Service was Fast! Great Location, right on the Main Street in a tourist area. The the meal was bland and had nothing noteworthy. You would be better off going to Burger King across the street.

Since I was in Belgium I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity of trying some of their fries. While there were a number of places around I ended up picking this place namely because I happened to be walking past it. The service was pretty quick, but that I have come to expect from fast food restaurants. As for the fries I have to admit that they were pretty good, though they didn't actually come close to the chips that I have had back in Australia, but then again I have probably become quite used to the really creamy nature of Australian chips. The place itself was pretty crowded, though most of the seating was outside - there didn't seem to be a huge amount of area inside. Still, it wasn't bad, and the chips were nice, just not great.

Frites were delicious, got the chicken skewers delicious, perfectly tender and juice, great flavor. View is great from up stairs. Staff is friendly. Lots of space upstairs. Convenient location across from my hotel. Service is quick. Great meal to end my day in Bruxelles.

Hamburger Sandwich with Andalouse sauce and fries, not a nice presentation but alright

Fries were soggy, got the wrong meal, burger was bland and tasteless. Service was ok. Worst $50 dollar meal I've had in a while.

TLDR; the 3 stars is solely for the burger. Food: 2.5 Service: 3 Ambience: 3 Overall: 3 When we walked in, the one guy at the counter greeted us and said we can sit anywhere. We ordered our burgers, the special fries, and specified we wanted tap water cause no one wants to pay for water when Europe prides itself on their clean pipe water systems. Unfortunately, the guy came back with 2 bottles of water that he had already poked a hole in and we ended up paying for it. I'm pretty sure he understood me, but I'll just give him the benefit of the doubt. We ordered the special frites, the pepper burger, and the red velvet burger. Special Frites: the description sounded amazing and with the mindset of Belgium fries in mind, i was ready to be wow'd. It didn't happen, save yourself the euros and don't order this. Maybe get a bottle of water instead. Burgers: They don't come with fries apparently... so just don't order fries. The burgers itself were perfectly cooked and was juicy while flavorful! Won't be coming back to dine in, maybe just a burger for takeaway, if they do that.

Lasagña was t bad either. You have to try Belgium waffles while in Belgium, obviously. Servers were friendly but forgot about a few of our dishes. We waited forever until everyone got their food. The rabbit meat was surprisingly tender and the stew/sauce added some nice flavor. For those who haven't had rabbit before, it takes kind of like chicken to be honest, just with smaller bones. I think the price was okay considering the quality and type of dish. The fresh grapefruit juice (€5.80) was very good too. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I was seated right away and the service speed was pretty quick. They have a decently sized indoor space as well as outdoor patio seating. The environment has a traditional Belgian restaurant/pub kind of vibe. Overall, Le Bistro has high quality traditional Belgian food in a pleasant setting and I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area near Porte de Hal / Marollen.
