Completely and utterly disappointed. We paid for our raw data to be sent to us in a usb and we haven't heard from them in 3 months. They don't respond to any email, their phone number is disconnected. I've tried reaching them via social media and get automated responses. It's a lot of money to get subpar service. Mari Lindquist (primary contact person) and her team were exceptional from start to finish and I recommend Amor to anyone looking for exceptionally talented and professional videographers. I found Amor through instagram about a year prior to my wedding. I was living in California at the time and planning a Boston wedding so I relied on social media almost exclusively for my vendor research. In viewing their work on Instagram and Vimeo, I was immediately impressed with the quality of videos that clearly demonstrated their videographers and editors were experienced and skilled at their trade. Mari's response to my preliminary inquiry was concise and informative, which indicated to me that the company was reliable and expected the same from their clientele. On our wedding day, the Amor videographers were professional and executed their job to a "T". They captured all of the important moments of our big day without making their presence obvious or otherwise intrusive. My husband and I were OVERJOYED with the outcome of both the teaser and highlight reel. We gave Amor almost complete creative discretion to create the films (neither of us are particularly artistic or knowledgeable about film production). Going off of a questionnaire we had completed in advance of the wedding, as well as the raw footage itself, the Amor team produced a teaser and highlight reel that perfectly captured our personalities as well as the upbeat and modern vibe of our wedding day. I absolutely loved the music in the highlight reel (selected by Amor) and so impressed with how well the shots flowed with the song. Thank you to Amor in Motion for capturing our wedding day video and making our vision come true and better than we could've ever imagined! Their creative direction and engaging storytelling made it easy to choose them. We were specifically impressed with their transitions with matching the music and clips, along with the closeups, reactions, and emotions that they captured so effortlessly. We received so many comments from family and friends saying how much they enjoyed watching our video, saying how they felt like they were there that day (which was extra special for our loved ones who couldn't make it that day), and how it made them feel all kind of emotions (and even cry)! We selected them because of their unique direction in producing a fun and engaging video. Honestly, their work is nothing quite like what we've ever seen from all other companies. We didn't want to settle for a typical wedding day video with just a timeline of events. We particularly liked their editing style with creative transitions and cinematic scene cuts, which we felt keeps the audience interested and engaged, especially nowadays with everyone's short attention spans where it's too easy to just want to click or move on to the next thing. We originally had a limited videographer budget, but once we started researching more into different vendors and seeing all the same similar styles, we kept revisiting Amor In Motion's work and realized that their pricing was reasonable and comparative to others in the industry. Ultimately we chose them because we trusted that they'll be delivering a unique one-of-a-kind video that we'll always look back on with awe. Their editing offices are in Chicago, but they have videographers all over so ours was based locally in the Bay Area. Mari was our main POC in their office and from the get-go, she was always very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We had fun completing their video questionnaire (asked to complete before the wedding) and we could see the effort they put into making that document to get to know the couple and their style/likes/dislikes, so they could better prepare, film, and edit. Andrew and David were professional, kind, and attentive; and worked seamlessly with our photographer. We're fairly camera/video shy but we were always comfortable around them as they filmed as if they weren't even around so we felt completely natural. They were almost invisible (in a good way!) and even in our professional pictures and shared pictures from friends, we could barely notice them around, but they still managed to capture every scene perfectly without ever getting in the way. The editing team is also spectacular - they took all our comments into consideration and completed the videos earlier than expected. INCREDIBLE!!! Truly, amazing! They shot our wedding back in 2016 and recently reached out saying they still had our raw footage and wondered if we wanted them to make a documentary video. We had a hard time finding a videographer until we came across Amor in Motion. After looking at what felt like 50 vendors I narrowed it down to three to show my then fiance. With each video he basically said "sure, i don't really care, sounds good." Until I showed him Amor. When he saw their vids his jaw literally dropped and let out the longest "daaannnngg" I've ever heard, that's how we knew we found the one. We really loved how Karis really got to know us over the phone and how their questionnaire was so in depth in order to make the video unique to us and our personality. That's what really makes Amor stick out from the rest. They don't use a cookie cutter format. Every video is unique to each couple. We absolutely love how our video came out and couldn't be happier. We eloped and didn't tell our family until we got the video. It was the best reveal and we're currently getting lots of phone calls filled with happy tears. Everyone is floored by the video and even our friends in production were really impressed. All in all we highly recommend Amor. We were really sad and disappointed to receive our video. We reviewed so many videographers and were truly excited by their online portfolio. I requested that the video be shot in 4K but they assured me that "no one shoots entirely in 4K." I should've seen this as a red flag, but we persisted given how well-edited and eye-catching their portfolio is. On the day of the wedding, the filmmakers seemed professional and assured me that they would capture our special day well. When we received our video we were surprised to find that it was so awful. Firstly, our wedding took place on a bright day and in a heavily lit venue, but all the footage was dark and dreary and made it look like a thunderstorm was brewing in the background. They shot most of the footage with the light source behind the subject, creating a heavy shadow over our faces. Secondly, despite being shot primarily in 1080p with some 4K shots, the stark distortion in the edit was obvious and the 1080p images were noticeably pixelated. Thirdly, the audio was not captured well at all and none of the wedding ceremony or speeches were audible. In fact there was so much background noise that whatever was captured was also inaudible. Fourthly, there were many moments which were not captured. I remember specifically asking the cameraman: "did you get that shot? Because we can do it again." Despite being reassured that he "got the shot," there was no record of it when we reviewed the raw footage. We felt cheated overall because now that our wedding is over, there is no way for us to recreate those tender moments. Finally, they were VERY expensive, almost twice the price as conventional wedding videographers in the area. Their contract is written such that it absolves them of any issues if the customer is not satisfied. Overall, I would invest in someone who will film your wedding in 4K, and make sure everything is mic'd well. You can find someone to edit footage after it's captured but you can can capture lost tender moments after the day is over. read more

​I did a fair amount of research and calling around for pricing when it came to videography for my wedding day. It was one of my "splurge" items that I knew that I wanted to make sure was worth every penny. I have absolutely no regrets going with Amor in Motion, and I am beyond ecstatic about the work they've done with our highlights video. I wanted to wait on writing this review until after I saw the finished product, so you are all getting a pretty good overview of my experience from start to finish. Let's start at the beginning then: my initial inquiry email was responded ​to within 24 hours and she answered all my million questions. We also scheduled a Facetime video chat to "meet" each other and talk about our vision and how things worked. Karis is very friendly and responsive, and it a great production coordinator. Once we decided on a package, she gave us the timeline and sent us a link to a questionnaire when the time was right. It may seem like "homework", but you do need to go on their website and give them examples of some videos that you really loved. That way, their team can get an idea of what you're looking for with your video. I feel like I was pretty descriptive with what I wanted, because the video turned out exactly the way I wanted! The day of the wedding went very smoothly. Although Israel couldn't make it, we got Ryan and Sam, who were both wonderful to work with. They directed when they needed to, but pretty much stayed "out of the way" for the most part. Sometimes I forgot that they were around, they were like ninjas! They worked great with our photographer, which is something that everyone should definitely take into consideration when selecting these kind of creative vendors who have the very important job of capturing your special day. I can tell that they put a lot of thought into each shot and location and really tried to capture each moment with all my wants in mind. This is an incredibly talented, creative and attentive group of professionals who really put in the effort to give you that perfect end product to remember your wedding day. If you don't have a budget for videography, try try try your best to make it work! It's your big day, you will want to remember all those moments! Yes, photos can capture some awesome moments, but there's just something unparalleled about capturing the raw emotions of the day on video with music and sound and movement. The first thing I would have regretted after the wedding would have been not hiring videographers, especially Amor in Motion. Karis and Isra were wonderful to work with for our wedding videography. Karis was the quickest to respond to my emails out of all my vendors and was always so attentive to our needs. The day of the wedding, during all the chaos, Isra offered my now husband and his groomsmen a ride to the ceremony because the service they booked was unable to take them due to a flat tire! Throughout the day the two videographers were great and I was never even able to tell they were there. Our highlight video was just wonderful. "Amor In Motion" not only captured this commanding love in video, they captured our characters, our personality, our city and our loved ones. Anything that meant something to us in the wedding was captured!! They were so the perfect piece, it felt as if we had known them forever. The video was honestly perfect. Sorry for getting carried away, watching the video makes me relive that day. Each clip in the video matched with each note in the song that we chose. As an artist in music, I know very well that the lyrics have to complement the instrumental in order to make in a great song. Al Greens "Love and Happiness" for example, or Adele's "Rolling in the Deep". Videography is an art as well and these guys definitely know what they are doing. We are still impressed every time we watch it. The shots were dramatic when they needed to be and dynamic at the right parts as well. Everyone we know said they watched it over and over again. To say that they accomplished the task is an understatement. I suggest anyone getting married to strongly consider "Amor in Motion" as an element to the day you will never forget. Then again, considering we all get old and forget things THE WEDDING VIDEO IS A MUST!!!! I cannot say enough great things about Amor in Motion! Israel is extremely talented, very reliable and an absolute joy to work with. We actually hired a different videographer at first, but he was so unresponsive in the days leading up to the wedding, that I became nervous and instead went with Amor in Motion. Since it was a last minute change, I realized on my wedding day that I hadn't even confirmed what time the videographers would show up! I was unable to locate their number to call, but sure enough, they showed up before I even expected them! Throughout the entire day, Israel captured so many clever and unique shots. Usually when photographers and videographers film a wedding in our church for the first time, it tends to be overwhelming and they need lots of direction. Well, as you guessed, I didn't have a chance to go over anything with them beforehand, but it turns out they didn't even need it! They were so professional and knew exactly how to handle this new situation. Now to the best part...the highlight film. I'm completely blown away at how beautiful it turned out! Like I said, Israel is extremely talented!! It turned out so much better than I could've imagined. I recently got the proof for my Amor in Motion video, and my responding email can be summed up pretty simply with an "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" It's beautiful. And while Amor is the sort of vendor I distinctly enjoyed having around on my wedding day (so kind, friendly and genuine!), I was amazed to see so many glorious, stolen moments were captured, in a ninja-like fashion. Moments I remember being important, without knowing they were also being filmed! But the true greatness of my personalized video does not lie in separate, well-captured moments. What is really special is that the video exactly reflects how the whole day felt. Truly. I think it takes a lot of heart to edit so instinctively - and Amor is true to its namesake here. I'll start by saying I do not usually write reviews, however, our experience with Amor in Motion was so great I wanted to give my thoughts to any bride or groom out there considering hiring a videographer. My wife and I hired Amor in Motion to shoot our wedding over Memorial Day weekend and we couldn't be happier with our decision. From start to finish, Isra and his team were professional, kind and easy going and willing to really work with us on what we wanted from our video. The finished product is more amazing than we thought possible. The Amor in Motion team is extremely talented and we cannot say enough positive things about them. Planning - Isra set up a meeting with us to talk through the details of the day and get a feel for what we hoped to capture from our video. He was very interested in making it our own personal creation and getting the shots the wanted. Isra and Karis are so nice and personable that it's made this process really easy for us. Wedding day - Isra and his team showed up on time and started shooting with little input or instruction from us. They were not at all intrusive and seemed to always be there for the important moments. They did a wonderful job of capturing the feel of the day. The team is very creative and talented. They improvised in the moment and filmed very candid shots of us. Highlight film - Watching the film for the first time, we were truly taken aback at how great it was. Our family and friends have cried watching it. It is so well done and creatively put together and gives an overall picture of the day in just a few minutes of the song (which we worked closely with Isra to choose). The highlight video really shows the love and fun of the day and it is something we will always have to remember the day going forward. Mari and Karis were very thorough in helping us choose our package. They saw our vision and made it come to life. The day of team was on it from start to finish. We got married on February 1st, 2014 (for those who weren't in Chicago, it snowed a lot that morning). Israel and Tim were on time and they did great working with the weather- my husband and I had the perfect winter wedding! They were very professional and worked great with the photographers we hired to get shots of my husband and I. They were very easy going with where we wanted to go to take photos and worked well with each location! They were great at being prepared and giving directions to make us look our best so we had very little thinking/preparing to do, which, with the hectic nature of the day was a great relief! Post-wedding, they worked with us to get the video to be perfect! They worked with us to choose the perfect song for our video, and then did a great job editing the highlight video! I love watching our video over and over! All our wedding planing was done via phone/online, since we live in CA. From flowers to cake most things were done never meeting the vendor in person. A wedding video was not something we wanted in the beginning but we are so glad we did it, I kinda had this tacky wedding video in mind and the last thing I wanted was one of my own. I stumbled on Amor in Motion via Knot and fell in love with Matt & Lacy's highlight video. Love their style: young, fresh with lots of creative ideas and the quality is amazing. PHENOMENAL I wasn't even going to have a videographer for our wedding. A friend suggested it to me because it was one of her regrets. So I started looking in to it. I was planning our wedding from Texas, and we were to get married in Chicago. I went to "wedding wire" to find some options. I probably looked at three other companies before I found Amor in Motion. Immediately I loved their style. I contacted them right away to see if they had our date available. Karis was a pleasure to work with and very flexible with us because we needed more hours than the average wedding. During a visit to Chicago we got to meet Isra and get to know him. He asked some very key questions to make sure that the style of our video was exactly what we wanted. He was extremely personable, attentive and genuine. When our big day came, I can't say enough good things about this team. They caught all the moments that we wanted, but were never in the way. They were as excited as us, and just as happy as our guests! And then we got the video..... The video FAAAARRRRR exceeds any expectations I had of what it would be. It's incredible!!! It captures my husband and I so perfectly and so many people have actually said to us that they "literally feel the love coming out of the video." That's all we wanted. We got that and then some! We got something that was creative, surreal, a little edgy, emotional, captivating. The way this whole team collaborates is awesome. So much behind the scenes editing, and music. This review is nothing compared to the amazing films they make. I found Amor on The Knot and as soon as I saw a few films on their Vimeo page, I WAS HOOKED! If I could cry watching other couple's films, whom I obviously didn't know, I had to have them for my own wedding!! From planning to the final details, Karis was absolutely amazing at getting everything organized so smoothly. We had family coming from out of the country that only spoke Spanish and I asked Karis if it would be possible to have a Spanish speaking cinematographer for the day of, and she was able to send her fabulous husband Isra and Edgar. Isra was INCREDIBLE. Isra's personality and the way he made us feel so comfortable throughout the day just made everything so exciting! He has amazing vision and style. When we started planning our wedding, one of my friends mentioned that her biggest regret from her own wedding was not hiring a videographer. We weren't planning to go with a videographer, but after seeing another friend's wedding video, we decided it would be worth it for us. We started researching online and found Amor in Motion on Wedding Wire. After checking out their videos, we knew we wanted to go with them. Karis was so great at answering all of our questions and was quick to respond to us whenever we needed anything. Israel was awesome and I felt like he really listened to our requests to make our wedding day video super special for us. Xavier and Jud were our videographers the day of and they were so polite and courteous. They let us do our thing, and captured all the really personal moments between us and our family and friends without us even realizing they were doing so! They caught moments that can't be reproduced in still photographs. I can't tell you how many times I've cried just watching our video!
