I was on the hunt for a specific dress they had and they got back to me right away confirming they had it even before their open hours and squeezed me in for a same day appointment based on me driving in from Portland quickly before my mom had to leave town. When I got there Ashleigh was so down to earth AND so knowledgeable. We had the best experience. She talked me through every consideration for my dress, from showing me how the different sizes would feel when I was on the cusp, to contacting the designer with multiple questions/requests and promptly getting back to me with pictures and detailed information. She also let me really get enough time in the dress to get a full feel and be confident that it was the dress for me before making such a big purchase. My good friend was the bride, and I was the pseudo-MOH. We live in PDX and planned a special weekend to shop at two Bend bridal shops as a treat.  When we were ready to schedule, I spent an enormous amount of time reading reviews and compiling information for many shops in both Bend and PDX.  The bride wanted to try on as many dresses as possible.  At the time that we scheduled, Bella Brides had a special "experience" package listed on their website, with a hefty fee.  For $400, they shut the shop down, provide a professional photographer, provide specific foods (they were listed, with specific vendors) that were more than enough for a meal, champagne and a personal bridal consultant.  They asked for the personal info for the bride (name, email, dress size, etc.).  The "experience" also included a short video, so they asked each attendee and the groom to make a short video to be included for the day-of experience.  We made this appointment about 2.5 month ahead of time.  We also made this appt when society was just reopening after Covid, so we knew it might be bumpy.  We did NOT know that it would be so incredibly disappointing. The shop was in touch with the bride before our arrival.  They were also in touch with the groom who provided the song that the bride has chosen to use for her walk down the aisle.  The bride spent hours on the Bella website choosing specific gowns she wanted to try on and was assured that the gowns would be available for her at her appointment.  When we arrived at the salon, there were dresses in the room waiting for her. The photographer was there - he was very nice.  He was not a professional photographer, which came into play later. We brought a large group to Bend including boyfriends/fiancés/partners.  We were a group of about 12 total for the weekend, with 6 women in attendance for the appt.  Because this was my rodeo, I needed to plan for meals.  So, I went back to the Bella website and looked for the description of the buffet provided at the bridal salon during our $400 "experience" appointment so that I could assess whether the women needed to plan for dinner.  When we made the appointment, I discussed this aspect with the store representative, who assured me that it was a meal-type buffet with baked goods from a specific bakery, in addition to other heavier foods (meats, cheeses, etc.).  When I went back to the website to copy the info to share with the other attendees so that we could potentially make dinner plans, the information was gone.  The whole page describing the different appointments was completely missing.  I texted Sarah and asked for her to send me the webpage and got a vague response.  I asked for the information again in a call and was sent a VERY different list of offerings than was on the initial description when I made the appt.  Here's where the trouble started:  when I mentioned that this was very different and that the web page with the information was missing, Sarah became very confrontational and insinuated that I was being less than honest.  I was furious but decided to let it go since we had a big weekend planned. We arrived.  Jessica greeted us.  Another person who I was later told was Sarah was behind the desk, literally GLARING at me.  Another of the women in attendance asked me what the deal was with the girl behind the counter because it was so obvious. Jessica was very nice.  We watched the short video, were provided our one glass of prosecco, and the bride started trying on dresses.  Many of the dresses were stunning.  Bella has a nice selection.  Jessica suggested a dress in an A-line style, which was not what the bride wanted, but she was willing to try it.  (The bride wanted a fit-and-flare.  She is curvy & gorgeous.)  The dress was beautiful.  Jessica noticed that the group liked it and that momentum was building.  The bride was weeping and made the comment that "my mother would love this".  (The bride's mother had recently passed away).  When Jessica heard this, she shifted into high gear, so she got a veil and flowers.  Then she asked the bride to come out to the main area on the pedestal, then turned on the Braveheart music and the hard-sell started. The bride was so rattled and uncomfortable, that she just cried for a few minutes. When she was taken back into the room to change, we were told our time was up and they would hold the dress since it was so perfect for her. SHE DID NOT GET TO TRY ON ANY OF THE PRE-SELECTED DRESSES. We also tipped the photographer $80, but when we finally go the photos the quality was not good, and we had to pester the shop for them. They somehow couldn't get in contact with the photographer. The food provided was a light selection of olives, cheese and Costco sweets - definitely not as described. We did not make dinner reservations since we thought we would had that covered. This was not a good experience, was not as advertised, and the hard-sell was the breaking point. I would not recommend. read more

Our daughter Kelli got engaged to her long time sweetheart over Thanksgiving weekend. She lives in Portland but our whole family ended up here the weekend before Christmas. After scouring the internet and other dress shops for a performance gown, I finally made an appointment with Bella Brides to try on some dresses. Jessica helped me set up a time to meet for the following morning without any trouble. She asked what I was looking for - a long gown that was red, blue, purple, or black, and under $200. Immediately she said, "I have a stunning red gown in mind." The next day at my appointment, she already had all of the dresses lined up for me to pick from. She seemed to know what dresses I would like before I even tried them on! After narrowing it down to three beautiful gowns, she told me to try all of them on in a specific order. Each one was better than the last, and when I finally put on the last gown, it was the one. It turned out to be the red one she had envisioned the day before. It was long, red, classy and dramatic, and under $200. Jessica was so patient, helpful, and seemingly psychic - she knew exactly what I would like without having to ask. I said yes to the dress. I can't say enough good things about Bella Brides, their staff and customer service. I live in Portland and made the trip down just to shop there. Here's why they are so special: I found a dress online that I loved, but NOT A SINGLE SHOP within like 500 miles of Portland carried it. Bella Brides actually shipped in a sample just for me to try on. They let me pick out the optional dress features beforehand and ordered the sample in a smaller size so the fit would be more realistic. Added bonus? Bella Brides even opened on their day off to accommodate our travel plans. When we arrived, the staff was genuinely interested in helping us create our dream wedding, and at no point did I feel pressured to select a dress... even though they went WAY out of their way to accommodate us. The experience felt collaborative and uplifting. A few other things to note: - Bella Brides sells their product at the lowest MSRP. I saved several hundred dollars from what I was quoted by shops in Portland and Washington. -They have just about the cutest boutique décor. My wedding party had a lot of fun just snapping selfies. -They also sell dress preservation packages. Trust me, you want this. Would definitely recommend. read more

So my mom and I walked in with no appointment and were greeted instantly by Sarah. Since I had a few bad experiences walking into shops at home Sarah was a breath of fresh air. If I could give a 0 star rating I would! Next May I will be a bridesmaid in a wedding on the beach in Florida. The bride has already picked out the bridesmaids dresses for her bridesmaids who are scattered around the US and sent us links to the nearest bridal stores that should carry the line of dresses she chose and will be able to take our measurements according to the designers fit. Over a couple of days I spoke with the store owner over the phone (because I live an hour away) about coming in to get my measurements taken. I told her about another bad experience I'd had by ordering a bridesmaids dress by measurements ONLY in the past and asked if it would be possible for me to try on some similar dresses by the same designer so I knew how the size I was ordering would fit and could get an idea about what would need to be done for alterations. When I asked Nicole if I needed to make an appointment for those services she replied that she doesn't need me to make an appointment because she will only take my measurements (which will take a few minutes) and not allow me to try on any dresses because that will "take up a lot of her time." I thought this was insanely rude and will not be going to Bella Brides for my bridesmaids dress measurements or alterations. I think it's a good reminder for Nicole that every bridesmaid is a future BRIDE, and this future bride will be driving 3 hours over Mt. Hood to get some decent customer service. read more

I'm originally from Chicago, IL but while I was visiting my Mom in Bend for thanksgiving we decided to go wedding dress shopping together. It was a last minute spur of the moment idea but Nicole made time for us in her day (the Saturday after thanksgiving). I was really not intending to purchase a dress (since I had only just got engaged) but rather I wanted the experience to go shopping for a dress with my Mom. We came in with printed photos to give Nicole an idea of what I was looking for and she went around the room pulling dresses and telling me to do the same if there was any that I saw. I grabbed maybe two and tried one of them one. It didn't look like me and I didn't feel anything special about it. So Nicole then tells me to try this "one" that she pulled for me. It's nothing like I thought I would want, I thought I wanted lacy and slim, this one was layered and had a little bit of "bling" (I'm totally not a bling kind of girl). But as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one, my mother started crying when she saw me in it. I couldn't believe it. We tried on a few others but my thoughts always went back to that "one". We left that day not purchasing anything, mostly because I didn't think I was ready to buy. But after thinking about it all day I called Nicole at 8pm that night. She called me right back and I asked if there was any way that she would let me come see the dress again on Sunday (a day she was closed, but my flight left at 7am Monday morning). Even though she had plans with family for Sunday afternoon she got up early and opened the shop for me so I could take another look. That's when we gave in to the conclusion that it was perfect for me. Nicole straight out picked out my dress for me, I would have never picked it up myself. She was also right-on with the sizing. I had tried on a size 6 which we thought fit perfectly, but she told me to get the 4 (I can't tell you how nervous this made me!!) but she was ABSOULTELY correct. When it arrived it was perfect. There are so many other places that will try and make you buy a size larger so that you have to do alterations, but Nicole was honest and gave us the right size. The ONLY reason I can't give a total 5 starts was because of the delay in my dress. Although this was not totally her fault (the designer had put in a delay) but she still should have paid attention to the emails sent to her from the designer and told me in advance, verses me calling a week after the dress was supposed to be delivered. I will say though she did help me to get a hold of a manager with the designer to get a dress expedited to me (since the delay was past my wedding date!). All in all, this is a nice little gem in a small town. And to me the prices were VERY good compared to anything I would have paid in Chicago for the exact same dresses. Thanks Nicole!! This was the first bridal shop I visited after I got engaged, my sister and I went in, giddy and excited to start shopping for dresses. We entered the shop and were then completely ignored the entire time we were in the shop. Completely. We weren't greeted or even looked at. We looked around the whole shop at almost all the dresses, hoping to try some on but after 30 minutes of being snubbed, we left. I came in to rent a tux with my bride-to-be. Sarah helped us out and was exceptionally warm, friendly and accommodating since we had not set up an appointment. She went through the available options and recommended a look that met what we wanted rather than what "should be done" like another tux outfit in town. Since I know jack squat about tuxes, Sarah's expertise was greatly appreciated. She was the only person working that day and did a great job of attending to us and the numerous bridal parties that were coming and going. It was a great experience and I'm sure we'll be back. I already purchased a dress in Kansas City where I live and I hated it. (Ladies do not buy a dress without trying it on!) I came home for Christmas break and decided to try on a few dresses for fun not expecting to buy any. Nicole picked up a few dresses she thought I'd like. The first one she picked was perfect! I told her I was in town for a few days and my wedding is in less than two months. Nicole sold me the dress off the rack, took off 20% and set me up with her seamstress that day so I could get fitted before I went back to Missouri. The seamstress at Needles and Thread (Terry) finished my dress before I left for Kansas City 5 days later. Nicole is a great help, wonderful to work with, and she helped me finally feel like a bride! I recommend Bella Brides to every bride! ---After posting this note about Nicole, I told my friends about what a great experience I had at Bella Brides, and I found out many friends went there as well and they all had great experiences too. She even entertained my 9 year old niece (which is a chore in itself). She talked to me about what I wanted in a dress and my vision for my wedding day, and asked me to pick a few dresses I wanted to try, and she would pick some as well based on what I told her. She let us have fun by trying on all sorts of styles so I could see what I did and didn't like on me, it was really a Fun experience that I wasn't expecting. I found the world of bridal dresses a bit daunting, and her grounded honestly really helped me feel normal and have the ability to make MY decision.
