This company was recommended to me by an instructor at Oakton College after I had contacted the college to see if there were any classes that would be interested in converting my 50+ year old 8 mm films into DVD. She told me about this company and gave me their email address. I contacted them and received a prompt reply. I had stated that I didn't drive and lived in Des Plaines, and Steve (one of the owners) told me it was no problem - he could come to me as he's in the area once in awhile. Okay - let's cut to the chase. We set up a date and time a week hence. When he got to my house, we immediately hit it off. He's very personable and easy to talk to. We talked about the films I had, he looked them over, and quoted a price which I thought was extremely reasonable. So, I turned over the nine films, he refused a down payment and said he'd collect when he returned the films and, 10 days later, I had my DVD. He stayed to watch it with me to make sure I was happy with it - and I absolutely was. He had even attempted to put the films in some sort of chronological order (my mother hadn't dated them, just noted who was on each roll of film) and did a pretty good job. I had asked for three extra copies of the DVD for my kids, which he had done. I wrote him a check and assured him I would absolutely recommend AHOJ Productions. So here I am on Yelp doing just that.
