I visited this salon for the first time while running errands nearby, but so I got in quickly, but the technician wasn't a good listener. I asked for long nails that were also uniform, but she didn't get that. The polish seemed old, so I needed extra coats, which meant a long dry time, and still, some nails got messed up. When I told her, she just smiled and walked away. The lady at the front desk didn't even ask how everything was, which was really disappointing. And on top of that, there was a three-minute massage included, but it was probably the worst hand massage I've ever had--she just kept going over my fingers again and again instead of massaging my hands or arms. This experience was a waste of time and money, and now I have nails I need to fix. P.S. I typed this earlier, and by the time I got home 45 minutes later and started opening my mail, my nails were completely ruined. This is officially the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I've never left a 1-star review before, but this is a first. I wouldn't recommend this local salon to anyone, or at least the technician I had. I am glad I got her name before I left too. read more

Megan is amazing and always shapes my nails exactly how I like them! She is incredibly detailed, friendly, and goes above and beyond. My nails have been growing healthily since I've been seeing her. I refuse to go anywhere else to get my manicure done now haha. I added a few pictures from her work the past few months. For pedicures I am open to any nail tech, however, I frequently purchase the deluxe package and it comes with a 10 minute massage and extra scrubs. Tammy makes this well worth it! It feels like a professional massage. Sometimes I'm bummed when they quickly add the exfoliants and/or go really light on the massage, but Tammy made it feel like a professional massage and my skin feels SO soft. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience and the terrible customer service I received. I called a full day in advance to make an appointment for 11:00 AM and arrived at 11:02 AM. They immediately started my pedicure without mentioning there would be any delay for my fill. Then, about 10 minutes into my pedicure, they suddenly told me it would be another 20 minutes before they could even start my fill because they had taken a walk-in customer at the same time as my appointment and only had one technician available. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way it was handled. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility for poor scheduling, the front desk employee tried blaming me for the wait because I arrived two minutes late. Being two minutes late does not justify making someone with a scheduled appointment wait while accommodating walk-ins first. The entire experience felt very disorganized and unprofessional. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unhappy with the way I was treated as a customer. Will NEVER be back here. read more

Got a French tip manicure and pedicure for a wedding. Got gels on my hands and regular polish on my toes. They both turned out great! Then I went back to get the gels removed. This was my first time having someone else remove the gels, so I didn't really know what to expect. The lady who did it used a Dremel to file down the top layer and then did the cotton with acetone soak. So far, so good. Then when she removed the foil she continued to file down my nails with the Dremel. She used two different fixtures for the nail Dremel, but didn't buff my nails so they are now way thinner with rough patches all over. She also nicked my cuticle with the Dremel, causing me to bleed. From what I understand, after the acetone soak, you should be able to just scrape the gels off without damaging the nail underneath. I also asked her to cut my nails and wanted them about half the length of what they were. She cut them half length, but then filed them down so much that some parts of my nails are super short. I would recommend this plaice to get your nails done, but if you need to remove them, you are better off doing it yourself. read more

I have been coming here for a year now but will not be coming back. When I came in, I asked what the cost of gel removal and a manicure was. I was told $30. The tech comes over and I can tell is immediately disappointed im not doing gel. She starts pressuring me and asking why I am not doing it after I told her my nails need a break. She says it will be $35. I tell her the front desk just told me a different price. They don't care. The experience was so annoying I did not even want to sit there to have her paint my nails. To take off gel x (which we have no other choice to do) cut the cuticles and do no polish should NOT BE $35. Have more transparency with your pricing, stop pressuring your clients, and be ethical and fair in pricing a service. read more

Outrageous price for inferior products, disrespectful technicians who made fun of me and laughed at my requests for all nail lengths/shapes to match, in a language I cannot understand while overcharging me. This is so disrespectful! When Annie told me my arrival time was the issue and said I'd need to wait until she was done, I decided to walk out and haven't returned. There are dozens of nail salons to choose, and to (1) not have my time respected and (2) to be blamed for Annie's terrible timekeeping is completely unnecessary. Everyone that does nails are sweet and great. However, the general manager that was at the reception was very rude. He asked me to pay before my nails were done because he was leaving, even thought my hands were covered in foiled paper, he insisted that I pay right away, and I struggled to open my purse and get my card . He seemed not to care and he was raising his voice trying to embarrass me in front of everybody. I do no recommend this place if I pay 100 plus dollars, plus tips and this person does respect that I came to do my nails to rest and relax. This place is lavish inside, however, nail technique is mediocre. My nail lady was super nice. Said she's been doing nails for 25 years, however, her work does not say it. I noticed a couple technique errors when we was applying the gel. I noticed she didn't apply all the way up to the cuticle and started a couple cm down from it and proceeds to tell me she will eventually apply against the cuticle which I honestly don't understand why they do that because that is not what is taught in cosmetology school nor does it make any sense. She does the same poor technique with the primer and I think this is the FASTEST way the gel chips from the nail because that primer isn't applied right against cuticle. I think they do this because they want your nail chipping faster than it should so you HAVE to go back into the nail salon sooner than later. This to me is bad business. I went here because it was 10 minutes away from work, but now I know to drive those extra miles to Lake Forest to my original nail lady because I pay the same price and their gel nails last me about 2+ weeks without one single chip, only the grow out. I gave them a 3/5 for staff friendliness, salon aesthetics, and decent pricing. read more

If I could give zero stars to this facility I would. They refused service to me today after already making an appointment for me and I drove 30 minutes to get there. Their reasoning is that because I gave them an only 3 stars in their text survey after my last appointment they can't provide service to me any more. The last time I came the lady did a poor job, and my nails had no shine, so after that session when they texted me a survey I simply mentioned my nails didn't have any shine and I gave 3 stars. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. The nail tech MICHELLE was so aggressive and when she started service with my friend hurt her to the point where my friend cried. You think she would apologize right? Wrong. She was mocking her and said I did it so gently like this. She moved on to do my nails and continues to be sarcastic and mock my friend whom at this point had left already because she made her feel uncomfortable. I asked her not to do my pedicure anymore and requested another nail tech. The lady is going back and forth the salon looking at me and my other friend who stayed behind and laughing and speaking in her language. The receptionist comes over and apologizes and I explain to her that had the nail tech MICHELLE apologized we would've understood but instead chose to act sarcastically and mocking my friend. The nail tech MICHELLE then walks over and starts yelling at me about how I'm rude and how she was gentle. I tell her she needs to go and she starts yelling a bunch of things to my friend and I to the point where the receptionist is holding her back so she doesn't lunge at us. Finally after a couple of minutes the receptionists gets her to leave and the nail tech is still yelling at me and flips me the middle finger on her way out. We can still hear her yelling outside the nail salon, then she peeks back into the salon to flip me off again. Come to this establishment if you want to get your nails hurt, aggressive nail ladies and to get flipped off. Also we only got 50% off of my service, despite the traumatic event. Ridiculous and a trash establishment I didn't expect this in Irvine. Edit: I looked up this establishment to report them to the better business bureau and they're not even accredited.
