We needed a speciality Emtek door handle installed, and Bob lodated a perfect match in no time at all. I sent him a photo of the existing, broken handle, and he got it ordered and installed. (I'd gotten nowhere with a locksmith in Shelton, and wasted several weeks while he strung us along.) I would recommend Bob for his skills, good communication and professionalism. read more

Stopped to see if a key could be made. Whoever was behind the desk was rude and argumentative. I remained calm and countered him. The issue was the key was more difficult and would require time on his part which frankly made no sense to pursue. Obviously with the reception I received my answer to wishing to have him proceed was NO. I told him to have a nice day. I wondered if he ever has one. Hard to believe a person in business can survive with such a foul attitude. read more

He seems very angry, now his son Danny was very help full, I was trying to get a remote programmed and he asked where I had gone to get the codes in the computer read and when I told him he basically hung up on me, I guess he did not like the shop I had gone too and told me to go to a different shop , which I had already been to and was not very helpful read more

Very quick turnaround and able to fix some very challenging issues. I brought in a lock from a vintage cedar hopechest. They told me the lock used obsolete parts. However, they figured it out and made a key to fit! Even more challenging was a disassembled lock for the door on a very old German made sideboard for which I had no key. I had spent alot of time trying to figure out how to reassemble this lock (that I disassembled myself to be truthful). They figured it out very quickly and gave it back to me with a key that worked! Friendly service that exceeded my expectations! read more

Needed keys made for our camper. The turn around time was unbeatable. Barely made it home and it was already done. Super friendly and great pricing read more

Was prompt and worked to accommodate my current door handle set up when the lock failed; made sure that it would keep working inside and out. Seemed a little pricey, but he was the only one that responded and was able to come to my property. Called me kiddo 3 or 4 times (I am 40). read more

I used Belfair Bob several years ago to get a key cut that the local hardware store couldn't get done properly. The keys I received from the automated machine at the local hardware store wouldn't work. I took the original to Belfair Bob and t was done to perfection. fast forward several years after I moved out of the area and returned for vacation I found myself in a predicament after dropping our car keys into the sound, I called Belfair Bob. He was on a bother service call but was eager to help. He called me later to tell me he had located the key at his shop after finishing his job. Luckily, I was able to retrieve our key via giant magnet the local marina lent us and it worked ! Belfair Bob was understanding that we no longer needed his services and was very understanding. I may have been irritated after going out of my way to search for a key and not getting the business. However, he was understanding and a stand up guy. Our family has a vacation home in the area, we will always use him for any further needs due to his patience, quality of work, and professionalism. read more

Stopped by and had three keys made. Boat ignition and two boat licker keys made with no problem. Great service. read more

Bob and his staff are amazing. I took my motorcycle down to have a key made last summer and not only are his staff some of the most nice people you'd ever meet, Bob himself worried over this key and its fit like he wouldn't be satisfied until it turned in the ignition just by my thinking about it. I thought it turned fine, he went and made three different keys until HE was satisfied that it did...before lubricating both the ignition and compartment locks to make dang sure everything was optimal. Went in to get an extra key cut and left with a key that was better than the original and an ignition that turned more smoothly than it ever had. For like twelve bucks. Really can't recommend these guys enough. read more

They're fast and reliable! I had gone to McLendon's in Belfair for a key replacement, which they couldn't do, and they recommended me to Belfair Bob's and they could! I'll only go to them in the future read more

On my way home from a quick errand in downtown Belfair, I spotted a large dog roaming the neighborhood on Santa Maria which is about 4 blocks from my home. I pulled over and called to him and he came to me immediately, wagging his tail and grinning in that 'big dog goofey way'. His owner pulled up and I assisted in coaxing Rebel into his vehicle. A good deed is done, right? Not if you unknowingly lock your keys in your car while this is going on. The owner of Rebel said he'd come back with a slim jim and even if he couldn't find one, he'd return to let me know. This didn't happen and I eventually gave up waiting. Instead, I walked home to grab my phone and collect the number for Belfair Bob. I returned to the scene via a ride from my wonderful neighbors Jay Sager and his daughter Meghan and less than twenty minutes later up pulls Belfair Bob. Professional, courteous, good sense of humor and respectful, (qualities that are no longer an 'automatic'), are all found in Bob's demeanor. My car was opened without a single speck of dust damaged in less than 10 minutes. At the same time that Bob was assisting me, his son, (also a local locksmith), was down at the Theler Center helping a person whose child was locked in a vehicle. I can't imagine the panic felt in that scenario. This is being written at length because I owe Bob a tremendous thank you. Because of the circumstances surrounding my situation, I wasn't charged. Turns out Bob is a big ol dog lover too and rolls around with his own dog tucked comfortably into a huge bed with a secured bowl of water next to him. He's a beautiful Bouvier des Flandres named Oliver and also an absolute sweetheart. I hesitated about sharing this part, Bob waving off a fee because I worried about his generous nature being taken advantage of. This was shared with Bob, and his response was to tell me about his son handling the vehicle locked with a child inside, finishing off by saying, "there's gonna be a few today". Belfair Bob is more than a business, it's family-owned and the locksmiths have proven time and again that the citizens in Belfair are not just a monetary number, but rather, human beings that every so often, need a hand. Thank you, Bob (Lopaka) read more

Belfair Bob's - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Belfair, Washington

Excellent customer service both by phone and in person. Bob called right before scheduled time to let me know he was on his way which I appreciated. He re-keyed four locks for me and made several copies of the keys as requested. If you are in the Mason County area, Bob should be your go to lock and key guy. Very happy with my experience with his company. Highly recommend. read more

Bob was on-time and wearing a mask upon arrival. Bob took a very difficult issue and resolved it in minutes! He also "left it better than he found it" by checking and tightening door hardware, hinges, etc and applied a specialty lubrication to ease conditions on the door. I honor a locksmith that has spent over two decades in his community and has such significant experience at his craft! read more

We had arrived to our RV at our camping lot in Hoodsport, WA and forgot our RV keys at home! We called Bob and he came to the rescue!! He had already committed to another call and gave us a very fair time estimate to begin with and ended up beating it. Super helpful, courteous and went the extra mile for us. Even helped us with our AAA reimbursement that we originally didn't think we would be able to get- We highly recommend him!!! read more

I called to ask for help with a key replacement. I spoke to a gentleman (he didn't say his name), and tried to explain what kind of key fob I had. The man then asked if i had a check engine light on and thats why my auto start wasnt working. I tried to explain that its never worked. I purchased the car new and it was never programmed for auto-start. He didnt believe me and proceeded to tell me that my check engine light was the problem. The actual problem is that the buttons fell off because the keys are made like crap in the first place, not because something isn't working. He said he could replace and re-key it my car for $275. I told him that I have the replacement shell, but I just can't seem to get the old key apart and that was what i needed help with. He told me they "don't do that" and ended the call. Terrible customer service. Maybe don't be a jerk to people and actually listen to what they say. I won't be back and I will be telling everyone I know to stay away. read more

Stopped in to get a few copies made of our car key. He(Bob) was polite and informative when answering our questions. He even walked us to our car to lubricate our locks. I don't often have a need for a locksmith but when I do in the future, Bob will be someone we return to. read more

Extremely un friendly and un professional, only reliable because hes the only lock smith between Bremerton and Shelton. Asked for a new key to be made for my vehicle and was forcing me to buy two keys at over $900 for a "complete reset" when one key is sufficient. I would highly suggest you go somewhere else to have any key or anything re-done even if it requires a small drive. read more

Very poor customer service. I understand process and Do Not Duplicate keys but the way I was spoken to and berated for trying to solve a problem was abhorrent. Bob was aggressive and rude. Our community has done business with Belfair Bob for years but after this, we will be taking our business elsewhere. It's time for him to retire. read more
