So I've been going to Bella pasta for over a year. First time I went I was addicted to the sauce that comes with the filet mignon. The mushrooms and onions and sauce are delicious. I just went for my bday with my hubby and two daughters and ordered the filet mignon. I hadn't eaten all day and was so excited to have this. When the waitress brings my plate it's completely covered in this lumpy looking sauce that resembled brown gravy. I was immediately like woah I hope this tastes right. Of course it didn't taste right so I let the waitress know. When she came back with "new" plate, it was the same piece of meat which I ordered medium rare, with the sauce cooked off so it was more well done now and the exact same sauce in a dish on the side. So when I told the waitress that I always get this dish and it doesn't taste right she tells me she doesn't know what to tell me because they've had the same cooks for months. Wow. Then she doesn't ask if there is something else I'd like instead she just walks away. This is my birthday and I was basically accused of lying. Then when she brings the check she still charged us for the filet mignon so my husband had to flag her down and have her fix that. Totally turned me off. Been there many times and never ever had an issue. Maybe consistency is key with whoever is cooking or maybe train waitresses on how to better handle situation so customer doesn't go home hungry and pissed not wanting to ever go back. Sucks because this was our go to for date nights but I refuse to go back now read more

We order from here all the time. We get takeout because we have two young ones at home under 3 so we can't really sit down. We typically get Chicken French but have also ordered chicken parm. It is incredible every time. We have never been disappointed. There are a few Italian places to choose from in the area, but Bella Pasta has been the most consistent for us. Ok, so I usually don't eat Italian out, but when I do it's at this one well know eatery! Tonight I wanted to try something new. So off we go to Bella Pasta, I was really craving for linguine and white clam sauce. This place has been around for some time and it did not disappoint! I ordered the clam sauce and it was nicely flavored with a good amount of clams. Portion size was right on, I planned on saving some for the next day but it was so good I ate the whole dinner! My wife got the eggplant Parmesan and she said it was equally delicious with a nice flavoring to the sauce. Both meals came with bread and either soup or salad. We both got salad and it was good, the bread was yummy and warm. To top it off we split a piece of lemon berry cake. It was a good sized piece which was perfect for sharing and delicious. Overall this is a great place and we look forward to going again and trying something different. read more

Just had dinner here for 50th HS reunion. Buffet dinner, food tasted okay but was all cold! Pasta, eggplant, sausage etc. should have been HOT. This was not meant to be a cold dinner! One week ago I hosted a Bridal Shower for my daughter in law to be . We had about 30 guests there and it was wonderful. The food was so great , Chicken French , Eggplant Parm , Greens and Beans , Roast Beef and more. The waitress was very good. She was very attentive to are needs. The manager Randy is so kind . Ordered a battered fish fry, chicken French and artichokes French for take out. Bill was nearly $60. The food was ready when promised. The fish was well cooked but lacked seasoning; the fries were limp and soggy. Surprisingly, the chicken French others raved about had a bitter aftertaste (possibly caused by using lemon slices instead of lemon juice, and thereby integrating the taste of the pith, the white, bitter part of the peel). The chicken breast itself was encased in tasteless batter, thin, overcooked, and dry (this usually happens when it's made in advance and then re-heated in the sauce at the time of order). The artichokes French were tasteless, gummy, and served over spaghetti swimming in a thin, bitter broth (I ate 3 artichokes, and threw it all out). The highlight and perhaps saving grace of the entire meal was the red sauce on the otherwise limp side of angel hair. It tasted fresh and bright, smooth and silky, just like my Mom used to make in Italy, where I grew up. Overall, other than the abysmal artichokes French, the food was not "bad", it just lacked seasoning, was overcooked, and slightly overpriced. Sadly, most restaurants in Rochester still fail to understand that taste and texture are the key to repeat customers, not doggy bag worthy portions of mediocre food. Besides, huge portions + doggy bags cost the restaurant just as much if not more than smaller portions of well seasoned, impeccably cooked food. Italian cuisine is all about fresh, simple ingredients, perfectly seasoned, cooked with great care. It's all about quality over quantity. It's memorable food. I can't say that about our first experience with Bella Pasta, but I'll give it a second chance. The red sauce was good, and the pizza looks good, so we'll try that next... read more

Absolutely the best Chicken French in town, the Arancini croquettes are my personal favorite for an app. The only thing I would complain about is the lunch specials. Yeah its $10 but I ordered the French and I got one tiny piece of chicken and A ton of pasta, the proportion was off whilst my husband got two giant pieces of chicken on his parm which was the same price. Maybe the chef was having an off day. Still my favorite hands down. read more

If looking for authentic, home cooked Italian food, please go else where! Everything tastes fresh out of a box and into a microwave. This is by no means passable as good Italian food. Everything was bland and layered between over buttered, under salted and seasoned "sauces" that can not possibly be home made. Very disappointed, will most likely not be back. read more

I am an event specialist for a private Catholic, college-prep high school. This was the e-mail I just received from the reunion chairperson regarding Bella Pasta: A great time was had by all who came--given our last minute preparations, we received many compliments from everyone regarding organization, venue and especially the food. Given my background in catering, I was beyond impressed by our designated staff, and especially the quality of the food. Everything was fresh, hot and cooked perfectly (not an easy task when you're dealing with pasta for a crowd!). It meant a lot to me that Danny made a point of introducing himself and checking in along with Robby to make sure all was in order. Though we had a small representation of our class, everyone had a great time and many stayed on even after open bar was closed. I have very high standards when it comes to food--service, quality, etc., and Danny and his team did a fantastic job--please let him know I appreciate his culinary expertise!! read more

This pasta shop is just a wonderful taste of Italy in the heart of Greece. They couldn't have enhanced my customer experience any better by the way the waitress recommended entrees to the owner introducing himself personally. The dinner salad and house dressing could never be beat - FABULOUS. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the entrée. The red sauce is acidy and very bitter. I was unable to eat the dinner I chose. My dinner guest ordered a chicken dish that she said was quite tasty. She also had a side of pasta and the macaroni was over done, mushy and she also said that the red sauce was not good. So the bottom line is stick with a salad (the Italian bread they offer is to die for. That too was fabulous.) This place has the feel of a diner as far as interior goes. When we got there it was almost empty, except one group. We looked at the menu and saw good stuff, but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have as many pasta items on the lunch menu. But to my pleasant surprise when I asked our nice server if they could make me some fettuccine alfredo, that wasn't on the lunch menu, she said yes, no problem! But only had linguine pasta, which was fine! And I asked for a sausage on it, no problem. Francesca, our server did a great job on trying to please us. The alfredo was so delicious too! My partner agreed that his food was awesome too (speghetti and meatball). And I have to agree his food was delish, also. And he doesn't particularly like alfredo covered pasta, but loved mine. So that says alot! My left over alfredo pasta sat in our fridge at home for 3 days. And on that 3rd day, I popped it into the microwave and expected it to come out all melted and not good. Well, it didn't and tasted and looked as good as it did when it was served fresh. I was amazed at how well it kept and everything being a leftover sitting there in my fridge! The only thing I would like to suggest, is to have the lunch menu with the same offerings as the dinner menu. Good job guys! read more

We ordered a few steaks and they were all under cooked. Well done steak came out barely rare and after being sent back and microwaved twice. The owner decided to come to the table and tell us how steaks are "meant" to be cooked. I am sorry I like.my steaks the way I do and a filet shouldn't be cooked in a microwave Will not be returning . read more

I had small reception buffet I chose this restaurant because I go there often and usually have a nice meal. There were 35 people in our party The room we were in was so small we were squeezed in. No one had room to visit except at front of room where food was. The food was ok not as good as the food I usually get there. The eggplant was dry and had no sauce on second layer . Our waitress was very friendly and cleared our plates in timely matter. I was told someone would cut the cake for us. They did not. We were given styrofoam plates and plastic forks. For 35 people it cost us $930 including 6 bottles of wine. Not worth the buffet read more

I hit this place on a Friday night with my wife and a few of our friends for a bite to eat. When we arrived at 6:40 pm this place was mobbed and I was so glad I had taken the time to make a reservation that afternoon. We walked in and I was told immediately that our table was ready for us anytime we want to sit down. That made me feel like a diplomat or some kind of a movie star! Not! Every single table was full when we sat down and there had to be 20 people waiting. Our server was spot on with every single detail. Almost all of the dishes were very good. My wife had the escargot. It was very exceptional but had too much garlic for my taste. The baked Lasagna was marginally tasty but I think it may have been made much earlier in the day and might have been sitting out. There was a garlic veggie and pasta dish that was wonderful. There also was a huge steak dinner that left me feeling envious and licking my chops. I had the fish fry the size of a small whale and I could not have been any happier. The fish was breaded and cooked to perfection. It was moist, flaky, and a very fresh and tender piece of fish. It came with seasoned fries and cole slaw that were both very tasty and delicious. I would give my fish fry a perfect 10 rating. Every dish was enormous in size and it took a few doggies bags to get everything out of the place. These guys are missing a fifth star from me because the interior could use a little face lift but then again, sometimes it just is what is The bar service and the attention to detail with customer service went far and above what i would expect. They will definitely NOT be getting service from us again. This is a place we thought of highly... so highly, we would have family dinners/birthday celebrations and catering, or even take out from here all the time. We decided to use the large party room for a shower this weekend.. worst decision ever! We had made a meeting with them and went over all the details (from where each table would be, what would go on each table, how napkins would be..).. upon walking into the room, there was a huge Christmas tree that was NOT told to us would be there (we had a full party and it was quite inconvenient due to the space it took up) We paid $1 per linen napkin to ensure it was going to look nice and the napkins AND table clothes were completely wrinkled! None of the tables or set up were as we planned and discussed. There was tape on the windows and walls that were promised to us would be removed prior to our event. We were only able to get in an hour before our event and needless to say, that room needed a LOT more time to be worked on to even look decent.. We expressed our disappointment and we were pretty much told there was they could do... if it weren't for my family and close friends, I would've walked out! My family and friends did the best they could to pull everything together to get my "vision" somewhat in place.. The food was cold. The chairs were dirty. We got our bill at the end of the event and it was $300 more than expected.. we were told children would be half off and drinks (3 choices, which not to mention were not the ones we picked out) were included due to all the money we were putting into the event.. it was extremely embarrassing to host an event there that ended up like this. We put so much time and effort into planning and finding the perfect place for the event. This is NOT how it should of been. I would never recommend that place again and I'm sure none of the guests will return.. including us! read more

My fiancé & I came to Bella Pasta for the first time. We ordered the chicken French & the veal French. We happened to not care for it just because it wasn't our personal taste & we tried to politely convey that to our waitress Francesca. She was so sweet & asked us about it & at the same time Randy, one of the owners, walked by to check in. We as politely as possible said we just happened to not care for our meal & that we meant no disrespect & we still would pay for it & be on our way. But he absolutely refused to let us go without us being satisfied. He insisted on taking it off the bill & wanted us to order something else. He explained how they care more about the customers happiness than anything else. Then Danny one of the other owners & the chef came over & apologized & made sure we were happy. We cannot even explain how happy we were after this experience. It's so rare that you go somewhere & the owners care this much. Everyone was amazing. We will be back, for sure. Had our bowling banquet here last spring. They ran out of plates before our table was even called for the buffet. They ran out of meatballs and used the excuse you were only allowed 1 per person and some people took 2. The food was cold and terrible. I had never tried the location on w ridge road, so I was anxious to try the new location. We had a party of eight and called ahead for reservations. We were told no reservations. So we showed up and had drinks in the bar area while waiting. One and a half hour later we were seated at a table that was reserved for a party of 11 (this party insisted that they reserved the party room to which they were told that the party room costs 50.00 and wasn't requested upon reservation) After much confusion, and re-arranging, we were seated. The overall atmosphere seemed confused and unorganized. The waiter was very professional, and didn't ignore the fact that we had a long wait. He stepped right up to provide great service. Appetizers were tasty and all had nice presentation. Entrees not so much... I had the chicken french, which didnt really impress me much. It came off bland and rushed. I would be willing to give them another try. I think the potential is there. Once they get more organized on the front end, get adjusted to the larger space, and used to a higher volume of customers, the quality will improve. read more

Happy to see Bella Pasta found a new and much larger home. Went last night, now open 11 days, very busy. Nice bar to relax at while waiting for our table The wait and service was slow but I think this was to be expected as they certainly must have growing pains! A couple more "adjustment " weeks and this will be a 5 plus rating!! The staff was very friendly, outgoing and eager to please. The food was fabulous! 4 in our party and we were all very satisfied.The menu has expanded as well. Go with your patience and good company to spend time with and you will not be disappointed with your meal. They will do very well at this location. This will be a regular stop for us. read more

Lunch there today could not have been better. A friend and I enjoyed our meals immensely and she's Italian, so she knows her stuff when it comes to Italian food. We started out by sharing an order of Aroncini, which was a first for me. These are rice filled, deep fried dough balls that are breaded and deep fried and served with a wonderful sauce. Wow, are they ever good! I ordered my standby favorite of spaghetti and marinara with a meatball. If I was on death row, this would be my requested last meal. My friend had the Chicken French on a bed of pasta. Except that her personal taste would have included a tad more sherry, she said it was delicious. The server was friendly and enthusiastic and was training a new waitress, so with two of them waiting on us, the service was excellent. I think the place could use some fresh decor and the carpeting looked well worn, but that wouldn't stop me from visiting again and often. read more

Italian themed restaurant in Greece. Large bar that was filled with a mix of middle age and up the whole time we were there. Free popcorn and Quick Draw. Very comfortable atmosphere. We were seated where we requested opposite the bar. Waitress was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu and specials, but felt a little rushed through the whole dinner. Fried Calamari was delicious with a chunky marinara. Salads were fresh. Bread on the table was fresh and soft in the middle with a nice chewy crust. We both ordered Haddock French. One with a red sauced pasta on the side and mine was over capellini. Partners was literally swimming in what they called a French sauce. I don't know what they used to make this but it was way off. Brown in color with a strange after taste. I couldn't figure out what was or wasn't in it. That said all portions were generous and pricing was very reasonable. I would go back but never order the French again. read more

Had dinner in early Feb 2017 as part of a friend's birthday celebration. Had white wine from the bar a cost was reasonable. Ordered the chicken French and it was fairly decent. I was not wowed by the taste. Adequate portion and Price was reasonable. Our server Christie was fantastic and the owner Randy stopped by table to make sure all was well. Nice touch. I went here recently to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The atmosphere of the place is okay. Clean and seating was good but the space didn't feel very intimate. The food itself wasn't bad. The bread was good and fresh. If your into appetizers/salads I highly recommend the house salad. They hand-make the balsamic vinaigrette that they use in the salad which is PHENOMENAL. As for the food itself, I chose to make my own pasta dish. I had the spaghetti with marinara and two meatballs. The sauce was too liquidy and not think enough. The pasta was nothing special. The meatballs were good but I feel like I've tasted better. My boyfriend also made his own with penne, vodka sauce, meatballs. He thought the sauce was extremely heavy since they added cheese to it (they also added cheese to mine which I was not happy about since I don't like cheese on my pasta). He agreed that it was good but neither of us were blown away. For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was good but it was too cold so it did not have that nice rich texture that cakes are loved for. Service was fine, we were attended to. My boyfriend would probably complain that our water glasses were not filled as often as he would have liked but this not a problem for me really.
