Maybe a red flag. The other company I was debating between had no time limit or charge per hour. It was a set rate. I took the change and paid the deposit for Cartier. Requesting a quote The call with each mover is very similar. You list your items and each company values your move slightly different. Some focus on including an hour travel charge, others focus on the number of boxes moved, etc... I liked Cartier because they asked about permits and proof of insurance. No one else did and assumed it was not needed. Other claimed they had no hidden fees. Cartier answered all my questions and didn't seem to have any hidden fees either. I was taken back that their sales rep couldn't give me a total. He said he doesn't want to mess it up by adding it all up. I called back to their main office and whomever answered the phone was able to give me a total. I paid the deposit and waited. Moving day The day before I received a text confirming my move. The guys called me letting me know they were on their way. They arrived at 10: 05 am ish. My move window arrival was between 10 am and 12pm. They were in my apartment ready to go at 10:14pm and asked if starting the time at 10:15am was okay? I said yes, and off they went. I went outside to look at the truck and it was pretty run down and didn't have the companies name on it. The guys weren't wearing company shirts either. The truck was huge and fit all my stuff, but it wasn't clean or new. These guys were quick, strong, and efficient. The moved all the boxes first, then wrapped the glasses, and lastly moved the heaviest items. The drive to my new apartment was 25 minutes. They said they were going to grab some drinks and head over in 10 minutes. I went straight to the apartment and they were there by the time I arrived. Just as quickly, they unpacked the truck, rebuilt my bed, tables, and it was all done by hour 3. One of the moving guys called Sebastian, who gave me a total, charged the card, and they left. I tipped in cash. Overall thoughts This company felt like it all worked out and that is why I had a great experience. For my first time using a moving company I was impressed. I would consider using them again and you should quote several companies and see which one offers you the best.

So I had to stay home from work two days to get that delivered because he didn't show up the first day that he told me that he would even though I told him that I had to get to work by 2 PM. After I unpacked my stuff I realize that they also lost an entire bag of shoes. I called them to let them know that my shoes are missing. They told me they would call me back once they spoke to the driver, I haven't heard a word out of them since. This is absolutely crazy, especially since they overcharged me. Back then, the father/son duo of Derrick and Elliot handled the physical labor themselves as they helped us move 6 years ago. This time around, they had friendly employees handling our move. These guys were pretty fun to be around as they had great personalities as well as some funny jokes here and there. If they didn't like their jobs, we couldn't tell. It started off with a simple call to their office on a Monday. Beverly, one of the owners, took my call and asked me a few simple questions to get a general idea of how much stuff was being moved. She actually remembered us from 6 years ago and was glad that we decided to come back to use their services. Beverly recommended using 3 guys and a 26ft truck to handle our move. We booked it for Friday at 11am. They had a small move scheduled right before us. On that Friday, they came to us on time just minutes after 11am. Two of the guys were expert movers (you can tell) and the 3rd guy was on his first day on the job. He was closely supervised. First thing they did when they came in was survey all of the furniture to be moved which took only a couple of minutes. Then, they started the clock and went to work right away. 1st guy started disassembling the beds while the 2nd guy started moving the pieces. The 3rd guy stayed in the truck to load everything so that it all fit in. These guys were noticeably strong and fairly quick, but also handled our stuff with care. Most of our furniture was loaded within the first hour. The whole move took about 5.5 hours as we asked them to do a 2nd trip to gather most of the smaller things too. They worked really hard and we had a lot of stuff. Overall, we were so pleased with their performance that we bought them lunch and tipped them as well. I would say that Convenient Lifestyles Moving is everything you could ask for in a moving company with excellent customer service, unbeatable rates, and friendly and effective movers. I would definitely use them again. Would recommend them to anyone we know as we have in the past.

Despite me telling the manager the scope of the job, she only sent two men to do the work that required three. This ended up causing the move to take twice as long and instead of the move costing me $800 I was charged over $2000. From our first meeting when Charmaine went through our place with precision and detailed questions throughout and ending with our move, Robin, Charmaine and crew where the best organizers and ahead of any problems which could possibly get in our way of a smooth pack up, transition and move. They did this fantastic service while we sat thousands of miles away during this precarious time of Covid-19. Everything worked like a charm. Problems arose, a seller who refused to leave after settlement, Roofer's beginning their tasks and blocking driveways on our original move date, a house that hadn't been cleaned in 40 years, a building requiring reservations for an elevator while the office was closed... and much more! But these issues were no match for Robin and company. They single handedly and rather calmly tackled each task with professional leadership and great tact. JW Moving was a referral from a friend, so already, I thought I had a better than average chance of…read moregetting good service, but I was not prepared for the over-the-top help these guys gave me. I was unsure how I was going to move from FL to NC with 2 weeks in-between without having to load and unload my furniture into storage (and paying dearly for it) so I needed more than a little patience - I went from getting a PODS to Mayflower or Uhaul "boxes" and finally to a 20' Uhaul truck that these guys kept for me for 9 days... do you know how hard it is to find parking for a truck that size???? John came out and gave me a good estimate on what he could crate and how many moving blankets I would need - he told me where to order them and said he would go by and pick them up on the way to load me up. I changed the load date twice (but with 10+ days notice) and when they did arrive, they were skeptical I could fit it all in a 20' truck, but with forethought and "tiering" they figured it out and I make it to NC without a so much as a dent. When I picked up the Uhaul truck and prepared to drive out, John and Sharon gave me a styrofoam cooler filled with ice, gatorade and water and gave me driving tips to boot!
