We are very pleased with the shutters Installed and purchased from Bella Blinds. We had our entire house done. Derek came to give us estimate and reasonable price. Much lower than two other quotes. We are very pleased. We had to wait for a while for shutters to come in due to covid. That was to be expected. read more

Derek is friendly, honest, and has a good eye for window treatments. We just got new blinds installed by Derek today and even though our house was chaotic with painters everywhere, he was kind and professional and had them all hung up in no time. They look so great! I highly recommend going with Bella Blinds and I plan to use them again in the future. read more

Derek was awesome. His service and price are unbeatable. Hard working and very friendly! He was very responsive to my email and came on time. I would hire him again for any future window treatment job. read more

I got estimates from 3 different companies. Derek was the least expensive for the same/similar product, with less time to wait. He is efficient, on time, quick, and delivered exactly what he promised. On one of our shades there was a pinhole that Derek discovered as he was installing. He told me about it and ordered a new one without me saying a word. He's honest and trustworthy. read more

Great service, instillation was flawless and he gave us a rundown of how to operate the shutters and cleaning/care instructions. Derek was super friendly too and did an amazing job of cleanup after instillation as well. Highly recommend read more

We are so happy with our banded blinds. Derek was great explaining all the shade types & helped us decide what works with our condo best. He was professional, fast and reliable. We definitely recommend Bella Blinds, it was a pleasant experience. read more

Where do I even begin? Derek and his team at Bella Blinds do AMAZING work. When I was initially shopping for shutters I thought I was doing my due diligence by looking around for other prices, but I ended up being quoted significantly more for the same work. After the other person left I immediately called Derek back to place my order. Not only that, I just felt that Derek was more knowledgeable about his craft and I felt pretty confident in his work (plus I had seen it before -- my friends actually referred me to him after he installed shutters in their home). I had shutters installed on the windows and couple months later had Bella Blinds come back to install shutters on the sliding glass door. The place looks amazing and I have Derek and his team to thank for that. When my fiancé and I first purchased our condo we knew this was and upgrade we had to make. As to the shutters themselves, they are great in the sense that I don't have to sacrifice sunlight for privacy -- I'm able to adjust them so that I get great lighting while not feeling exposed in my own home. You will not be disappointed working with Derek and Bella Blinds!!! read more

Derek was great to work with! His prices were half of all the other quotes from the same product and work! Derek was responsive and very patient with all the questions we had! read more

Derek did a wonderful job installing very modern plantation shutters throughout my new home, as well as a wicker "curtain" for my slider. He was very punctual and professional, and he even made a special trip over to give me temporary shades for my master bedroom while the shutters were being made. read more

Derek of Bella Blinds was such a pleasure to work with! He came to measure our windows, walked us through all the different materials, and really helped us sort through all our options. His quote was also unbelievably reasonable, and he was so knowledgeable, it was a no brainer to go with him! He works out of his van, so has no overhead costs... and he is the only man doing all the installing, so no employees either. He is super detail-oriented, professional, and responsive. After our initial consultation, he placed the order we wanted, then called us right when the order came. We placed orders for both blinds and shutters... so the first order that arrived was the blinds, so he made a separate trip out to install those for us. I asked him why he didn't just wait for everything to come in, and he said he figured we'd want them installed as soon as possible. Now that is customer service. Then the shutters arrived, and again, he squeezed us in quickly and got those installed within the hour. Everything happened so fast. I couldn't believe how quick and smooth the whole installation process was. Our blinds and shutters look beautiful in our downstairs living space, and we are more than happy with the results. Would recommend Derek to anyone who needs window treatments updated in their home! read more

When we moved into our house 4 years ago we decided to order window coverings through Bella Blinds. We had something like 15 windows to dress and Derek was incredibly helpful guiding us through all of the types and choices within types. We ended up with a combination of shutters, roman shades, and more standard blinds for our less-often used rooms and they've held up well over the years. The one shade we've had hiccups with is both unusually large and our most-often used covering (the one in our bedroom). But whenever we reach out to Derek he's really quick to respond and resolve the issue. read more

Derek is superb! The quality of the roller shades he installed were great and functioned perfectly. They are fully automated and programmable through smart phone and wall remote. I can tell Siri to open the shades. Or put them on a schedule. His price cannot be beat. Hunter Douglas wanted to charge 3X more with no automation. Derek was on time, friendly, helpful and patient. I will recommend him to anyone I know who needs window coverings. I can't remember the last time I wrote a review, so this one is legit. read more

Derek from Bella Blinds just left my home with beautiful Shutters. I couldn't be happier with the price and installation. This is your guy.

We needed to replace some really old shutters and after some research and Angela C's review, I decided to call Derek. His quote was reasonable (since he included demo of our old shutters) and he talked through our options. We ended up going all basswood (100% real wood) to match the existing shutters in other parts of our home. A few weeks later, he arrived on time and with another guy (who actually made our shutters) was able to install pretty quickly. The shutters look awesome and he got them to match the existing shutters and they look seamless. I really like the way you can do all sorts of splits (half, 1/3, etc) to get in light and maintain privacy. Derek is very knowledgeable and nice guy. I like that he's there all the way, from quote to install. I would recommend him to anyone looking for shutters (I believe he also does blinds and shades). read more

We used Bella Blinds 15 years ago when we built our home. I didn't remember who we ordered from so I got a quote from another chain retailer. After we signed on the dotted line, they emailed me and said the blinds wouldn't be delivered until May (this was February/March)! Thankfully we found the original company that provided our window coverings 15 years ago. Derick understood our needs, provided an estimate and delivered the blinds, all within a couple of weeks. We were thrilled with the exceptional service, and the expert installation. We give Bella Blinds 10 stars out of 5! read more

Professional and so helpful! Would highly recommend to anyone in the Orange County area. Thanks again!

We were referred to Derek by a designer in the area. After looking into the Shade Store and blinds.com and deciding against either option, I had Derek come to the house for an estimate. I needed blinds for one very large window in my kitchen. He spent a good deal of time going through different options with. me and answering my questions, offering his expertise. The install was very quick and professional and I couldn't be more pleased with my blinds. I'm pleased with the quality and installation. Derek helped set up the app and the remote for the shade and made sure everything was working smoothly before leaving. Pricing is higher then something like Blinds.com, but the products you order through Derek are I believe much higher quality and you also get someone who with a lot of experience help you through the process of selection and the features to consider, etc. And last but not least, I always want to support small, local businesses whenever possible. Would highly recommend Derek at Bella Blinds for any needs you might have. read more

Derek was fantastic! When we needed blinds installation, we went on to Yelp trying to find a good place to go. So glad that we came across Bella Blinds. Derek was quick to respond. He came with lots of great suggestions and recommendations. Very honest and direct. Great value on the product he provided. All his professional suggestions all worked out great for us! Very easy to work with. We especially love the sectional shutters he installed. Good quality and great value. All in all, very happy customer. Thank you Derek! read more

We recently had Bella Blinds install new custom plantation shutters and blinds in our Irvine, CA home. We worked with Derek, owner with 30 years experience. I am repeat client of Derek! This is the second time I have had him do my whole house window coverings. He knows what he's doing and I would not hesitate to recommend him again. Due to COVID, and the delays, he was straightforward that the shutters and shades would take longer. I trust him hands down to my window treatments if I ever purchase another home. I could have gone with other companies, but I trust him! read more

We had shutters installed for our whole house. They came recommended by a neighbor. Derek the owner is very knowledgeable about the product and will advise you on all the different options and the ones that best fit your needs. He is at the same time totally hands on and did the installation himself, making sure the finished product is high quality. His prices are also very reasonable. read more

Derek is very professional and informative. He went out of his way to make sure we got the proper measurement. Although we didn't go with him bc we found a friend who also does shutter for a family discount price, I would highly recommended him if you need windows or shutters. He is very straight forward. We are first time home buyer so we are not experienced with inspection and stuff. While measuring our windows, Derek also took his time to examined the area. He pointed out all the imperfections that need to be fix so we can address the issues with builder. Very punctual and professional. Customer service is excellent. read more

Long overdue review. Bought a house ~4 months ago. Hired Bella Blinds to replace all of my existing blinds on all windows. Came out and gave a great bid, but more importantly gave great recommendations and I could tell he knew what he was talking about. Even suggested doing shutters on some of the smaller windows to save on costs and shutters in the bathroom instead of cellular shades to reduce any issues wet moisture/mold. Installation was super smooth. Got all the blinds up super fast. Even did a window cling on a second story window where he needed to bring in a large ladder. Very appreciative of his expertise and hard work. Thank you! read more

We wanted to replace the blinds with something that would be easy to maintain and we're especially effective in blocking out light. We spoke to a few companies and found that Dereck from Bella Blinds was extremely knowledgeable. The quote was fair and the installation was professionally done by Dereck and his assistant. I highly recommend them. read more

Derek was awesome! We were in need of new blinds and contacted Bella Blinds to help. Derek was responsive, diligent, and always there to answer any questions that we had. He took the time to sit with help us find the perfect fit for our home. He did not try to sell us, but more importantly asked what our goals were and showed us what we wanted to see. You will not be disappointed if you hire Bella Blinds. We've worked with Bella Blinds on multiple occasions and highly recommend Derek and his products. We used Derek to install blinds and more recently, shutters. Derek is very personable and knowledgeable and can help you make choices for your home. All the deliveries occurred on time and installation was clean and quick. We highly recommend Derek and Bella Blinds. read more

I was looking to upgrade my living room and dining room with interior shutters. I contacted three companies for in-home quotes, and to get suggestions about what type and style to go with. I'm very happy that I picked Derek for my project. He was very good about explaining all the options and what would work best for my home. He took time to explain the details of the installation process, how the shutters would look, and the custom options that were available (louver material, louver widths, with or without center tilt bar, and with 1/2 split louvers or with 1/3 split). His communication was excellent and he was very prompt for both appointments -- initial consultation and installation. He was meticulous with his measurements so the install looks perfect, and the color match with the existing window trim is spot on. Derek was fantastic to work with and I'm extremely happy with the finished product. I will definitely be using him again when I am ready to install additional shutters in other rooms. read more

Derek had installed cellular and other shades in our home last year and everything has been working great! After getting a few quotes I went with Bella Blinds a few years ago and was so pleased that when I recently decided to have 2 more windows done I had no hesitation using Derek again. He is pleasant, prompt and a terrific job measuring and installing them. Oh yes, when he came the first time I was debating whether to have those 2 windows done at that time. He could have easily tried to convince me I should do so but instead told me the old ones were fine and that I should wait until I was ready. He is very honest! read more

We had all new shutters put in our home and Derek, the owner, did the intstallation. His work is impeccible and the product he helped us pick out is beautiful. Derek of Bella Blinds installed custom plantation shutters and woven shades in my newly built condo. Everything about the experience was positive. He showed up exactly on time for the initial consultation, measurements, and final installation. Along the way I had many questions concerning design, color choices, operation, etc. and all questions were answered promptly with lots of helpful information and suggestions. The final installation was perfect. The fit and finish of the plantation shutters virtually flawless. The work area was entirely cleaned up afterwards. And the icing on the cake - Derek's pricing was significantly less than the quote I got from the builder. Bella Blinds: Highly Recommended! read more

My mother-in-law recommended Bella Blinds and I couldn't be happier. Derek was very patient and helped me select the style and colors for the rollers. I asked if he needed a deposit and he said $100 was fine. We ordered 6 roller shades. Very happy with the results. Will definitely use them again! read more

Derek is quick to respond to your call, shows up on time for your appt, is super courteous and helps you find a solution to your blind and window covering needs. I had a bay window, 4 really high box windows and a double glass door. He gave me ideas but didn't give me the up sale, instead he gave me options and told me the most cost effective way to get it done. I had my blinds up in less than 2 weeks. I highly recommend him, he does good work and he saw that one of my shutters was broken and took the time to repair it. He does an excellent job and provides top notch service. Don't go with anyone else, I tried to go to the Shade Store and it was triple the price and the showroom lady was "too busy" to show me her products because I didn't have an appt. read more

We had Derek come over to replace and upgrade a number blinds in our newly purchased home. He was professional, courteous, punctual, and not only did he do a fantastic job but he also was great at giving us options and following up on a couple of items (though one of our blinds was operational, he was not happy with how reliable the mechanism was and got it replaced for us). It was a pleasure to work with him and Bella Blinds, and we will certainly use them again for any blind / shutter work in the future. read more

We had Derek install the Sunland Polycore Shutters in our living and family rooms three years ago and absolutely love them, especially the "split" blinds feature that he suggested. So when it came time to making a change in two of our bedrooms, it was a no-brainer to ask Derek to install the same shutters there. I love that Derek is so responsive and upfront about managing expectations. Everything went so smoothly-- he even installed our doorbell free of charge (I really appreciated that)! read more
