She gave me a beautiful cut and the color is phenomenal! She kept me apprised while working her magic and she is so personable and a joy to be around. I'm new to town and was referred here by a friend to go see Ally, I was able to book an appointment pretty quickly as the stylist had a couple of options as far as availability goes. The salon is so nice and clean inside, I requested a blunt cut with face framing layers and Ally didn't disappoint! She was also super friendly and answered all of my questions even on recommendations for my current hair concerns regarding products to use. I went in to this salon with an appointment, waited an hour past my appointment time. That was the least of my troubles!! Angela was my stylist, I showed her a photo of the long dramatic bob I wanted. My hair was long when I went in so it was a cut that was totally achievable. The front was supposed to stay long to touch my collar bone, the back short and stacked. The stylist knew she messed up, stopped before my cut was even done, I had not said a word at this point. She got the owner to take over to try and salvage what was left of my hair!! The front of my hair now is barely below my jaw bone. NOT AT ALL WHAT I ASKED FOR OR SHOWED THEM. I told the owner the front was WAY shorter than I wanted and expressed I was not happy. THEY CHARGED ME FULL PRICE WHEN THEY KNEW THEY SCREWED IT UP!! The photos are the before, to show my hair was plenty long enough to get the cut I wanted, the black sweater pic is the cut I showed them I wanted and then the after pic of me to show that is NOT the cut I ended up with!! Gave 2 stars only because the owner was a nice person. NOT HAPPY!! read more

After years of driving to Houston for hair appointments, I was THRILLED to find an Aveda salon less than 20 minutes from home. Shelby Adaway has been taking care of my hair for the last year, and she always makes me look good. Whenever I want a change in cut or color, she listens and uses her knowledge to make it happen! The salon itself is cool - a nice converted old building with plenty of natural light. The staff are all friendly and helpful. There is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the vicinity so you can park and spend an afternoon of beauty and leisure. read more

I was in Lufkin last weekend for a wedding and came to Bella to get my hair curled. I walked in and thought the place was nice, but when I checked in for my appointment that I made a month before my experience quickly went south. First, the girl at the check in counter had no record of my appointment and had to walk around asking each stylist if they had a 3:00 appointment. After a few minutes she finally came back and said, "she's running about 30 minutes behind". I told her that I had a 5:00 wedding to go to and couldn't wait that long. She then went back to the stylist to chat, came back and said, "well what's the latest we can get to you?". I told her I still have to go back and get ready and that I made an appointment a month ago and confirmed last night that I would be there. She went back to the stylist and within a few minutes I was being seated in the chair. We started chit chatting and she commented on how soft my hair was. I told her thanks because I just had my hair colored. She then asked if I went to an Aveda Salon and when I said no she started picking apart my hair and said that whoever did my hair did a bad job because I still had roots and grey hair and that whatever highlights she did looked green. I sat in the chair and watched as she literally went through my hair like she found something gross in it. The only upside was that she finished my hair in 15 minutes, it looked good, and the curls lasted all night. If I ever find myself in need of hair service in Lufkin again I will not spend my money here. read more

Robert Fisher is great! The environment in the salon is very pleasant. Great wash basins for shampoos that are more comfortable - the stylist stands behind your head rather than being beside you/having to reach over you. It's a wonderful place! read more
