Anyway, here it is: Erica was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding officiant. From the get-go she was warm and inviting (and prompt!), and she wholeheartedly encouraged me and my wife to make our wedding our own, listening to our love story and adding details from it to her part of the ceremony. She provided an exhaustive list of vows to choose from and personalize, and was open to us writing our own if that's what we wanted. Anytime we interacted, she radiated with positive energy and encouragement of my wife's individuality as a bride (she wore a red dress...), as if our wedding were the most special thing on earth, and important. She checked in regularly as the date approached, which made us feel like we could count on her. Plus, she knows her stuff (e.g., "Hey, don't forget to get a marriage license within X number of days of the wedding, look at each other--not me--when you're saying your vows, etc etc). She's just a lovely, kickass person, and I hope we stay in touch.

I am incredibly shy but I found it so easy to open up to Erica and she was mindful of this with regards to ceremony planning as well. Our ceremony was personal, meaningful, short, and everything we could have asked for plus somethings we would have never even thought to ask for! My husband and I both come from families deeply rooted in the Catholic faith. We were nervous about how our famillies would feel about our non-religious wedding but everyone was both touched and impressed by how it turned out. I will be forever grateful to Erica for playing such an integral role in our special day.

Stu and the band absolutely rocked, and our friends and family, many of whom are musicians, were so impressed! Hello, Yelp community!…read more We had Stu Hirsh Orchestra for our wedding in December 2010 and they were just totally awesome. Many of our guests--young and old--complimented them and how they set an awesome stage for the wedding reception. First of all, Stu is great to work with to get every detail set before your event so you have nothing to worry about on the big day. My mom and I met with him multiple times and he absorbed all of our MANY special requests and suggestions. Stu listened and either accepted them or explained why some of them might not work, based on his experience. (He was right for all of them!) He tailored the quantity of performers based on our budget and the size of the venue and ensured that they would play at comfortable loudness levels and at the appropriate tones for the different parts of the wedding (dinner, early dancing, later dancing). Stu made some awesome suggestions of music types and how and when to play them. He explained that the band has multiple singers who excel at different types of songs. Also, this group has been playing together for so long that they know each others' tendencies and strengths and play off of them. Stu said that he's like a football team quarterback and the other band mates are like the football team. Stu makes the calls and the team knows exactly what to do, flawlessly. And on the big day, that's exactly what happened. On the wedding day, Stu and the band were timely, dressed to the nines and were 100% professional for the entire event. They have an awesome male singer with a voice similar to Michael Jackson who was the hit of the wedding. His range and style was a big talking point of the dance floor. The band did an awesome mix of slow and fast dancing that kept the wedding guests happy and dancing through the entire night without any of the awkward transitions that you sometimes find with DJs. One of the things that I really dislike about wedding DJs is when they force people to dance when they don't want to dance. Stu and his crew were exactly the opposite. They never asked people to come dance ("all the ladies on the dance floor!!" or "Where's the bride? get her out here!!" NONE of that). The band enticed people to join the dance floor because they played so well and because the guests who were dancing were clearly having a great time. Those who don't prefer to dance could listen to the music and watch comfortably from their chairs. I could not review Stu Hirsh Orchestra any higher. We loved the music planning before the wedding and the reception was terrific, much due to the excellence of Stu and his team. You'd be lucky to have Stu at your event too. Emily Homewood, IL

From start to finish, Jessi, Colin and Max went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the recording process was seamless and professional. First and foremost, the studio itself was top-notch. They have an amazing amount of options of microphones to choose from, I went with a Sennheiser 416. Additionally, the studio's acoustics were excellent, providing a clean and crisp sound without any unwanted background noise, we used studio A mostly. The entire recording process was enjoyable and stress-free, I was there a lot so that's saying something- Overall I can't recomend them enough. If you're looking for a recording studio that will deliver then make sure you work with them.

They did a great job recording, but sent us home with only the rough cut, and no finished mixes. They claimed that it took a lot of effort to set up for a multi-instrument band and they had to bring in extra help, thus extra cost. They had no more money or time to finish the mixes. Max had the audacity to say that each song would be at least another $350 to finish, even though he promised us finished mixes when we spoke on the phone. I feel that this was unscrupulous practice. Make sure you get your promises in writing from Max, or he may just try to swindle you.

I found Julia online while searching for professional photographers in Chicago. And after having…read moreher shoot my mom's wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, I have to say she was the absolute best to work with and a pleasure to be around. Let me start by saying that if you do alot of hunting on Yelp like I did, and look for pro photographers with a lot of experience, you will be hard-pressed to find one as flexible and affordable as Julia. She was recommended to me by another pro photographer. Though her Yelp profile is new, she's been around and established for years on her website YouMePhotography.com . After seeing her impressive portfolio and her rates, I knew I wanted to book her for the event. Julia shot the wedding of John and Sofia on April 25th, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago. She was the type of photographer who was very conscious of capturing genuine and intimate moments as well as the prepared ones. And she approached it all with a big smile and knew how to make people feel comfortable and get the best out a picture be it a solo pose, couple shot, or pictures with the whole family. I've seen photographers before who just roll through a few planned poses, take the pics, and call it a day, but not Julia, she was dynamic, took both spontaneous photos and knew how to direct the most flattering ones, and adapted to the ever-changing settings and situation. My favorite part of all was where Julia had already researched around the hotel and found nearby within walking distance, a beautiful castle-esque locale complete with courtyard and garden. But it turned out to be 40 some degrees outside and windy that day so she asked the bride and groom if they still wanted to go to there or she could find something else on the spot. But they were up for it and what resulted were the most beautiful shots from the wedding with great direction to make those special moments happen. All in all 11/10. I will definitely be booking Julia again for future events in Chicago.
