My now-husband and I attended a wedding a few years ago that had Fotio as their photo booth, and after seeing the quality of photos they produced, we knew we had to have them at our wedding when the time came. Fast forward a couple of years to when we started planning our wedding, and Fotio was the first vendor we hired, and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. They were always quick to respond to emails, and were already familiar with our venue (Room 1520), so they knew exactly where and how to set up in that space. And they even threw in the use of their props for free when we offered to pay in cash. A photo booth was barely on my radar when I started to look at wedding vendors, but after seeing Fotio's unique, vintage-inspired setup at the Randolph Street Market last year, we immediately booked them for our August 21 wedding at the Adler Planetarium. They were very friendly, responsive, and so easy to work with from start to finish - and totally gay friendly, which is always a concern with wedding vendors! We wanted to provide our own travel-themed backdrop, and when the oversized map we ordered for the purpose was too reflective in test shots, we bought a new map at Salvage One and Fotio picked it up from the store and did new test shots for us within a week of the event. On the night of, they brought their own travel-themed props such as a telescope, motorcycle goggles, and a statue of a tiger (that was big hit with our guests). All of the items were well-chosen and unique and produced awesome photos. We couldn't be happier with the results. As soon as the pictures went up on Facebook the morning after the event, half our guests changed their profile and cover photos. The lighting and black and white processing make everyone look their absolute best. I'm extremely self-conscious and even I found myself taking pictures I never would have been comfortable with in a normal photo booth, and they look wonderful! Our guests may have liked the food, the event space, the music, etc.... but all anybody is talking about is the photobooth! If you're looking for a non-traditional photobooth, like we were -- this is your place. There is no actual "booth," so you have tons of space and can fit a lot of people into a photo (we have some where there were 15 or so cousins crammed in and they're fabulous pictures). The Fotio staff were very welcoming and made the photobooth the place to be throughout the entire evening. The quality of the photos is wonderful -- there is so much depth, and everybody looks fantastic in that lighting. Fotio also sent us a thumb drive with various versions of the photos, including color versions. The photos were all uploaded to Facebook by the next morning, so people were already going through and tagging themselves and their friends -- just in time for us to start skimming through them and laughing at our morning-after brunch. I had Fotio at my wedding last weekend and couldn't be happier with that decision. In fact, it was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! Fotio not only takes amazing pictures, but they also provide a form of entertainment. For guests who may not like dancing or need a break from eating and drinking, it's a great activity. We received a jump drive from Fotio-- a very cute bamboo one to boot -- immediately following their session and then the next day all the pictures were on their site and Facebook. We had 670 photos in our album, and I have looked through them all at least three times. I will also say that I am very happy with our decision to use a white back drop. First off, the entire process of initially meeting with Nick (the owner), signing a contract, paying the deposit and paying the balance was seamless. We never encountered any issues leading up to the wedding day. Nick was even nice enough to attend our final walk through with our planners and caterer at the venue 2 days before the wedding. Hands down this is the best photo experience I've ever had at a wedding. It was so easy and accessible and so many pictures are taken in a short amount of time. Nick himself was attending the Fotio all night snapping pictures like a mad man and even getting involved in a few himself. I don't think there was a moment where there wasn't a line of people wanting to take their pictures next. The quality of the pictures cannot be topped.
