender.
