A local chain dental service quoted me $15,000 out of pocket worth of dental work... here they quoted me 1/6th of the cost. Plus they didn't belittle me and make me feel awful for needing the work done. I've finally found a dental office I trust.

On 3/25, after paying a $450 deposit, we were informed that Invisalign could not be done. We were…read moretold it would take approximately one month to receive a refund. It is now 5/23, and after multiple attempts to contact accounting and repeated requests for a callback, I have never once received a return call. My first follow-up call was on 4/8. I was told refunds take around a month to process, and I specifically asked for confirmation on whether the check had been sent, as I was unaware it would be mailed. No one ever called me back. I called several more times afterward and was repeatedly told that messages were being placed on accounting's desk, yet I still never received any communication. I also submitted an online request, which went unanswered as well. This is my first negative review. I'm relatively patient and understanding, but the complete lack of communication and urgency regarding returning a customer's money is unacceptable. Holding onto $450 for nearly two months with no follow-up or transparency shows a serious lack of care and professionalism. I do want to add that the hygienist and dentist we worked with were amazing. Unfortunately, the establishment itself lacks communication and compassion when it comes to handling refunds and customer concerns.

So happy this dentist office has figured out how to safely operate during Covid-19. The entry to…read morethis office was designed perfectly for the pandemic. You enter the first front door, you stop for your temperature check and Covid-19 survey. If you pass the test you then enter the second set of doors and find a chair in the waiting room that have been spaced to account for social distancing. Of course all this time you are required to wear a face mask. Then in my case I was there for a long overdue dental hygiene cleaning. Each hygienists space was designed to be a separate room when this office was built. The hygienist starts by handing you a mouthwash to swish with for 30 seconds to help kill any bacteria or virus that may be lurking in your mouth. At this point the patient is safe to be without their face mask but the hygienist dons a mouth/nose covering and a clear face shield. The traditional cleaning takes place from here on with x-rays, gum measuring, water pick scaling, and finally polishing. Dr. Renshaw made his appearance and consultation after the gum measurements were taken. When you leave after your appointment you exit via the back door which puts you in the same convenient parking lot. Thanks Geri for making my mouth feel so good again. I always love the feel of my mouth and teeth after my visit to you.

I had a very upsetting experience with this office…read more I called to reschedule my appointment. I told her my name, asked what time my appointment was, and apologized. She told me it was at 12, and by the time I called it was around 1:00. When I asked to reschedule, I was told I could try calling back months down the road and they would probably have forgotten about it by then. The tone was snarky and dismissive. I had scheduled this appointment weeks in advance and had already dealt with insurance issues, so I had put real time and effort into getting it set up. I wasn't treating it casually--I was trying to fix something I had already worked to arrange. I called back again and asked if there was any way I could still be seen that day or if there were any cancellations. Instead of any normal response, another staff member got on the phone and started yelling at me to "go find another dentist." I wasn't being rude or argumentative. I was just trying to have a conversation about an appointment I had already scheduled and see if there was any possibility of being worked in. Even if the answer was no, it should have been handled professionally. Being spoken to like that in a medical office was completely unacceptable. I would not return and would not recommend this office.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Unfortunately, the worst part of the experience wasn't the…read moredentist himself, it was the horrible customer service provided by his receptionist/office manager/angriest lady on the planet. She accused me of lying, accused other patients of lying, told me it was my fault my son's tooth hurts, and said she had been there 46 or 47 years and she runs that office (with an attitude). I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything like that before, words simply can't explain how horrible she was. 100% do not recommend, especially if your child is an adult with special needs and relies on Medicaid for his healthcare expenses like my son does. Shame on the lady, but shame on you, Dr. Schneider, for allowing someone to treat your patients with such a lack of compassion, contemptuous attitude and excess of vitriol.

We chatted for awhile as the shots did their job and the tooth was out in 30 secs after he started. So I spent 3 hours the day before at Aspen and they told me an oral surgeon had to remove my tooth and he would be there in a week but because Dr. Smith has been practicing dentistry for 34 yrs, he actually knows what he is doing and doesn't try to over charge. He tells you what you need, how much it will cost and let's you make your plan. Was a great experience and now I have a new dentist.

Around 8:40 I was informed that he was running a bit behind but I was the next patient in line. I was called back at 9:05. Dr. Jae Ho Kim (I believe he travels between Aspen Dental offices as their oral surgeon) performed my surgery. He was so pleasant and apologized for the delay. He quickly took my vitals and prepped me for surgery. Christen joined him and discussed with me how everything would happen. Within literally 5 minutes of my IV sedation I was out. I woke up pain free and I don't remember a single moment of the surgery. Christen took me out in a wheelchair because I was still a bit groggy and waited outside with me until my family got back, they had left to eat because they thought it would take longer than it did. She gave my prescriptions to my mom and made sure she understood when I needed to take them and a few post op tips. It was 10:05 when I got in the car. I've been pain free all day and my bleeding was easily controlled. I had such a lovely experience here. This dentistry office is absolutely wonderful. It's clean, it's convenient, it's modern, and has a…read moregreat group of dentists, hygienists, assistants, and front office staff. Pros include: To start with they do a complete standing scan that encompasses so much more than x-rays ever could (jaw, behind back molars, space above roots, etc.). This is followed by a complete in-office set of digital x-rays. They also look at your medical history and ask questions that are appropriate. They follow safe treatment protocol in requesting the patient wear safety glasses when being treated. Unlike other dentists I've been to since moving to Kentucky they also take precautions during dental work that include isolating a tooth during treatment by inserting it through a rubber sheet. The hygienists primarily use a water pick to clean your teeth. No more having gums sliced by the oops of a metal instrument. You say you can't afford dental work. At this office you can. They take most major dental insurances but additionally they offer their own insurance. Their insurance kicks in immediately upon purchasing it so it covers even a procedure you need immediately. Since this office has a group of dentists they work a patient in if an emergency arises. It may not be the dentist you see on a regular basis but all the dentists are good. The cons: They are busy, so if you schedule your hygiene appointment in six months you better put it on your calendar and keep it or you may have to wait for someone else to cancel.

I'm currently on the road for several months and wasn't able to return home to my dentist, so I was simply looking to get some maintenance and handle a small filling while traveling. Not a complaint--just helpful to know they follow an all-or-nothing approach, so it's best to clarify flexibility in advance.

I explained to the front desk staff, the dental assistant and Dr. Barrington time and time again that my dental insurance expired the end of March 2025. Repeatedly I was told they could accomplish everything needed in that 10 week period. My insurance had sent my preauthorizations and we were on the way. When I completed my appointment on March 20th the front desk clerk said I could not get back in until mid April. Again i explained my insurance would end in 10 days. To no avail was she helpful. I was so upset I went home and calmed down and then called the office and unfortunately got the same receptionist asked if I might be able to speak with Dr Barrington at this convenience. She said no he was with patience and said assumed i was calling because kg the future appointment. She said she would speak with the dentist as well as the office manager and i would receive a call back. Of course that call his never happened. I don't know if she threw away my message and Dr.Barrington never got it or that he did and simply didn't care. Either way I still need a filling and a night guard. This practice in Frankfort Ky made promises they couldn't keep. They put on the friendly small town smiles and collect their money and then the patient is forgotten. If you are looking for a long term dental practice that cares about your dental health this is not the practice to visit. You will be a number not a patient. M Wells
