I had a horrible experience in October. The day before my sisters wedding I went to get a manicure . I wasn't happy with it and I never complain. The lady doing the manicure ( I don't remember her name ) was so rude and said I'm a professional it's fine. She literally was going to argue me down about it. I just kept quiet and kept my professionalism. The owner said nothing and spoke in their language. I felt so disrespected. I will never go back there. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I had gone several times for lash extension. Bella was very nice but I was charged a different price every time I went. One visit black lash glue was dropped in my blonde hair which had to be cut out. I stopped going. I received a text message for a lash special so I decided to give it another try. After my lashes were done I was charged $40 MORE than the offer. I told Bella about the text and was informed I needed to tell her before my lashes were done that different lashes were used for the " special". I will not return. read more

I have been several times and the quality of their manicures and pedicures are too notch in a relaxing environment. It is great for bridal parties too because there is a hair salon downstairs as well. I live next door to this nail salon and have done manicures, pedicures, and eyebrows here for over 3 years. I come once every month, or at least every 2 months. The staff are always friendly and good at what they do. My daughter, who is 6, sometimes comes along with me and they are very sweet to her as well. We've never had to wait very long but appointments are always a good idea, especially on weekends. There's plenty of street parking within a block of the salon. I always feel really relaxed when I visit- the salon is pretty and always smells nice (not like nail polish) which is a huge plus for me. read more

I've been coming here for almost 3 years now. A few staff members have left and I miss them very much, but the staff in general are wonderful. The place is clean, and if you need a nice, relaxing mani or pedi, or both? This is the place for you. The services can take a little while, but to me, so worth it. I love taking my time. There are times when you walk in and there is no one else in the place, other times, there can be a wait. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Got "eyelash extension" which means they glue plastic lashes to your eyes. Not your eyelashes. My eyes were fine till I got home , 30 min later my eyes are inflamed and red . I called the salon telling them that I had caught an allergic reaction because they put glue on my skin . Found them on Groupon for their lashes and hated tgem...she was rough and the lashes are very hard and feel like plastic. Absolutely not worth $120 which is the normal price and certainly not worth the $60 on groupon. The lashes look fake compared to other places that use mink and silk for the,same price in the city. Waste of money. I give one star because,she was fast...but it is,a very subpar job for individual lashes they really need to improve the quality of the lashes if they are going to charge silk n mink prices they should use,silk and mink products instead of these synthetics with this thick glue. Eyelash BUST! I purchased a Groupon for eyelash extensions and was so disappointed. The lashes were plastic (hard) and looked so tacky (fake). I woke up the next day with pink eye in both eyes! DISGUSTING! I had to go to another salon to take them off and it took over an hour. The REAL PROFESSIONAL told me they'd put too much glue. I got there a few minutes before my appt. & sat down to wait since it was very busy. 3 women walked in almost 15 minutes after me & within 10 minutes, one of them sat down & started getting a pedicure. This was already 15 minutes after my appt. Then I had to go & put even more money in the meter since I didn't want to get a ticket. Was very unhappy with my experience at this salon today, and don't plan on going back. It was only my second time. I had an appointment and they made me wait over 15 minutes, without apology. Did not clean up the station where I sat after the person who was there before me. Not clean tools. Rushed through the manicure. Did not accept my coupon. Made me switch chairs in the middle of my massage, and didn't even make up for the time that I missed of my paid massage when they had me switching chairs during my paid ten minutes. Talked in another language to each other the whole time they were working on me. On top of that, no one helped me with my top coat or to help me get my jacket on. She didn't know that I could understand her and made nasty comments about my friend who was sitting next to me. We left in the middle of our pedicure. Oh Boy, I could't believe the other reviewers experiences who used their Groupons. I almost had to check to see if it was another salon with the same name, as my experience was so completely the opposite!! Using my Groupon is how I came across Bella nails and once I went there, "the rest was history" as they say. I LOVE this salon, and will never go any where else. I am so tired of the "ship them in-ship them out" nail salons and that is why I fell in love with this salon. I never have to wait for my appointment. When I come in, my family is always greeted by all staff in a warm and genuine way. We are never rushed while choosing our nail polish selection(which is something I really dislike in other places) and once the decision is made, the appointment begins. Spa is exactly the experience you have when you step into Bella's, from the small things like the color changing water swirling around the foot whirlpool to the sweet tea and massages they give you while you are having your manicure and/or drying your nails. These extras are all offered for FREE(although tipping would be a lovely gesture for the message). There are of course full service massages,(back, leg,etc.) and I like to make sure Hubby has a back massage while he is waiting for My daughter & I to have our manicure/pedicures. As for the nail tech being a "a towel washer?", not sure what that is about or how someone would guess that about another human being!! Actually that is kind of insulting. I happen to know that at least one technician is a former 20 year co-owner of a salon that had existed in lower Manhattan, but like so many businesses, suffered as a result of 9/11. EVERY technician that my 2 daughters and I have had any experience with were qualified,proud, and dignified professionals. I personally have Angie as my tech, and let me tell you, I am proud to recommend this Special & Fantastic woman to anyone. She is patient, meticulous, and doesn't send you out of the salon unless the work is done to perfection and I have had some unusual requests for how I would like my color done. In fact, they were the only salon I trusted to get us ready for my son's wedding in June. In conclusion, I am truly sorry that the two ladies who gave the poor reviews had such a negative experience. It is one of the places that I like to go to escape the stresses of the day and after a number of visits here, I would highly recommend that you ladies out there give Bella a try. The space is so clean and beautifully decorated. The people working there were very friendly, and the wax was great. Don't waste your time at this salon. This is one of the worst salons I have ever stepped foot in. I actually gave them a second chance which is so unlike me and I usually go with my gut feeling about these kinds of things. The first trip I they didn't have the gel to match the French manicure I always do on my hands (since my usual spot was booked and I had a party I had to find a place) even though I called and asked in advance and was told that they did. I ended up doing the SNS dip powder over my natural nails after they filed off the gel. The girl that did my nails was one of the rudest employees. When I told her how to shape my nails she said oh it doesn't look good that shape. In which my response was they're my fingers and I'm paying you to do my nails not to give me your opinion on what looks good to you. I'm the customer Idk but if that were me I wouldn't dare say that to someone. You like what you like and if you're paying for it they should do what you ask. When I got up to leave and mentioned it to the owner she did not seem to concerned that she had an unhappy customer at all. They knew how to take my money and not even offer a discount or an apology. I was not planning on going back but couldn't find another salon that had the SNS dip powder in the area. I took my mother in law to be with me and tried to see if the experience would be better this time. I should have followed my instincts. We had a 5pm appointment for dip powder color and she got regular mani and pedi. We did not get out of there till almost 8pm. They were so rude to the both of us and did not like that I pointed out all the faults on my nails. I was not going to leave and pay for something I wasn't happy with. The girl that did my nails the last time came over to help the owner and I told her I didn't want her to touch my nails and she had the nerve to say "omg we are supposed to close at 7 and it's almost 7" right in front of the Owner and the owner didn't flinch or say a word. I usually don't go this detail into things but I don't want someone else to go through what i experienced.
