A nice hole In the wall spot for some quick grab and go fries. I came to try out their caviar fries promotion and it was an interesting combination, but worked out. Besides the caviar, their fries are one of the best I've had, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will definitely swing by to to out more of their combinations. Ordering is simple and the food comes out in a timely manner. One downside is not much seating though there a couple set up tables/chairs outside.
Came here Sunday evening when no one was here, and I must say I was already turned off by the service when first getting there. The staff working seemed to be bothered as he was on his phone before AND while I was ordering, barely acknowledging and providing any sort of service. I got the medium pommes frites with frites sauce, curry mango and smokey chipotle sauce. The fries came out pipping hot, with a delicious crunchy outside and soft inside. The sauce portions are really generous, but none of them really stood out to me. The curry mango was the best of the three. If I was having a craving for fries, I'd definitely go to Pommes Frites over in Greenwich Village over this.
Came here for a late night snack and enjoyed it! I love fries so I was super excited to try this place out. Service was good, nothing too memorable. Food came out at a decent pace. The poutine fries were great. Super flavorful albeit slightly salty. I'd come here again and would try something else.
They look amazing! I suggest coming here after a day of drinking. These will hit the spot. Bc I was sober and not starving they were just ok. I would come back again and ask for more cheese on queso fries and salt on the caviar fries. Give them a try and decide for yourself.
These fries are amazing! Crispy, airy, well seasoned. A great selection of sauces. I chose the black truffle mayo and it was light. Would like to try their other sauces. There aren't any seating inside so it's more of a grab and go kind of place.
While I visited the Macy's Holiday Square pop up shop, not the original, I still have nothing but good things to say about my experience. The man working the stand was incredibly sweet and inviting, the ordering process was very quick, my food came out in a very timely manner, and it even came in a very convenient cone shape with a sauce attachment, making it very convenient to eat on the go. The fries were delicious, very hot at times, but so so good. They were big, without being too thick, and the Smoky chipotle sauce was absolutely delicious. Going to the pop up shop makes me even more eager to visit the real place, I can only imagine how awesome it is based on my short experience at the Holiday Square.
Great spot to stop at for a quick bite. They have a lot of fries variations... we ended up getting pumpkin spice which was surprisingly good. Not much space to eat - its a small stop but great!
Definitely one of the moderately high price fries/chicken places but sooo yummy. Perfectly crispy and flavored. The dipping sauce of truffle was star of the show.
Got the pop chicken and fires which was super fresh! The chicken was also really tender and crispy. Will deff be back to try other fry sauces.

Great snack for a freezing day. My boo and I ordered two of their paper cones: one filled with Bel-Fries and the other filled with popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken had fresh white meat and was larger in size than most popcorn chicken I've tried. I would moreso call it chicken nuggets. The breading was a bit on the thick side and not so flavorful. They did offer sauces, one star removed for that. It was a $2.50 upcharge per sauce and they don't give enough for one to fully enjoy their eats with. The fries were tasty and imo balanced out the plain tasting chicken nuggets, but they did add too much salt because all of the fries at the bottom were blech with the salt that shifted downward. I think their bottom fries would be tastier and less likely to accumulate excess salt if they added seasoning when frying instead of afterwards. The service was fast and friendly. They explained things we weren't sure about. Happy eats!
Stopped by here while checking out food in the area and seeing there was a fry spot which I love. I got the Cajun fries which came with two sauces one I believe with their truffle sauce and the other was like a barbecue sauce. I was not a fan of the barbecue sauce, but the truffle sauce was good. My sister also got mozzarella sticks and fries and loved it. The menu has a lot of different fry options which is really cool that range from I believe $12-$15. Service was OK nothing to brag over. He took our orders, made it, and gave it to us. The Cajun fries had a good flavor, and the poutine fries were even better though very decadent. There are also some carbonated drinks you can buy. There is small patio seating right outside the restaurant that you can sit at.
Reviews are generally positive. People enjoy the hot and crispy fries, wide sauce variety, and generous portions.

If you're gonna specialize in one thing, you better do it well. When the shop has "Fries" in the name, and from Belgium, then it better be amazing to impress me because I had the real thing. Luckily, the fries here are absolutely fantastic. First of all, it is very crispy but also airy. Just as important for me though is how potato-y it always tastes. As a complete package, it is one of the best fries in all of NYC imho. My favorite sauces Roasted Garlic Aioli and Black Truffle Mayo. On my most recent visit, I had the limited time Fries Cream, which is a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a bunch of fries. Fyi, I love this combination for its savory and sweet flavors, as well as the hot and cold contrasting elements. Really great treat. If you are looking for good fries, you found it. read more

Had a taste for some fancy French fries, so I hit up Bel-Fries. It's an open store front with outdoor seating. The weather was nice out, so I opted to sit and eat my fries. The fries were made to order, so they were nice and hot. The Caviar Fries had a nice crunch and good seasoning. The caviar was not too salty or fishy. I could have done without the sour cream, but it gave it a more polished look. $10 is a good price. 4/5 Til we eat again ... read more

My husband and I love fries so we had to sample this place. Thankfully we already had many great food throughout the day so we didn't need much late in the day. We just got the classic in small - we didn't want to pay for dipping sauce so we just went with the default ketchup. The fries were well seasoned and were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside - the way fries should be. Prices were alright for NYC. As for the service...not sure but the cashier seems to be a bit shady. The couple ahead of us left the screen on the tip page so we had to wait until the screen was ready for our transaction, but the cashier seems to have filled out the tip field himself. I think people need to be more conscious about this if they don't want any troubles. There were some seats outside which had an awning so that was nice. read more
Had Bel-Fries for the first time @ their holiday market popup since the lines were pretty short. Ngl, at first I didn't really like the black truffle fries but they grew on me. If it says anything, now I'm craving them and have a severe truffle addiction. The fries were filling and the taste was simply immaculate. Best fries ever! Defffff give this a try!! read more

These fries are fantastic! I line extra crispy fries and I was not disappointed. I got a large order of regular fries, a Coke and three dipping sauces for $19. I told the guy what I wanted and got the fries very quickly afterwards. There sauces were really good. I got garlic aioli, sriracha mayo and frites sauce (mayo, oil and spices based house sauce). The fries from bel-fries were pretty good! I got the cheese fries from there and it was flavorful. The fries were really seasoned. The portion size was also huge and it fills you up. I also liked the sauce options they had such as curry mango and sricha mayo. The service was also pretty good, the cashier was polite and gave good suggestions. My food also came out fairly quickly and the store was empty when I went. It had a nice and sleek minimalistic design to it. The prices were ok. Price: $11.16 Rating: 8.5/10 read more

If you're looking for fries that will make you question every life choice leading up to your decision to order a salad instead, Bel-fries is your place. Let's break it down: Animal Fries (m): These fries are so good they should come with a warning label. Poutine Fries (m): Fabulous doesn't even begin to cover it. These fries come smothered in gravy and cheese curds like they're trying to win a "Most Indulgent Dish" award. Definitely a dish for people who believe calories are just a conspiracy. Queso and Bacon Fries (m): Seriously. Order a small, unless you're training for a competitive eating contest. The medium is enough to make you feel like you've swallowed a small, delicious boulder. In summary, these fries are a gut-busting, belly-filling extravaganza. Enjoy every bite and remember: you might need to roll home. read more
I had heard a lot about Bel Fries, so I decided to check it out - It was disappointing. The traditional Bel Fries are nothing special and sauce is a separate cost. Additionally, when I visited with friends, the male worker with curly hair and a beard had a terrible attitude because we ordered separately - the service was horrible and he seemed to be bothered at every other interaction he had with customers. There is seating available through, in case you you want to sit and eat. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

This has been a spot that I've wanted to visit for a while. I arrived here around 5pm on a rainy day. The staff member was only person there. My friend and i ordered 3 different of their menu items as we wanted to have a variety to try. We got (all in small size) the - Queso & Bacon 5/5 this one was delicious. The fries were toasty and warm and fluffy on the inside. The queso had a nice thick cheesy flavor. The bacon was so nice too, it was a nice thick cut and had a perfectly salty taste. When the employee was assembling the fries, i had made a quiet comment to my friend that they should add more bacon. I must not have said it quiet enough cause the employee heard me and said alright and added another scoop of bacon! Thanks for the bacon generosity!!! - the cajun fries 4/5 were seasoned perfectly and they came with 2 sauces (not pictured) we got the samurai sauce 4.5/5 and frite sauce 2.5/5. The fries paired great with the sauces. The samurai sauce was tart and had a lytle heat which was great. The frite sauce had a thick mayo feeling and tast that I didn't enjoy but my friend did. - the popcorn chicken and fries 3.5/5 felt like a McDonalds old school chicken tender chicken which i enjoyed. All the food was great, the service was great and I will return to try the poutine and other sauces. read more

I decided to stop here because my youngest did not want to eat any K dogs. I remember this place from trying their fries at a night market that I had visited. They were really hot and crispy fat fries and were delightful to eat. So we came to this location and ordered on our first visit some mini corn dogs and fries and some dipping sauces on the side. DELICIOUS! The truffle sauce is a must. On the next visit was the popcorn chicken and fries. My overall take is that the mini corn dogs were so good that I didn't get to take a picture. The popcorn chicken my daughter enjoyed, but yes, the fries are the winner winner best dinner of the evening. I would pass on the cheese sauce and the Samari sauce. Just go with the truffle. That's all you need. It's so worth it. Two thumbs up from me, yes I will make another return to this franchise, maybe not this location, but I will have those fries again. Happy Yelping! read more

I tried the bel fries today and loved them. They're perfectly crispy on the outside and so soft inside. The garlic aioli was flavorful and the perfect dipping sauce for the fries. I noticed a truffle sauce on their menu also that I will be trying next time. read more
