The location itself is convenient though, just at the corner of MacLaren and Elgin. Once I figured out where the spa was I was impressed--it was warm and comfortable, there's a waterfall in the waiting room and calming music playing to create a nice relaxing ambiance. We were then asked if we wanted any coffee or tea while we received our spa service. The coffee was good and nice to sip on to warm up. Melanie did my pedicure and Megan did my Mom's. They were both masked, professional and friendly. They made sure my Mom and I were both comfortable during the entire time. We sat in massage chairs that were so relaxing. There were plenty of nail polish colour options to choose from and we both chose festive Christmas colours. Overall, our pedicure experience was very relaxing and pleasant. We have had pedicures, body treatments, and massages, and we have left each time feeling very pleased. The only reason we are not regulars, is the location. For us, it's on the opposite end of town, it requires a rather awkward u-turn to get into the mall, and while we are super pleased with the services, the actual spa space could use a bit of a facelift (but that's minor in the grand scheme of things).

They bounce me around from one nail tech to another, and they do not all the same level of experience. My most recent experience might have been my last, I received a gel overlay with Shellac and usually it is no issue getting in and out in an hour. Since the tech took longer than expected to remove the last colour and shape my nails, she wasnt able to give me a proper gel overlay since I had to be out in an hour and 20 min. About 20 minutes into the appointment I had to mention that I had another appointment, I thought I gave myself more than enough time (I am seasoned at getting my nails done so I expected the typical hour appointment). With the time she spent shaping my nails, I would have expected them to be better shaped but they were not straight and were not the almond shape I requested. Since we couldnt complete the gel overlay properly the shellac colour did not go on properly and it is uneven and thick. As a loyal customer, I would have expected better service and better quality.

I've had a noticeable improvement in my skin following her suggestions. Went in a second time a week before the wedding for another facial and leg waxing. Just as pleased this time as I was the first. She even sent me home with a lovely full-sized bar of fancy soap as a wedding gift! Honestly, she is the nicest! Facial leaves you glowing, the finishing neck and shoulder massage leaves you relaxed, and Sylvie leaves you feeling like your money was just well-spent!
