Belk is an old school department store in the South. My first-ever memory of department store shopping is actually from the old Belk in Chattanooga, some 30 years ago. The story there has long been part of family lore - let's just say it portended my future life as a devoted shopper. The Belk at Hamilton Place is great. I'm always a little skeptical of older stores like Belk, Dillard's and such, given that Atlanta (and even larger cities, of course) boasts Bloomingdale's, Saks, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised at most every department at this store. While many of the sections are smaller than I am used to at stores I frequent in other cities, like the solid selections in purses, say, of Kate Spade to Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren to designer's secondary brands like Cynthia by Cynthia Rowley. That last one proved to particularly good for me as I found an awesome Cynthia purse, about 30% off - a fabulous spring-y orange shade (the navy lining goes perfectly with it). So many compliments every time I wear it! The ladies lingerie department is also stock full of the good brands, especially Wacoal which is my go-to. The shoe department is solid enough - a nice selection of "cute" athletic shoes in fun colors (the good for just wearing out, not so much working out, but fun) - and a side selection of good athletic and every day socks and tights. Belk served my specific needs on my first visit and is a go-to store I think I will be able to count on for future needs!

I have never been so disappointed with a department store...looks more like a storm came through the men's department. I will post pictures in hopes that management will be embarrassed enough to do something about this!

Just moved to Chattanooga for work and went into Windsor today looking for something for an event…read moremy new work is having. Lacey and Mark had the best customer service I've seen in a long time. They greeted me instantly and asked what I was looking for. Showed me some recommendations of what they think I'd like and helped me throughout the whole process. They were a great team and made the whole experience that more enjoyable. I will definitely be back to see them when I have another occasion come up! Awesome job from this team

After hours of looking at other stores they finally found something at Windsor that she was not in love with but purchased it anyway thinking that if she found something that she liked better that she could take it back if she did not wear it. Keep in mind that the sales associates were very snappy and short about helping my wife and daughter. One of them was on the phone with a customer and overheard the interaction between my wife and an associate and snapped off something smart. Well my daughter did find something that she liked better at another store and decided to purchase it. We do not get to Chattanooga that often because we are 30 mins away. When we did get the opportunity to get back to Chattanooga to try and return the items to Windsor it had been 32 days since purchase date and they would not do anything to help us out. Come to find out the store "policy" is 15 days to return for refund and 30 days to return for store credit. First of all these terms are kind of short and second the associates would not do anything to accommodate our circumstance. I did notify the company and got a reply that someone from the company would be reaching out to me to see what they could do but no one did. I have responded several time to that email stating that no one has attempted to reach out to me but I have still not received any kind of response from anyone. I am a rule follower and understand the need for rules and terms but their terms are only printed lightly on the back of the receipt and their terms for refunds are shorter than any I've ever seen. Matter of fact my daughter wife nor I knew the terms until the sales associate point them out on back of the receipt. This is a very difficult company to work with.

There was a major lack of communication and HORRIBLE customer service. I would not recommend taking photos at this establishment under ANY circumstances. Worst experience and we didn't even get to take our photos. AWFUL doesn't even describe the customer service. Honestly they need to get fired for how they treat and speak to customers.

The photographer was super rushed and annoyed, even though we booked a session for 8-12 (only had 8) and paid the upcharge. She was clearly not experienced with the camera, because all of the kids were super cooperative and she still managed to get mostly shots of them with weird expression, hands in their face, some were even blurry though we didn't realize it until looking at the digital albums on our home laptop. We ended up spending $400 because they only show you little thumbnails while ordering photos. When I called the next morning to cancel my order and request a reshoot, no one ever called back and I was never offered any resolution. This was a complete disappointment. I suggest taking your money and hiring a professional photographer. Would probably be the same price. We used them for convenience (needed an appointment soon and it was cold outside). Won't make that mistake again.

"WOW -- WHAT a DIFFERENCE! CrocBuster Video!"…read more *FYI: I'm always on the lookout for stores in the CHA-area that sell "old-school" physical media, as I run a film series at a local arts center that relies on it for projection. I found CrocBuster purely through a fluke -- I asked Google for "dvd / video stores" near me (not expecting much of anything), but I was so pleasantly surprised -- This isn't a STORE, it's an EXPERIENCE! -- a virtual MAZE from one cool "fan-niche cubby hole" to another -- original Star Wars toys, all types of "retro kid stuff" that will bring back many a happy memory, as well as both new & used vinyl LPs, TONS of collectable VHS (Disney clamshells, etc.) and all kinds of tchotchkes and gewgaws you didn't even know existed. (The video online really doesn't do it justice -- you just have to experience it.) I had some old DVDs & VHS tapes in my car that I was hoping to unload (again, not expecting much), only to be so pleasantly surprised. The manager, Paul, turned my two boxes around in a hurry while I shopped. (Both Paul and his wife Michelle and all of the staff were very, very welcoming and helpful in a most genuine way. Michelle gave me a tour of their massive store.) I ended up using my $60 of credit (and then some!) ** Oh, prices are very reasonable, btw. Will definitely be back in the near future. Can't recommend enough -- check it out! *** p,s,: If you have a LARGE amount to trade, call ahead or contact them on Facebook to arrange a good time to bring it by. -- thx!
