Kelly at BellaB Once we knew that Covid was not going to improve enough for us to keep the wedding at a hotel in Laguna Beach, we had to accept some hard realities which included a much smaller wedding and one that would be at our house. What we feared the most was a Back Yard BBQ type feel wedding. We needed a professional. With 3 months to go, we started to interview three wedding coordinators that we found online. Right away, Kelly stood out with her professionalism, warm/friendly demeanor and impressive social media photos of past weddings/events. What was the deciding factor was how she approached our wedding vision. She asked if we wanted her to execute our vision only, or if we wanted her input. We are so glad she did not execute our vision, it would have looked like a Jr. High School Dance!! Once she shared her ideas for our wedding- we knew Kelly was the right choice and hired her quickly. Throughout the entire process and through every decision, large or small - she kept us on track, focused and not once did we feel overwhelmed, even as we had to navigate limitations due to Covid. Kelly proficiently managed everything from the Chef, Servers, DJ, Furniture Rental Company, Bartender and Cleaning Service. Considering the event had a lot of moving parts and with only 3 months to execute, Kelly handled it with ease. Reflecting back to that day, Kelly absolutely delivered. She transformed an average back yard into something out of the pages of a magazine. I didn't feel like we were at home, but rather at some high-scale, must-attend lounge in some far away place. It presented very masculine, glamorous and rich, yet not over the top or pretentious. The food was amazing, the bartender kept everyone happy, the music was exactly what we wanted. The evening flowed perfectly, which had a lot to do with Kelly. If there was a problem or last minute trip to the store, we were not aware of it, which we appreciated. Kelly really listened when we said that the most important thing for us; was to be fully immersed in the moment with our family and friends. We could not be any more happier with Kelly at BellaB. She gave us exactly what we wanted; a Perfect Day with our family and friends and a wonderful start our new life chapter together as a married couple. read more

To start out I would say that I understand and sympathize with Kelly's situation given the pandemic and everything happening lately as it is extremely unusual. However, my review is with respect to concerns over a certain lack of professionalism. I had contracted Kelly and her company's services for a Day Of coordinator for July of 2020 (of course we worked together to reschedule twice with which she was more than accommodating). We finally landed on a date of November 6th of this year. Due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to change our venue and the new venue required a Month Of coordinator as part of our contract with them. Wanting to continue with Kelly's services but add on the additional Month Of we reached out to her and set up a meeting where we detailed what the venue was asking. Kelly had let us know that she would reach out to the venue within the week to better understand what their expectations were so that she could provide us an accurate quote on the additional services needed. A week later we followed up since we had not heard anything. Two weeks after we sent a second follow up. A week after that we sent a third follow up which received an automated email stating that Kelly was handling a personal matter and that her focus currently was on weddings within the next few weeks. By this point the venue had let us know that they had not heard from Kelly and were emphasizing our need to have a coordinator as soon as possible in accordance with our agreement. We had to make a decision so we regrettably messaged Kelly in order to cancel our contract. The email was sent Sep 26, a full month after our call with Kelly and was meant to relay apologies and the unfortunate fact that the situation had changed to where we needed to cancel. I had asked her a question about receiving a refund on our deposit knowing of course that we were not entitled to it as detailed in our original agreement but just wanting to see if there was flexibility given that we hadn't received any coordination services at that point as well as the unusual nature of the pandemic surrounding our agreement. I received no response to my email. Or any of the emails sent to her over the span of a month. She simply cancelled our invoice and contract, and left it at that. This response, or lack there of has really left me with an unfavorable impression and as I mentioned reflects poorly on Bella B's professionalism. When hiring Kelly's services please keep this in mind as I would not wish someone to experience this during the stressful time that is planning a wedding. For reference, as of posting this review I have still not received any kind of correspondence from Kelly that would at the very least serve as a courteous well wishes which is what I offered her despite a month of radio silence. We may not have been top priority for her but we were still a client and we did not receive a bare minimum response which you would expect from a coordinator service. read more

My experience with Kelly was great all around! I booked her about 6 months before my wedding and then the wedding was postponed :( Her communication was great and she was so friendly! I sent her images from Pinterest for the arch pieces and the bridal bouquet and they turned out beautiful! I should've listened to the post previously made about Kelly's professionalism. I trusted all her other great reviews and Instagram posts. I contacted Bella B in May of 2022, asking if she could do the florals for my wedding in March 2023. Everything went well to begin with. She was communicative, had some really fabulous ideas, and was an overall pleasure to work with. I was so impressed with the floral vision she put together for my wedding and the amazing price she was giving me. I put a deposit down in June and was tickled pink I had found such an amazing florist. I reached out to her a month later in regards to providing flowers for my cake and she responded promptly. No problem. Fast forward to now. My wedding is in two months. I emailed her about having to possibly add another table and her email bounces back. Address not found. I triple check the email and it's the right one. I text her. Nothing. I call her office line and leave a message. Nothing. I go to her webpage and leave her a message there. Nothing. I go to her Instagram and DM her. Nothing. Although I do notice that someone else has asked her for a reimbursement on one of her posts, only a few minutes before she deactivates all comments. Good thing I took a screen shot. And then, on Yelp I see that her business is listed as temporarily closed until Dec of 2023!!! Umm, excuse me? Hello???? Did you forget to tell me that you're not in business at the moment? My wedding is in two months!! And what about that deposit I already paid you? Or if something has come up, how about some communication? ANYTHING! You have time to deactivate comments but not respond to someone who paid you to do a job. NIGHTMARE. I can not recommend Bella B enough. Seriously- Kelly was the only true constant during my crazy COVID-19 wedding! As plans continued to change and venues cancelled, Kelly not only remained available and responsive, but so so supportive. She came to feel like such a friend during the process, and this didn't change once we finally met in person on the big day! Her calm, professional demeanor made me feel confident in our choice in florist, but her friendliness was the cherry on top. And her flowers are insanely beautiful! I cannot believe the value. We had hired Kelly to provide floral services for our May 30th wedding which was postponed by our venue because they will still be closed due to COVID 19. The venue changed our wedding date to October 3rd. She will not provide us a full or partial refund or any services for that matter. She will not provide any services for the day that we need. She mentioned she booked that day. I asked since she is a event coordination firm, If she could find another floral shop that can do the flowers the day we need it and she refused. She said no. We asked if we could use some of the deposit for flower stands and candles we still need to buy and what ever money so left over she can keep as margin and she said no. I have tried working with her and she has refused every option I have thrown at her. She said I would have to move my wedding date to her needs and if I didn't, she can't provide any services. I mentioned repeatedly to her, we didn't have an option on a wedding date due to the COVID 19 situation and the available venue date given to us. It's not like we wanted to postpone our wedding. I cannot say enough positive things about Kelly from Bella B florals! She did the floral, center pieces and balloon decor for my baby shower and it turned out so gorgeous! The balloon bouquet was ridiculously impressive! She also incorporated the party theme into the decorations. It was beautiful and classy! She easy to work with, and delivered beyond all expectations. Kelly is very experienced in the wedding industry and she knows how to stay on-top of every little detail-nothing got forgotten or left behind. Kelly Bloodworth Notes -Did not follow contract. Was supposed to reach out 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding but never did. I texted, called, and emailed before getting a response about 2.5 weeks from the wedding. -Leading up to the months before the wedding, I texted a few times with questions which were never responded to -The day of timeline she created was not accurate after speaking for 40 minutes. I had to make multiple changes and communicate with the vendors as she had the incorrect version -Eleven days before the wedding she let us know there was a family emergency and she wouldn't be able to be our day-of coordinator but would be sending someone in her place -Ten days before I sent an email asking if her replacement would be at our rehearsal -Five days before the wedding she finally responded to my email and told us no one could be at the rehearsal in person. Our options she provided were: 1. Perform it virtually, 2. Move the rehearsal to Thursday instead of Friday or 3. Receive a $100 credit and have our officiant do it (who was my 85 year old father-in-law and never officiated before) -Since no one could be at the rehearsal, we found a new coordinator four days before the wedding and told kelly her coordinating services wouldn't be needed -We also hired kelly for our florals but she provided the incorrect amount of bouquets or boutonnières. My mom's corsage fell apart before the ceremony even started. And it was supposed to be a wrist corsage and wasn't.None of the florals were labeled. -The chuppah was supposed to include florals but didn't (supposedly on account of the wind but did they even try to put them on?) I'm sure they've encountered wind before and some better planning could have been done to accommodate this better -received an email three days before the wedding with a $600 invoice for our floral delivery and Chuppah set-up since we cancelled her coordination services -Did not receive our $300 coordination deposit back even though she didn't coordinate anything (only spent 40 minutes on the phone with me the last year I've been planning my wedding) -Never received an apology or discount for the grief she put us through less than a week before the wedding -Overall highly unprofessional, especially compared to all of our other vendors. Kelly is professional, flexible, responsive and just and overall joy to work with. I reached out to her in January 2020 for a May wedding, and was quickly thrown for a loop when Covid hit. I went through multiple postponements and Kelly was beyond understanding every step of the way. In the end, we went another direction for our wedding and no longer needed her services. Bella B recent did my wedding and we could not be any happier. Kelly & her team were on top of everything wedding day. Prior to the wedding she got back to me with any and all questions usually within 24-48hrs. I felt stress free the whole way. But best of all was the flowers that they did... Wow! As someone who has worked in hospitality, I'm quite a neurotic planner. Kelly and her assistant, Brittany, were as good as they come. From the personal greetings and transitions between ceremony/reception spaces, our wedding felt like an experience rather than a traditional wedding. Looking back, we both agree that we would've taken advantage of Bella B's services/offering even more than we did. They're true professionals that are relaxed and take care of anything under the sun without sweating. Not to mention, we were always taken care of - endless martinis and beer and food for the entire night!
