The new roof was installed and within a short time, we started noticing leaks during rain. Water is coming in causing damage to ceilings and creating ongoing stress for my family. A brand-new roof should not have these issues right away. When I contacted Bell Roofing to schedule warranty repair, they assured me someone would come out soon. We set up an appointment, but no one showed up. No phone call, no text, no email - complete radio silence. I followed up multiple times, leaving messages and sending emails, but still no response or rescheduling. It's been 3 months with no resolution, while the leaks continue every time it rains. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable for a company that advertises professional service in the Philly/South Jersey area. I paid a significant amount for what was supposed to be a long-lasting, leak-free roof, and now I'm left dealing with water damage and uncertainty because the company won't stand behind their work. I would strongly caution anyone in Philadelphia or surrounding areas against using Bell Roofing for new roofs or repairs. Do your research and consider other local contractors with better follow-through on warranties. Talk about going from great to awful. We had a new roof placed in Oct 2023. The guy who came out and did the estimate was nice and knowledgeable and that's where it ended. The first team sent out to redo the roof had no clue what they were doing unknown to us at the time. After the roof was completed we had $7,000 on repairs done on the inside because of the prior damage, within 3 months the roof was leaking again and worse than it had before the new roof again causing major damage inside the house. They finally got a new crew to come out in Jan/Feb 2024 to fix the problem, they did not. Within a month or two the roof was leaking again. We had a 3rd crew come out in the spring who again did not know what they were doing and by June the roof was leaking again. Since June, we have gotten nothing but either false promises of the crew coming out where they just no show. Or total dead silence not responding to phone calls or text at all. The roof continues to leak in my 80 year old mothers bedroom, which the owner of Bell roofing James is very much aware of. It is now winter and cold and her bedroom ceiling is exposed due to the rain damage and her bedroom is very cold. Does bell roofing care? No they do not because they got their payment from the finance company in Oct 2023. What good is a contract with a 25 year warranty if you dont stand by it in the first year. There are so many other options out there, save yourself the pain and anguish my mother has gone through and stay clear of Bell Roofing. read more

Good afternoon - I am posting my review to save anyone else any future grief - I worked for this company for one month - I can provide my offer letter to prove this. I was promised health care - which was not offered and the work environment was completely hostile - I was screamed at frequently while subjected to work with someone who was clearly dealing with some substance issues - the manager would also frequently scream at her and they would fight within the office. I was paid in only cash and then fired when he suspected I was looking for a new job - since I had no verification I was in fact working and it made receiving unemployment impossible. I almost lost my apartment, my car was repossessed. I suffered great financial distress due to this company as well as emotional distress and I suffer from PTSD. In my opinion it is in your best interest to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BELL ROOFING. Save yourself the headaches. read more

My grandparents live out in Merchantville! Called them for a quick roofing quote (20 years of water damage, sagging, etc.), then ended up going with them. They might have a bit of a gruff exterior from the outside, but these guys get the work done and done well. I would recommend them every day of the week read more

Safe yourself time and DO NOT CONTRACT!!! what a nightmare. We met with Hunter, who is the son of the owner and gave us the perfect sales pitch. He said that no subcontractors are hired and that the people doing the work are hired directly. Completely false! Over the span of three days we had (3) different crews from different contractors. The job was supposed to be (1) day and due to the incompetence of different parties work still not done. The crew never secured the roof and left without notice. A section of the roof that was not supposed to be changed was replaced. Second day, crew left without finish and water filter to my kitchen ceiling cause more damage that what I already have. Trash was never removed. Hunter is no where to be found. I have asked the office (Sara) for their manager to call me and no call was ever returned. Great Roofing Company. Gave me a same day quote and finished my project within hours!

I usually do not leave reviews but for this experience I had to. The absolute worst. Scheduled an appointment with Vanessa on a day in which they cancelled due to weather without notice, causing me to leave work early and drive an hour to the house for no reason. Rescheduled for a second appointment in which they did not show up a second time without notice stating that they were going to do a "satellite inspection" service instead. Scheduled a third time and I've had to follow up with them to confirm that they were in fact going to actually show up, just for them to hang up on me and my realtor who had actually referred me this company. Extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Look elsewhere. Would not recommend dealing with these people. read more

This company is horrendous. They sent a salesman out to my house for an estimate. Although other estimates were received, i was promised a warrantee, a project manager (the salesman) on site for installation, and supreme customer service. What i receiced was ebtirely different. The team showed up an hour early to work on my roof. Thats at 6am and included in the "crew" was a child no more than 12. I called Bell immediately and was advised that the child was the child of a crew member and that this happens "often" when they do not have childcare but was assured that he would not be on my roof. He was not but this is still unsafe and made very uncomfortable. The salesman never showed or called. It was not until I called that I got a response from him. About a month later i saw water stains on the corner of my upstairs bedroom. We called back Bell. Obviously this had nothing to do with the roof but we were quoted for more work, which we stupidly actually agreed to at an additional price. The workers never showed which was a blessing in disguise. We ended up talking to a friend with roofing knowledge who said that the quote that they gave us was ridiculous. We called back Bell and they sent someone else back who off the record also said that they did not believe the issue was related to the work we were quoted to have done. We brought out Bell again and said we just wanted the work done and were willing to pay as long as they were finding the root cause of the issue. Meanwhile the guy who quoted the other work continued to press my husband saying its trial and error and pushing for the other work to still be done. In the end they agreed to run a water test to find the issue. We bought hoses to accommodate and.....they never showed. And also ignored our follow up email for a month. STAY AWAY!!
