Recently I got a car wash w/refueling. As I was vacuuming before the wash I misplaced or vacuumed the car wash receipt. "Whoyagonna call?" Employee, Gary w/a red shirt shows up, gets a key, crawls on his belly, inhales a cloud of debris only to find out that the receipt wasn't there; so he goes to the desk and gets my credit card and discovers the payment. I had my transmission fluid changed and oil changed they have the best mechanics and service advisors in town. Everybody is very kind and listens to your needs. They are very shady. They tried to sell me tires when I have new ones on my car. I told them the issue and then they tried to get me to do something totally outside what I needed. I even told them I needed some air in the rear tire and that I had a slow leak so I needed it check for something possibly in the tire causing it. Nope the tires were put right back on the same no rotation no air and nothing checked. I spent over 1,000.00 and they charged me $129.00 for what they called a diagnosis. What a joke. When someone doesn't pay attention to the small details then they are a turn and burn business. They don't care about repeat business. I know that I got ripped off and I learned that I won't use them again and will tell everyone not to go there. What is concerning to me is that if some elderly person were to go there they would believe these people and get ripped off. If they would try and sell me tires I dont need then god knows what they would do to someone who is elderly. read more

We were down in Florida on vacation and took a day trip to the Bradenton area when our alternator went bad. We were told to try and get to Begley's before it died, and literally made it to the intersection right in front of the station. Damon and an associate came out and jumped the car, then proceeded to determine the issue. He went above and beyond to help us out, saving our vacation. They got the car repaired and back to us the next day, with great communication and timeliness Damon could not have been more helpful or kind. I dropped off my truck for the annual checkup. I was told several things were wrong with it, so I asked for estimates. 5 Hours later I did not hear from them, so I called. A female answered, said may I place you on hold and did not wait for my answer. 3 minutes later she came back on the line and I asked her for the estimates. She said you have to come get your truck and talk to the mechanic. I said just give me the numbers. She said you want me to give you the breakdown on each of them? There are too many! Come get your truck and talk to the mechanic! Very, very rude! Once I got home I called to say that I had an appointment Monday to drop off my car and I wanted to switch it to the truck to get the work done. Her response was Oh my God! Worst customer service ever! We have been going there for years and now we are on the lookout for a new mechanic. Once she is fired, we will be back! read more

I always take my car here for whatever I need. First off, they treat my car well and don't give you the runaround. Secondly, they're straight forward and don't try and sell you on BS you don't need. Thirdly, they will drive you anywhere in town while they work on your car, which is a huge convenience factor. You can sit at home or return to work, and when they're done they'll pick you up! Fourth, and most importantly, Julie, the head mechanic, is absolutely amazing. She is courteous, knowledgeable, tough, and always puts the customers first. To any and all women I ask you to steer clear of this place! Begley Automotive is very much stuck in the 50's with its treatment of women, both to customers and their own employees. Hash words, backhanded remarks, and outright insults will head your way if you dare comment on their very ludicrous up charges and lies. To them you know nothing and will go out of their way to demand your "husband" take charge and authorize the unnecessary repair to your car. Begley Automotive is no stranger to discriminating minorities either. Anyone who doesn't look caucasian may as well be talking to a wall because here you won't be worth their time. I wish we could give negative ratings. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR ANY REPAIR. They have 2 serious problems: 1) THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. They over-filled my Mercedes with oil - hey guys, there is a sensor that tells me you did that. And, they used regular oil when they are supposed to use synthetic in my car per the manual. They are idiots who almost ruined my car with a simple oil change. Too high oil pressure can destroy your engine. Thank goodness for the sensor, or I'd have not known about their errors. 2) THEY LIE AND SCAM TO DRUM UP MORE BUSINESS. My b/f and I as well as his friend have been victimized by this place claiming there are non-existent problems with your car. I suspect they intentionally put my car out of alignment, then told me it needed aligning. His friend was told there were all kinds of issues and expensive valve repairs to be done, when all his car needed was a hose replacement. Do not buy gas at Shell gas station at 59th Street and Manatee Ave. I used my debit card to purchase $8.00 worth of gas and later my Bank told me that they have on hold $75.00 that they are holding in my account and holding my money in review... I called the station and spoke to Adam or Andy and he said talk to my bank and I said that I have and that it is a bank problem not Shell. I have a receipt showing how much gas I purchased so I don't understand why they would put a hold on $75.00 for such a small amount of gas.... This has been going on since November 19th until now and still on going.... They told me $100.00 to put in a simple part. We had the part and husband was going to install but it ended up needing to be on a lift. So they call say they want an additional $100.00 because their is a stuck bolt. We say fine knowing full well he's going to cut the bolt and it will take way less than an additional hour. STAY AWAY THEY ARE OVERSELLING PARTS AND LABOR....Well the adventure started at this station so here is my story went for an oil change and asked if the could find a coolant leak. When I picked up the van the gave me the inspection report and I recommended a new water pump at the cost of $590.. funny thing I had replaced the water pump belt and all associated parts only six months ago.so I bring the van home and check I cannot see any coolant leaking from the pump. I call and ask did you see a leak coming from the weep hole on the pump( that the most common way to check) yes was the answer. Well I was upset about the lie so the revered me to the Sunoco begleys where a free diagnostics was offered. I arrived and Gary found the intake manifold gasket to be leaking so I said fix it to the toon of $1000. (Google says between $700 and $900 for this repair) but they always have add ons. Van fixed ready to give a five star review but now coolant is leaking worse than ever. Radiator drain is leaking ( of course not there fault, never is) wanted 291 to remove and replace a$3.99 part if possible may need a new radiator for an additional $190. Now I was upset again so I picked up the van brought it home removed radiator drove to parts store and back replaced part total time 45 min. After realizing how the part came out could have done it with radiator in place. I have a problem when people over sell on car repairs. I could have been into this for over $2000 if I would have followed there recomendations SO BEWARE THEY WILL OVERSELL YOU ON TIME AND UNNEEDED PARTS THEY ARE RIPPING OFF OLDER PEOPLE, GUYS THAT JUST SAY DO IT AND I AM SURE LOTS OF LADIES WHO JUST DON'T KNOW read more
