About 6 weeks ago I received terrific help from Georgia in the lingerie dept. Yesterday I went to shop for shoes and received horrific customer setvice. And very poor selection too. After hopping around in one shoe out of the box she grudgingly brought oit...seeking assistance from the now invisible sales person for the second shoe...I just left. Went to Rack Room and got exactly what I wanted. Will go back to see Georgia again but never again for shoes . read more

Horrible rude staff. This used to be a fantastic experience to shop here. No longer warm or welcoming. No matter where, Raleigh or Wilminton, your presence is met with suspicion. That is, if you can find a single staff person across the entire expanse. Sad because this place used to give bougie vibe with middle class affordable prices for those special occasions. High class products with warm southern vibe is no longer a feature. KNowledgeble staff, no longer a feature. Customer service is terrible went to go return a bag and this lady with blond hair in a bun with glasses was very rude about a rule that tags still needed to be on the bag and about threw the bag back at my face. Was so nice the these ladies infront of me then it came to me wasn't even a hello or anything just snatched my receipt. read more

I found Belk statements showing Late Fee charges in excess of 50% and 100% of a SMALL Balance and a reversal of an in-full payment (unexplained) that caused one late fee. (I was told it must have been a bank error (???)). Customer Service only has a script that tells you this is all legitimate. Additionally they can charge a Late Fee ON A LATE FEE !!!! This is all outrageous and I will cancel this credit card and NEVER shop in store ever again. read more

5:30 on a Sunday afternoon and my wife and I are pretty much the only ones in the building besides those employees "working." There were 6 employees standing around the cosmetics department talking as we clearly looked like we needed help. Not only did they ignore us, they acted annoyed when we asked for assistance. Sadly, this is one of many reasons why brick and mortar stores are going the way of the dodo bird. We will be ordering online from here on out, and it prob wont be from Belk. In addition, the coupon we had "didn't apply" to anything we bought. Which is typical every time we shop there. read more

Went in there to shop for winter clothes with my girlfriend and walked past a bed in there and jokingly threw my hands up acting like I was going to jump on it but clearly wasn't or didn't as I was about 4 feet from the bed but we kept walking for about 20 seconds and then a lady with dreadlocks and a sideways hat and fake tacky chain yelled at us saying don't jump on the beds I politely said oh don't worry I was just joking about that I wasn't even near the bed nor was I going to do it and she replied if you aren't going to buy anything please leave in which I replied no we are buying winter clothes and dress clothes here and she repeatedly told us to leave even after that to which I showed her my wallet to give assurance that I was here to actually buy things and she continued to tell us to leave in a very rude and unprofessional way and followed us calling security after we left the security came over to talk to us he was a very nice older man and when I explained what happened he agreed that it was ridiculous and power tripping what she did and recommended us another good store to shop at. Me and my family have shopped at belk for years and over the years the clothes and service have gotten worse and worse. I am not surprised that the store was practically empty and full of low quality cheap products that little to nobody likes. I have looked at the other reviews and seen many other people talk about the bad service and rude workers I AGREE. Needless to say I do not recommend Belk nor will I be shopping here in the future. And when we returned with others she came to remove us charged at me aggressively and took a video of me on her personal iPhone she then told the others with me that we're not with us the first time that I sprinted from the escalator ran and jumped on the beds and rolled around on them which I was never within 5 feet of a bed and am grown. and when they asked to see footage she refused and when they asked for her name she also refused and said if I ever came back she would have me charged for trespassing. read more

This review does not focus on anything goods or services related to Belk, but rather a hidden gem that, I'm willing to bet, most people (including locals) have not seen or even stopped to notice. I love art in all forms whether it be visual, audio or performance. So when I accommodated my Mrs. to Belk to pick up a few things, I saw this wonderful tile art mural above the exterior entrance. I zoomed in just so you can appreciate how much time, effort and detail went into this creation, using small, square tiles to create depth and a 3D effect. If you don't look up, you'll never even see it. I have no clue how long this art has been showcased above the Belk entrance, but I hope it stays for a long while and / or is preserved, in the case something should happen to this Belk. 5 Stars!!! read more

Unbelievable customer service from the skeleton crew that is working. These poor souls. Only two cashiers opened on the first floor. Each line was seven deep. No one assisting in the individual departments. Only one fitting room open. It's no wonder why everyone is shopping on line! After making myself all the way across the store to try my limit of 6 items... there was no way I was going back to look for other items. Belk is going to need a drastic change in order to survive post COVID 19. read more

Belk has definitely upped their game. Recently, I went there to find a decorative pillow for my bed. I found exactly what I needed. It was beautiful, stylish, and a perfect match. My encounter with the sales associate was a positive one. She was friendly and kind. Belk sent me a survey to complete regarding your experience. I gave them high marks because it was everything that it should have been. read more

It is a beautiful store, with high quality clothes. I feel as though this Belk is very well organized. The store feels clean, and it has a great selection. They carry Crown & Ivy, The Limited, Zelos, American Rag, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. There is a great plus size and petite section as well. The issue I have with this Belk, is they seem to only have one employee working at any given time. Regardless of whether you come in the morning, after work, or on a Sunday- only one register will be open, and one employee is working. There will be a long line, and you'll have to carry your selections downstairs to the register by Crown & Ivy. I will probably avoid shopping here in the future. read more

I went to the Oleander Drive location tonight looking for pants and to get a refund on a shirt. Only saw 1 sales associate on each floor. Both were rude and not interested in helping me. I only saw four other customers the whole time I was there. To cap the visit off, no pants in my size I did not get my refund. It was "out of their scope" and a manager was not available. Been shopping at Belks for most of my 59 years, but I won't go back!! read more

I have shopped at Belk's in Wilmington for 25 years and now it's my last. I came there Wednesday to purchase lipstick...very simple. Went to Estee Lauder counter and the saleslady said..."Chanel has some great corals!"...Ok, guess it was lunch and didn't want to help me. Went to Chanel and said yet again...I'm looking for a coral lipstick. She walked over to where they were...and walked away! Every time I go to the Chanel counter they are rude, crude and impolite. I've never seen a smile on anyone's face there. So, I left them and ended up at the Mac counter. They have always been great and the young lady was that indeed. It was lunch time and I told her I guess no one wanted to make any money before noon at the other counters! I'll take my business to Dillard's...they are always kind! read more

This Belk's store needs some major help in the Customer Service department. You actually have to hunt an employee down in order to Check-Out. There is a lady that works upstairs in the Home department. (I believe her name is Kelly). She comes off as extremely ungrateful, sarcastic, and rude. One of the Floor Manager(s) at this store (Didn't get Her Name) is downright disgraceful. She rolls her eyes at customers, gossips behind their back, and actually argued with me over a return for 5+ minutes. I eventually got my money back!!! Lastly, Clutter is a real issue at this particular store location. The store looks JUNKY!!! If Belk's would actually run a decent sell, they might could get rid of the same stuff they've had for three years!!! Would Not recommend this store! read more

I usually love Belk but that has changed forever. I have shoppe at Belk for years and my fiancé and I decided to register here for our wedding. We were able to register for items that were not seasonal and going to be available. However, as time passed our friends and family found that many things we had registered for, including our dinner ware, were no longer available. This has been ongoing and very frustrating. I may keep shopping here because I like their products but I do not recommend this for wedding registry. read more

Love the store but the bathroom was disgusting, there was no toilet paper in half the stalls probably because it was all on the floor the trash was full, paper towels all over the floor and poop on the toilet seat for a department this nice you would think they would clean their bathroom at least once a day. read more
