I reached out literally at 12 weeks pregnant to book a mini maternity shoot and newborn shoot. I have seen her work and just LOVED it. She was delightful to communicate with and I found her pre-photo shoot questionnaire and PDF with suggestions SO helpful! We had our mini maternity shoot scheduled for early June (36 weeks preg) with my hubby and two other sons. However, at 20 weeks we found out our third son would be born with a birth defect which made me high risk for pre-term labor. She was super accommodating and moved our shoot two weeks earlier. The week of the shoot I emailed to ask about outfits. She gave me her phone number, and I texted her actually what I had picked out for the kids, myself and hubby. She helped pick the best shirt options for them via text, and then when I said I was looking for a little vest over my dress offered to bring and let me borrow one of hers!!! I mean come on, this is service! The night of the mini maternity shoot we drove 25 min to meet her (after kids dinner and at their usual bedtime). I was worried the boys (newly 3 and 17 months) would be a disaster since it was late for them. But Robin is SOOOO easy going and personable, they just loved her! She let the kids click a button on her camera inbetween changing locations which they loved. My three year old still calls her "silly Robin!" Speaking of easy going, my hubby can be super awkward with photographers but she was so easy to work with even he forgot this was a photo shoot. The light was amazing and she let the kids run around when they needed to. We were done in 35 minutes from start to finish. I was baffled by how quickly she got photos, and was SO impressed with what she got. She helps pose but shoots you when you are being totally real (see the pic with my 3yos head in between hubbys legs). Her photos with real lighting and real laughs are just incredible! Here we are, June 20th, and I'm still pregnant (who would have thought!!!) and I just cant wait to meet our new son and get his newborn photos done with her. I plan to use her for all of our family photo shoots from here on out. Amazing person, amazing work, and super fast turn around time!

I visited their office in Northbrook and was shown to their super cool movie theater room. There Jeff explained the many options for videography and had so many video examples to show. One of the options was a cinema style video, which is basically creating a movie out of someone's bar-mitzvah. The videos were so amazing that I found myself glued to the stories of random 13 year old's special days and when Jeff turned one off after a few min I was bummed I wouldn't find out what happened to Drew! Drew's bar-mitzvah kept me as engaged as some of my favorite TV shows! They also take photo montages to the next level. Jeff showed one example of an art themed bat-mitzvah where the young artist basically walked thru one of her paintings into a gallery of all of her art. I was sold and came home brainstorming many ideas for what we can do for my daughter's montage in a few years. Xpress was the only video production company I looked at and I immediately decided they were the one.
