We have been a customer since 2013 for their regular beer nuts that are shipped to us at home. They are the best peanuts around. We usually order the large container or two of them, but this time we ordered the bag, to save some money as the bag is a little lower in price. We can empty the bag into an air-tight Tupperware container. - Today I placed an order for two bags, but I made a mistake on the order, and I sent them an online form which they responded to within 30 minutes (or less). Review Visit: May 16th, 2016 You can't go wrong with some old-fashioned Beer Nuts! I've heard of Beer Nuts before but never really paid much attention to them in stores, as I normally don't purchase packs of peanuts/bar mix snacks. But while looking for stuff to do in Bloomington-Normal, I came across the Beer Nut Factory/Company Store. Much to my surprise, I learned that this factory is the only one that produces Beer Nuts for all of America. I am not sure how far their distribution goes, but hopefully you can find some at your local grocery store/gas station as they are delicious! Ok, on to the Company Store. They have a Beer Nuts Gift Store right near the entrance of their Company Store. You can kind of peek around some windows to see the inner workings of the company, but that's not why we are there. We are there to get some snacks! The Gift Store is a bit bigger than your average Gift Store, but they have a ton of product to choose from. Upon entering, there is a sampling station where you can try most, if not all of their products. I will say that I sampled most and regret not getting my hands on Beer Nuts a lot sooner. Delicious! The store has more than just nuts. They have logos on just about everything you can think of. Shirts, boxers, hats, ping pong balls, gift baskets, water bottles... the list goes on... and I don't remember what else they had, but there is almost something there for everyone. I ended up grabbing a bunch of little bags to take to work for people and a single ping pong ball. Why I bought a ping pong ball, I still don't know. They don't offer tours of the factory, sadly. In place of that, they do have a TV playing a video with tons of Beer Nuts history and tons of cool information. The staff was also super friendly and took time to explain things and joked around with my friend and I. Wrapping this up, if you find yourself in Bloomington and have no idea what to do, get yourself over to the Beer Nuts Company Store. I know I am going back next time I am in Bloomington. Beer Nuts strategic direction? I'm originally from the Bloomington-Normal area, since returning, I've seen Beer nuts close the local store located by college hills mall and the store in the home office. The only place to purchase the products are from gas stations and small local businesses selling expensive smaller packages. I visited the home office and was told use the local stores or the website. I visited the website and didn't find products I was promised. Beer Nuts used to be unique place I could take visitors, from out of state to buy product and novelty items (Beer Nuts buckets, t-shirts, hats...), being proud to live in the town where it was founded. Flash forward to today, the company direction has removed that personal touch and migrated to high profit gas station distribution model. I'm sad to say, I've lost all respect for the Beer Nuts leadership. It's still a good product, but the company has lost that personal touch. read more

My husband and I met in Bloomington at college and like to go back and visit, and always make it a point to stop at this store or the one at the mall because we love Beer Nuts! The store has changed and updated quite a bit over the years. We remember a little corner where you could sit and watch the history video on a TV- now it just plays in the store. They have great gift items and you can sample everything! I discovered the amazing Insane Grain on our last visit- kind of like Corn Nuts but tastier and not as rock hard. Yum! I love the individual sample sizes that are great to take in your lunch. It didn't feel as welcoming this time, though, which we have always felt was a large part of the charm and fun. But we will be back every time we visit Bloomington, that's for sure! read more

What a nice store? There is a gift in there for every person in my family. Everyone should consider shopping at the store or online for a stocking stuffer this year. I absolutely love the pecans that I bought. I had no idea that Beer Nuts even had pecans. The candied treats are just delightful. I grew up in Bloomington, enjoying lots of sweet and salty Beer Nuts. I moved to Virginia several years ago, and lost easy access to Beer Nuts; however, I recently found and bought a large jar from a local vendor. I was exceptionally disappointed to find that while the jar was pretty pricey, Beer Nuts executives had succumbed to pressure from investors and shifted away from coating their product in real sugar, opting instead for the lower cost, higher margin corn syrup, which appears to be sprayed onto the peanuts and makes Beer Nuts taste like plain salted peanuts. I recently visited the Beer Nuts store and picked up all my corporate holiday gifts. It was perfect because everything was packaged beautifully and ready to go! This is a fun place to visit. It is a true factory store, and the prices are quite reasonable. I could not believe the variety of Beer Nuts available. The 2 gals staffing the store were pleasant and very helpful. This might be just the place to get some stocking stuffers for Christmas plus holiday snacks. I used to enjoy the sweet and salty crunch of Beer Nuts. I have not seen Beer Nuts in the tavern for a very long time. This week, my favorite watering hole is selling them once again and I had a hanker'n for that long forgotton taste. Wow! was I surprised, and not in a good way. What happened to the sweet and salty crunch? It was nothing more than a simple bag of peanuts, and certainly not the way they were made in the past. Way to mess up the recipe. You best take off "origional" from your packaging. Super Dave in Wisconsin will not be patronizing this product. Guess I'll stick to the pickled eggs. read more
