*Update 9/8/23* I was refunded the $30 appointment fee after 5 months, multiple calls and a visit in person to pick up my dress. Honestly spent way too much time trying to get my $30 back, but it was the principle for me. Luckily my dress was fine, but still don't recommend this place to anyone. I started talking to other girl friends about this place and multiple people told me they experienced some kind of issue here. Wrong dress size ordered, wrong color and my same issue with the refund. Save yourself the hassle and order the bridesmaid dress online. Original review: I made an appointment, paid the $30 for the appointment. I purchased a dress during that appointment. I was advised the $30 would be REFUNDED to my card and not applied to my order. I thought that was odd, but okay. The website states "The $30 fitting fee is included in the dress price if you decided to purchase the dress with Us. :)" Well here we are 4 months later and I still haven't been refunded. Same as another bridesmaid in the bridal party. I have spoken to the same girl at the store twice about this matter and she just keeps saying she's going to talk to accounting. I've been in two wedding parties that used Bella Bridesmaids and I just have to say that it has a really convenient business model. They are available in all major cities throughout the United States, so even though the bridal party I was part of couldn't all be together at the same time, we each had similar experiences at our respective locations. After our party and bride made our decisions, the ordering process was seamless!!! The customer service at the OC location, where I had my experience, was phenomenal. The stylists are genuine, knowledgeable, and will do whatever they can to ensure you have the best experience. They know what they are doing so I found it best to just trust them. The hardest part is making the decision as they have a lot of gowns to choose from! If you happen to have a very decisive bride then the experience is even that much easier. I canceled my bridesmaids dresses prior to approving the purchases. They informed me that the bridesmaids would get a refund within 14 days and still they have yet to receive it back. They told me that they would contact accounting and have them call me but still nothing. If anyone knows their corporate number please leave in comments below, I would really like to let them know how unacceptable this is and the fact that you need to call over 10 times till they answer. The store is very pretty and quant, not as overwhelming as other bridal dress stores can be. It was located on this cute little street that had upscale vibes. The bride as running late and so where a couple others since everyone was coming from different directions, but the ladies working didn't hold it against us. The assistant pulled all the dresses that came in the color the bride had picked. Four bridesmaids in and out of the dressing rooms, trying, adjusting and fitting in to about six to eight different options. The dresses were a bit over priced, but aren't all bridesmaids dress? Over all it was wonderful experience, feeling like we had the place to ourselves and allowing the bride to tell us what she liked. TERRIBLE PLACE! PLEASE CONSIDER A DIFFERENT LOCATION OR VENDOR! LACK OF COMMUNICATION, AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I ordered a dress and was told I should receive it in 6 months or less. After 6 months, I had not heard from the store about the updates on my dress, I tried contacting them MULTIPLE times and through email and phone, without being able to reach them or hearing back. I then contacted the designer directly to get help, and they were able to get a hold of Bella Bridesmaids on my behalf. It wasn't until I reached out to the designer that I finally heard from Bella Bridesmaids. They didn't even bother to apologize or explain why my dress was so late. When I originally ordered my dress, I was advised to order a size 6. I tried on the dress when I got it, and it fits MASSIVE. My measurements haven't changed much since I ordered it. I had an idea for my bridesmaids that I wanted them to wear a patterned dress, but it was so hard to find ones that weren't overwhelming. I found the perfect ones, Jenny Yoo, in Blush Watercolor. Courtney was AMAZING to work with. She was responsive every time I called the store to ask questions, or through email. She was so sweet in person and made sure she had all the dresses pulled that I wanted my maids to try. When they tried on the Jenny Yoo dress, I cried because it was just what I was looking for (I didn't even cry at my own wedding dress- HA!). The ordering process was easy. 2 of my bridesmaids live across the country and they were able to go to our online showroom and view the different styles and vote on which ones they liked best. The dresses arrived on time and everyone in my bridal party loved them. Now, almost a year later, I am going to be a bridesmaid for one of my then bridesmaids, and she wanted to check out Bella. Check out BHLDN or designers direct websites before ordering from Bella. You can get your dress from most places in less than two weeks time in standard sizing whereas Bella takes months. Even with Bella taking your exact measurements your dress still won't be a perfect fit. This is my second time purchasing a dress from here and I'm disappointed with their products as well as their lack of understanding in customer service when we're in unprecedented times. I'm so happy I worked with Bella Bridesmaids OC for my wedding. The store has a large selection and they are so knowledgeable about the different brands and colors available. It can be overwhelming if you don't have a good sales person helping you. They were so helpful in reining in my vision (which turns out wouldn't have worked at all) and guided me in a direction that was perfect! They let all 8 of my girls try on multiple styles of dresses to fit many different body types and provided their thoughts but they weren't pushy at all. I felt like they truly wanted everyone to be happy. They made the ordering process very easy. They took everyone's measurements, created a profile for my wedding using their online platform which stored the dress selection and size for each bridesmaid. The girls ordered the dress straight from their platform. As the bride I could go in and see who had purchased their dresses and who I needed to give a gentle nudge (there's always one). First off, the other negative reviews are not fake. This store has thee WORST customer service skills. Not only will they not apologize for a scheduling mix-up, they'll give you attitude and guarantee a negative word of mouth. The posted hours are a crock. They're appointment only, but when a GF called to make an appointment half an hour before their quoted closing time, they never called her back. The next morning they said they could see our party at 1pm. When we showed up, another bridal party was there & they said it was running over...and asked if we wanted to wait for the dressing room. My GF said that's why we had made an appointment. It was the body language & tone from the staff that we knew we were in for a treat. Staffzilla, much? 20 mins later, we had 1 of the 2 available to us. The staff could not bother to show us the dress variations but referred us to "look up the links online." After saying that she would show us. Way to give paying customers the cold shoulder because you're trying to get more potential clients! The dress variety is there...if nothing else, try it on & make a note of the designer & color. Our bridesmaid dresses are actually sold through Nordstroms' for the same $ but their staff is professional & their hours of operation is consistent. When they arrived they were the wrong color. Our order was for champagne/light tan dresses and what we got was a peach color. I returned all 8 dresses 4/9/22 and was told I needed to wait to see if the designer would approve a refund. Wait?!? My wedding was in less than a month! We had to scramble to order, deliver and get alterations for 8 dresses! All without having received a refund yet! Fast forward to 4/29/22, after countless unanswered calls & emails, I finally received an email stating that they'd start processing everyones individual refunds. It is now 5/19/22 and only 2 of the 8 refunds have been processed. I've called & emailed the store dozens of times since 4/29/22 and have heard nothing! Do not expect this store to communicate with you in a timely manner after you pay them! At this point I can only hope they do the right thing and refund our entire order. If not, I will have no other choice but to take further action. They don't pick up the phone or ever get back to you. Pressured me to sign the contract with a delayed arrival date (of may) I said no because I needed the dresses sooner and the lady working said the contract doesn't matter to just go ahead and sign and we would get the order in March at the latest. (We went in in November) and the lady was really nice and said this happens all the time but she trusts the vendor and they have a great relationship! Against my better judgement, I signed and the dresses came at the very end of May. Some people chose to have it shipped to them and dress shipped to the store and others chose to pick up and they shipped to their houses. One of the bridesmaids got the wrong size. Overall very little attention to detail and terrible service. The lady working there who I believe is the owner turned not so nice in the end. The day before the dresses arrived she said: if the dresses don't arrive by tomorrow we will do some sort of compensation for your bridesmaids! And magically the dresses arrived and she basically said too bad. Obviously she knew the dresses would be arriving but kept saying she was at the mercy of the vendor. Lastly, my friends are getting married in November and we had made an appointment to go in end of July and the lady told them they can definitely accommodate their wedding aka dresses would arrive in less than 4 months she said actually 2.5 to 3.... My fellow bridesmaids and I ordered dresses for a friend's wedding back in spring of this year for a December wedding. The dresses were promised by the end of September. When September came and went without us receiving our dresses, my friend, the bride, reached out to find out an ETA--only to learn that there was no guarantee the dresses would be ready in time. She requested a refund for all our dresses; no bride nor her bridal party wants to wait and see what will happen, so we needed to look at other options. Me and my bridesmaids went to Bella in NYC to get their dresses and had an amazing experience. The owner contacted me prior to our apt to get a good idea of what I was envisioning and when we got to the store they had the dresses pulled out and ready to go so there was no wasting time. Each girl was able to try on whatever style they wanted and also could choose a different color if they wanted. Bella made everything customizable and also made sure to have us purchase when the designer was offering a sale. My fiance is active duty and on top of the sale already being applied they gave each girl a military discount toward their dress. 10/10 would recommend to every bride. My experience here was terrible. So much time spent taking measurements for a perfect dress, but perfect was the opposite of what i got. After picking out your dress you have to go online...make sure you write down the measurements that were taken in the store because you need to re-enter online yourself (waste of time and doesn't make sense). They pressure you for payment, but if you have a concern they are no where to be found. I received my dress 2 weeks before the wedding and the dress was not altered...it was bigger when delivered than it was in the store. I even had sent an email prior to the appointment with what I was specifically looking for and they said they would have styles ready. What a joke giving me a size 2 dress to try on. There was also zero help/problem solving to help us find something that would work. I had been to a different Bella's store in LA for a different wedding a few years back and it was so much better. I came in 3 separate times with different groups of girls & they were all so happy with the experience. Bella bridesmaid does not get back to their customers. I have been leaving messages and do not get response. I finally emailed and they responded saying they are so busy in appointments and that my dresses are on schedule for 1/31-2/5 but the delivery that was said by Courtney was 1/20. If they are not capable of answering their current customers then they shouldnt accept new ones. I even double checked that dresses would be on time because a lot of reviews talk about how they're not on time. Courtney should not guarantee things that are not with in her reach. Designers should also be mindful selling to this store as they make them look unreliable and bad. Edited to add: my dresses are all in, they are a week late but I am happy they came before the wedding with enough time to alter. Unfortunately the timeline was disappointing as it wasn't accurate but the selection is nice. I was struggling to find the right bridesmaids dresses due to the different in sizes for my girls. We went in person a this OC location and were able to try on many different styles. Due to covid, we did have issues with shipping and delays to receive the dresses. The experience was fun.Coming here with 2 of my maids was quick and effortless. Courtney explained everything and was detailed with the dresses. We did experience a hiccup with the designer not having the dresses in the color ordered, however due to the inconvenience we were able to order a different style with a similar color, and the shop honored the same price. I really liked that they measure you for exact fitting, if you don't listen you will not fit in your dress, it's not that same as your regular street size. Take into consideration the material chosen.Pay attention! This happened to one of my maids she looked a hot mess on my wedding day! They do not alter your dress. They will recommend a seamstress or you can go on your own. Also pick up is feee or having it delivered to your home is additional.Anyhow, after fitting the majority of the service is done online virtually, so if you have out of state maids they can login and share the experience too. Overall a good retailer. Bella Bridesmaids OC has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I received my Jenny Yoo dress for my sisters wedding, and when I took it in for alterations, my seamstress told me that the wrinkles were due to the dress being made incorrectly. This dress in particular had 3 layers of fabric and the middle layer was cut too large in comparison to the outer layers, so when worn it created large ripples through the entire top half. This is unacceptable for a $300 dress. I followed up with Jenny Yoo immediately and was informed that I needed to work through Bella Bridesmaids for any sort of refund or reimbursement. I spoke with a representative at Bella Bridesmaids, provided photos and waited patiently. When I finally heard back they (and Jenny Yoo) told me that the dress was too big and needed to be steamed when in fact it fit perfectly. To appease them, I had the seamstress pin my dress in each location they said it was too large and took additional photos. This did not fix the issue and I let Bella Bridesmaids know that I expected some form of compensation in return. Last I heard, Bella Bridesmaids said that they were working with Jenny Yoo to see what could be done, as my sisters wedding date had come and gone. I've left 3 voicemails, and have sent 3 emails over the past month and a half and ZERO responses. Not a call, a voicemail, or even an email. We ordered Hayley Paige bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids for our wedding in April 2021. The store had a wide selection of dresses. My bridesmaids and I utilized their online poll tool to select which dress everyone wanted to wear. When it came time to order them, Bella Bridesmaids made it difficult. Instead of shipping the dresses to the respective stores for pick up, the dresses had to be sent to the store I ordered from, then shipped out, which was an additional cost and delay.
