I'm so happy to find this pole dance studio in the heart of Pasadena. It's very beautiful and spacious. With roof windows that makes dancing look spectacular. Very responsive and considerate owner. Professional instructors and great vibes all the time during classes. They have all the necessary equipment. Great location with $1 parking right across the street. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Love this studio. I attend different classes at my convenience. It's beginner friendly. Recommend this place!

I loooooved this experience! Coming in your can place your belongings on the left side with cubbies they have available. They suggest that you bring a yoga mat for the conditioning/stretching part so if you have your own I'd say bring one! This was such a different but fun kind of workout experience that pushes you to keep trying. Megan was amazing and was patient/kind with everyone- especially first timers like myself. You can ask questions and ask for help! Although as first timers my other group members suggested maybe another class specifically for folks who don't have the basics down such a grips and twists. At the end they provide little phone stands that you can use to record yourself if you'd like- such a cute touch! Overall it was amazing and I will definitely come back with more friends! Another tip: Come early, street parking only and it's a busy area!

I joined Beehive Pole Studio almost 4 years ago, and I honestly don't know how to fully put into words what this place has meant to me. I started pole dancing at 39, during a time when I was finally crawling out of a deep funk after raising my second baby on my own. My son was 6 and finally not a wild toddler when I walked through those doors. I wasn't just looking for a workout, I was looking for myself. Pole didn't just help me move my body again; it reminded me who the fuck I am. It showed me that aging isn't a limitation, that strength and creativity can evolve, and that it's never too late to fall completely in love with something new. Pole dancing became the perfect blend of athleticism and art. Everything my creative, athletic soul had been craving. I am absolutely obsessed. Beehive has been my safe haven from the very beginning. I've had the joy of growing alongside this studio, from its early days in a smaller space to its now stunning, light-filled home in the heart of Pasadena. The space is beautiful, clean, and healing, but what truly makes it special is the energy. The vibes are immaculate. And the teachers? Absolute badasses. Every instructor is deeply knowledgeable, skilled, and passionate, not just about pole, but about teaching safely, intentionally, and with heart. They meet you where you are, push you when you're ready, and genuinely want you to succeed. Their guidance has helped me grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to my body than I ever thought possible. This studio is built on community. Supportive, caring, motivating, and uplifting in the realest way. It's a place where everyone wants to see each other grow and accomplish miraculous things with their bodies. No ego. No judgment. Just encouragement and love. Beehive isn't just a pole studio, it's a reminder of what's possible when you're held by the right community. I found something here that I didn't even know I was allowed to dream of. Forever grateful.

This place is the absolute best. Number one. First and foremost, love how everyone including the owner is super friendly and welcoming. I only started here a few weeks ago and was already invited to freestyle perform at their most fun Halloween studio party for members. All my new friends cheered me on and screamed the loudest for me. I felt the love. At every class, teachers and students believe in each other, cheer us on, and are attentive to any adjustments in pacing and moves needed. All classes are exciting ranging from choreo to tricks combo based level classes. I especially enjoy Hip Hop Choreo with Alice, exotic flow with Kate, L1 with Pragon, and L1.5 with Dani. I cannot wait to take buzz choreo with Suzy and L1 with Evonne. Mini Studio Bee rentals are the best with lovely speaker system, lights, mirror, 2 poles, Lyra, flying pole, for my practice and mini jam sessions with friends. I am stoked to rent out the main studio to karaoke pole party with my friends soon. Above all, Sheila is incredibly amazing, friendly, professional, responsive, and inspirational. Woman of color boss goals. Love how she and the other teachers encourage us and train us well to compete at PSO, I hope to do this someday and know I have tremendous support from local to world champion pole dance teachers. This studio emulates care, community, beauty, grace of pole dancing. Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. One of my all time favorite places and I highly rec to all.

I'm so happy I discovered this space! Beehive is truly a special place with incredible instructors. It's a great place to for beginner to start their pole journey or to continue growing your pole skills if you have been poling for a while! I actually took an intro class a couple years ago when I first started my pole journey but I've been going regularly since moving to LA and I'm so glad! If you are a true beginner, I highly recommend taking the intro to pole course a few times before moving up (most instructors have their own style and teach different combos/tricks every time so it doesn't get repetitive). I've been trying to get to everyone's classes to try out all the different styles and I would recommend that to everyone! Cazmara definitely does more choreo/free flow, but Larry and Ellie are more focused on conditioning -- it just depends on what you like (but all of them are equally great)! My main recommendation to beginners is to not be afraid to speak up and ask questions when you're feeling lost. The instructors are very kind and will happily pause class to review a trick, provide spotting help, or even share their grip (which sometimes you will desperately need)! Just let loose and have fun with it

Can you use class pass for any of the time slots on the schedule listed on the website?

No only certain times are listed in the classpass app

Can I purchase the intro sale deal in person or does it have to be online?

I think everybody is through the mindbody app. You also have to book the class you want to attend online.

What's the cost for classes? Is it a monthly fee or per class. I am a beginner.

I recommend getting the 3 class pass on the mindbody app, after that you can choose to go by month or they also have a package of classes per month on their website.

Is there a weight requirement I'm 260 and was wondering would that be a problem?

Call Sheila at the studio. She wants to work with you. Thanks.

Does this studio exist and is it open right now?

    Yes, call for class times.

I also tried their Mat Pilates class, but prefer the Aerial Hoop class. Both classes I attended had 4 students which made it great for beginners and those interested in learning Aerial Hoop or Mat Pilates. Mat Pilates with Emma was a calm, casual paced class without music that improves concentration in certain muscles of our body. Some stretches and movements are more challenging than you'd think. Aerial Hoop with Stephanie was challenging and really tested my strength and flexibility. The class had 3 hoops, some were higher and some had a thicker bar. The class started off with stretches before we learned aerial moves on the hoop. The other students already had experience, so they practiced more advanced moves. At the end of the class, everyone performed the entire routine we learned along with music. Each student brought out their tripod to film their movements. Another student helped record mine. By the end of the class, I didn't realize I got a blister on my hand until I got home. Time to do more bar exercises after it heals! Some random things to note: The parking lot is convenient and doesn't seem to get busy. Shoes are taken off and stored in the cabinet to the right of the entrance. It's recommended to bring grip socks for all classes. Yoga mats are available, but feel free to bring your own. Both instructors were kind, encouraging, and corrected our form. I enjoyed the smaller classes and would highly recommend, especially for beginners!

All the reviews are about Adam and Melissa seems to mostly be absent -my experience probably speaks…read moreto why that is. If you have a duel diagnosis I really do not recommend using Melissa as your therapist. Not only did she misidentify the core issue (another therapist agreed that her judgement was poor), she was contacted specifically to do EMDR as she is certified to do, (apparently, by a website that no longer seems to exist) and instead she used a modality she preferred. When confronted, she claimed there were "elements" of EMDR when in fact she used zero bilateral stimulation of any kind, no eye movement, nothing. Having now experienced proper EMDR I can say she misled me and wasted my time. I came to her for an APA-certified, scientifically proven therapy - not a therapy that only has anecdotal evidence. Proper EMDR should only take a few months and this woman dragged out our relationship this way for almost a year. She cost me precious time because she decided she knew best. Not only that, instead of recognizing my family as the ongoing cause of and genesis of trauma, she actively made excuses for them and pulled the very invalidating "but they're your family" reasoning when I was considering pulling away. I found this invalidating and frustrating even before I discovered her dishonesty. She comes from a very actively Christian background which I had no idea about when I hired her and so I am unsurprised that she defended the family unit above her client's best interest. In fact, if you're native or a person of color, you should know she still has her work on a racist, colonialist "mission" proudly displayed on her linkedin. In fact, I noticed that she changed the summary to say that what she was doing there was "home building" which is interesting because months ago it said she was there "church raising" - so I guess my email pointing out the shame of celebrating that extremely problematic thing inspired her to cover her tracks. Pretty gross. So not only does she believe that she gets to decide for her patients despite their specific and repeatedly stated wishes, choosing a non-APA certified therapy over a certified one, she's always believed the white savior knows best. People like her are insidious because they don't immediately present as bad therapists but anyone considering her should be very aware that she comes from a Christian background and she does as she pleases, at least to this POC client, while missing the deeper causes of trauma, focusing only on the surface stuff that she was spoon fed, rather than intuiting the true causes as another therapist immediately did. I want my year back and I will never get it but at least I can warn others.
